I was going to say the same thing. For Bush to call Congress irresponsible is so typical of so many who got us into this mess, call everyone else exactly what YOU are. Does he realy think anyone except "loyal Bushies' has any faith in his judgement? He's a fool and most know it by now. I can't understand why there isn't 100% opposition to him and his cabal but I guess some people will just never admit when they're wrong.

This is just sour grapes. The US military, under the leadership of President Bush, did win a stunningly quick and virtually bloodless victory in Iraq in spring of 2003. President Bush was entitled to his moment of glory and to honor the valor and skill of our brave fighting men and women, which he did most eloquently. To keep carping about this years later, with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, is in very poor taste to say the least. More importantly it denigrates our troops and encourages our enemies. If the Democrats think these cheap theatrics are a winning political strategy, then they are plain nuts. Can you say boomerang?

At this point, I'm just waiting for Condolleezza Rice to announce "no one could have possibly forseen that Democrats would send a funding bill to the president demanding a withdraw from the war."
Our friends in the White House don't take to warnings too good.

Way to go, Brad.
Nabalzbbfr, come towards the light, my friend... don't eat that yellowcake...
Speaking of which, did everyone see this except from TUCKER posted over at Raw?
http://rawstory.com/news...ake_memo_leads_0430.html
27-year CIA analyst Ray McGovern says he has evidence implicating Cheney as being behind the bogus Niger/yellowcake bullshit (big surprise). But McGovern declines to elaborate firther at this time. Note to Conyers and Waxman: sounds like our boy needs protected witness status. Can you please call him to testify, reveal to the world that Cheney is a treasonous fascist traitor and end our nation's long dark nightmare?
Just a suggestion. Or we can just keep throwing more billions at neo-con scams and schemes to empty the US treasury, control energy and kill lots of brown people. Tough choice.

Iraq occupation may be a failure for the people of US, GB, and Iraq. But perhaps those who profit from wars see it as a big success - the longer it lasts, the more money they rake in. Justice is long overdue.

To Nabal(duh)
Near bloodless?! You say that as if Iraqis don't bleed. Get real. Taking out Saddam was like a pitbull going after a lame mouse. Big accomplishment. Wow, I'm just so proud of our President. What a man!

US Congress Votes to Outsource Presidency
APRIL 28, 2007: Washington, DC (AP) --- Congress today announced that the office of President of the United States of America will be outsourced to India as of July 1, 2007.
The move is being made in order to save the President's $500,000 yearly salary, and also a record $521 Billion in deficit expenditures and related overhead the office has incurred during the last 5 years.
"We believe this is a wise financial move. The cost savings are huge." stated Congressman Thomas Reynolds (R-WA). "We cannot remain competitive on the world stage with the current level of cash outlay." Reynolds noted.
Mr. Bush was informed by e-mail this morning of his termination. Preparations for the job move have been underway for some time.
Gurvinder Singh of Indus Teleservices, Mumbai , India will assume the office of President as of July 1, 2007.
Mr. Singh was born in the United States while his Indian parents were vacationing at Niagara Falls , thus making him eligible for the position. He will receive a salary of $320 (USD) a month but with no health coverage or other benefits.
It is believed that Mr. Singh will be able to handle his job responsibilities without a support staff. Due to the time difference between the US and India, he will be working primarily at night, when few offices of the US Government will be open.
"Working nights will allow me to keep my day job at the Dell Computer call center," stated Mr. Singh in an exclusive interview. "I am excited about this position. I always hoped I would be President." A Congressional spokesperson noted that while Mr. Singh may not be fully aware of all the issues involved in the office of President, this should not be a problem as President Bush was not familiar with the issues either.
Mr. Singh will rely upon a script tree that will enable him to respond effectively to most topics of concern. Using these canned responses, he can address common concerns without having to understand the underlying issue at all. "We know these scripting tools work," stated the spokesperson. "President Bush has used them successfully for years."
Bush will receive health coverage, expenses, and salary until his final day of employment. Following a two week waiting period, he will be eligible for $140 a week unemployment for 13 weeks. Unfortunately he will not be eligible for Medicaid, as his unemployment benefits will exceed the allowed limit.
Mr. Bush has been provided the outplacement services of Manpower, Inc. to help him write a resume and prepare for his upcoming job transition. According to Manpower, Mr. Bush may have difficulties in securing a new position due to limited practical or successful work experience. A Greeter position at Wal-Mart was suggested due to Bush's extensive experience shaking hands, as well as his special smile

How 'bout we listen to the generals on this one?
05.01.2007
Washington, DC
Today, two retired Generals who led troops in Iraq expressed outrage at the President's veto of the U.S. Troop Readiness, Veterans' Health, and Iraq Accountability Act.
The President vetoed our troops and the American people. His stubborn commitment to a failed strategy in Iraq is incomprehensible. He committed our great military to a failed strategy in violation of basic principles of war. His failure to mobilize the nation to defeat world wide Islamic extremism is tragic. We deserve more from our commander-in-chief and his administration.
--Maj. Gen. John Batiste, USA, Ret.
This administration and the previously Republican controlled legislature have been the most caustic agents against America's Armed Forces in memory. Less than a year ago, the Republicans imposed great hardship on the Army and Marine Corps by their failure to pass a necessary funding language. This time, the President of the United States is holding our Soldiers hostage to his ego. More than ever apparent, only the Army and the Marine Corps are at war - alone, without their President's support.
--Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton, USA, Ret.
