Pre-election polls mean nothing and New Hampshire last winter proved that as Obama had a solid 8-12 point lead. Somehow Hillary overcame that and won the state. Don't pay attention to polls.

It's pretty obvious that polls are being rigged to make people think certain candidates are doing better than they are. McWarmonger for example. You rig the poll to show he's up there in public opinion and that paves the way for the media to report how popular he is. It all makes it much harder for some people to believe the elections are rigged. It's all part of a comprehensive plan to keep fascists in power.

Hillary overcame that on EVMs only. All the paper ballot precincts had Obama ahead. We've been on that story too.

Since this is a wonderfully, overdue, OPEN THREAD...
I wanted to take the time to correct the last link I made. For some reason the photos I tried to link to in a single link called "nitro" were scripted to be protected at that server location.
I've re-published on my own server so that you can actually see what it was. I guess the cyber-trolls could always go search the bradblog headquarters web hosting server to see the source code of that post to make sure I ain't a terrorist or some fucking nonsense, wasting your tax dollars.
What I am talking about is my new (1980's) Peavey Nitro.
That's a fucking guitar, NOT A SMALL NUKE. The link "nitro" was it's picture on eBay where I bought it.
And "working on my nitro", as you can see from the pictures, it needs a tremolo, a screw for the top of the neck, six wood screws with a back plate cut out of a suitcase (no not a nuke) plastic, some cleaning --- if not a complete custom paint job. Although the green isn't that bad if you actually seen it, I think it needs a nice color like international orange....
working on my nitro #1
working on my nitro #2
working on my nitro #3
working on my nitro #4
Now the political cyber-trolls can't say I was talking about a working on fucking nitroglycerin bomb or some shit nonsense, in an effort to bring me trouble. If I had nitroglycerin, I would take it to stop my heart from having a heart attack from all the fucking nonsense in that last thread.
That last thread got pretty disgusting before it closed, some of the worst shit I ever seen on the Bradblog. Historic.
Like a dumb fuck, I fed the trolls, but hey why the fuck should I let them get away with that shit unchecked, when I SEE it's clearly wrong, and clearly disinformation. Hopefully you noticed at the end (before the thread closed) they couldn't say shit about me anymore. Either they didn't have time to come up with more psyop shit or they didn't bother to read any of the links.
Anyway, we are talking about a $200 fucking guitar not some meth tweak'er working in his garage making a bomb for some target.
These people that are doing this cyber-warrior "preemptive government backed politically motivated intelligence operation with the blessing of the no oversight FISA" on my favorite blog is really a pisser for me. I couldn't just let that shit go, even if it makes ME a fucking political target by the same.
I learned early on in the Music Business you make friends and enemys, well those we not friends folks. All Bradblog regulars excluded of course.
I don't give a fuck if you vote for Mr Ed The talking horse or Ferdinand the bull, I want the votes to be on paper with (meaningful) public oversight and a public with law enforcement assistance unbroken chain of custody. e.g. Where the cops work for the people doing the oversight instead of the fucking corrupt election officials.

Also, any "law enforcement" that is involved with elections, MUST KNOW THE LAW. If they don't they are a hindrance, not a help.
In other words, you don't put fucking "Dirty Harry" with full riot gear in charge of oversight. You put Andy Griffith (who has common sense, educates himself with the situation (cough technology, which should be reduced to a fucking paper and pencil) and wholesome values) in charge of doing the poll-watchers bidding, and the power to lock up the election officials.

Yes, I most certainly do. I believe the senile warmonger who has been collecting 100% disability since returning from Vietnam and doing everything he can to prevent other vets from getting the same benefits is lucky if 20% of the voters want him... maybe this Palin thing has pushed him clear up to 30%, but that's as good as it gets for him.

Given that at least 75% of the electorate is at least marginally lucid, it is in fact vastly more reasonable to assume the polls are complete fabrications.
It's completely unreasonable to assume anyone would vote for Bomb-bomb-bomb, bomb-bomb Iran when everyone knows it would quintuple our own misery, not to mention irradiate millions in the ME.
So if you want to stick to what's reasonable, why not look at what's ACTUALLY so... see how badly you want to keep playing word games on blogs after you mull ACTUALITY a while....

I really am angry. And I do find it disgusting that you aren't, among other things. And, yes, I do very strongly feel that ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, Rasmussen, Gallup, USA Today, etc. have all fabricated their polls. None of the media people are reporting actuality, nor have they been for years and years --- nothing resembling journalism anymore, very blatantly only reporting propaganda --- and the pollsters are easy enough to subvert. It's OBVIOUS something is extremely rotten in Denmark and it's becoming increasingly obvious what that is. You want reasonable: It's completely unreasonable to believe this bunk being put out as fact. That more media leads you to believe everyone else believes it, doesn't make it so... just makes you gullible.

If Obama were so far left the progressives wouldn't be so pissed off at him. He's ceded enough ground to the fascists, completely unapologetically, that you don't sound lucid making goofy assertions like that.
He's done such a bang-up job of pleasing the conservatives that I know a bunch of them who are positively gushing over the prospect of having him for president. A Rovian tactic.
Let's not talk in terms of what the current definition of words are, let's hijack everything and instead use bad definitions, lies, propaganda and word games.
Let's confuse everything by purposely deceiving people, and time shifting facts that are never corrected, or are irrelevant, once corrected, if ever, likely never.
Let's set the topic, and force everyone to talk about A, when B is more important, let's use A to stir everyone up, while B is simply forgotten.
Let's run American Idol instead of talking about nuclear secrets being sold.

But really, read that speech, it is exactly the same thing we are talking about today...I'm not shitting.
One quick one:
The opposition in this year has already imported into this campaign a very interesting thing, because it is foreign. They have imported the propaganda technique invented by the dictators abroad. Remember, a number of years ago, there was a book, Mein Kampf, written by Hitler himself. The technique was all set out in Hitler's book - and it was copied by the aggressors of Italy and Japan. According to that technique, you should never use a small falsehood; always a big one, for its very fantastic nature would make it more credible - if only you keep repeating it over and over and over again.
and sooo much more

When truth is a secret.
Nothing is left but fibs.
When the fibs are validated
Lies can propigate
When the lies develop into plants
They become propaganda
After propaganda is given a delivery method
Truth is erased.
Time then shifts truth long enough for an attack.
The attack is strong enough to maintain more secrets.
Secrets that produce fibs
fibs that produce lies
Lies that are given more delivery methods
Lies that CONTROL delivery methods
This is the foot in the door of the destruction of America from the inside by oath breakers.
Oath breaking is serious business.
Yet secrets keep it from being accountable.

Yes, I too am extremely concerned about poll numbers. Where did the McCain camp get the poll numbers that 20% of white women have moved over to McCain within the last few days. Think it was an ABC poll. Don't trust that poll, but that's what the media has been reporting tonight. They are floating the message and we still have eight weeks to go in this election. The squeeze is on. Quite a few journalists and the msm questioned its legitimacy. If the polls reflect a close race, even though in reality the race is NOT close, I think we're f*cked. I'm fit to be tied tonight. I'm losing it. Going nuts. Panicking. I can't stand the dirty tricks these repugs use each election. Wish I had some answers or suggestions, but I don't.

You know, it's cool that you remembered me from two years ago, I barely remember that. The reason I remember it at all is that I learned from the Brad Blog that my county (S.D.) was sending diebold machines home on overnighters with poll workers.. some of them for nearly a week prior to the election. Machines, voting machines, sitting in someone's garage for a week with no accountability. When I voted that year, I requested and received a paper ballot. Since then I have developed more of an interest in the integrity of voting. You see, whatever the politics we can learn from others who think differently.
Now we're in another election season. I was reading a thread on a different website about diebold's.. and I started thinking.. what was the name of that website?? Took me a moment to google vote fraud or something and I found it.

The fact fascist media is attempting to flood the spectrum with unvalidatable poll results, to me means they are more propaganda generator than Reporter or Journalist.
But, by my mere addressing the topic of poll results, I fall into the same trap as others, of allowing my time, thoughts, and discussion to be dictated about something that being used to deceive people into being worried about loosing an election, and robbing everyone of discussing what the hell to do to fix the problems this administration has created for us.
I don't want to talk or hear about POLLS, I want oversight of this executive that is completely out of control. I want to see, media point cameras into the faces of government corruption, and election integrity.
It's still not too late for paper ballots. But instead of asking why, we'll get a poll about how well electronic voting machines are doing.
And finally,
to gettheledout,
if you were trying to find out about election fraud with electronic voting machines from diebold / premier your search term should have been "election fraud" not "voter fraud." It's no wonder it people don't know about it, because the terminology was purposely skewed.
Time for my coffee, and snuggle with the cat..
Everyone's probably sick of hearing me today so I am giving it a break.

It's obvious that most media outlets disrespect and despise the American people. It's probably because the only stories they get sent to report on are people whose lives are falling apart. I don't think it's at all crazy to think the polling organizations are not being run by the same kind of people who run the media. They are controlled by people who don't want to hand power and wealth over to the general populace.
There's one type of data they can't control though. The banking system. People get to know where every penny they spend or make goes, and maybe that's why the following got reported on in the second largest circulation paper in supposedly red Utah.
Obama is pulling in 19% more money here than McCain
There is a shill at a local organization called "The Hinckley Institute", (sounds important doesn't it): His name is Kirk Jowers and is quoted endlessly around here. This article is no exception. He was on a TV talk show here saying he thought the voting machines were just fine. He says in the article that he thinks "McCain will easily win Utah in November"
When McCain came here to raise money with Bush recently, it was obvious that if they held a fundraiser for the masses, it would be a pathetic showing, so instead, Bush's huge motorcade drove to somebody's house where a lot of money was raised from a very few, very rich elite. The media was excluded from the small gathering which included Mitt Romney, Orrin Hatch and other local government snots.
Let me see here. A whole bunch of average income folks are raising 19% more money for Obama, but McCain is going to win easily in the election.
I've never been great at math, but...WTF!

I have been shouting this for years now every chance I get.
It was blatantly obvious the Reich wing did this (skew polls) in 2004.
There is zero doubt that the REAL candidates that were way ahead in any real poll when this all started about a year ago was Kucinich for the Dems and Paul for the Rethugs.
Both of them were completely ignored by MSM, then marginalized and demonized. This S-election has ALREADY been stolen because neither Obama/Clinton/McSame were ever the first picks for Pres. In the beginning Obama never got higher than 2nd-3rd, Clinton rarely got over 3rd-5th.
McSame was never higher than 4th.
Kucinich & Paul were the clear front runners until the Media got through with them.
These polls are rigged without any doubt.
They are including FAR more Rethuglicans than there are on the voter rolls.
They are not calling Cell Phone users which are by & large younger & mostly Democratic voters.
Democrats out number Rethugs by AT LEAST 11+ Million and that is a conservative number.
Even many rethugs (the ones that aren't Christofascist lunatics) are disgusted at what has happened the last 8 years, they certainly aren't fired up to go vote the McSame bullshit to continue.
Democrats and any one SANE is fed up with this bullshit.
These faked polls are a ploy by the Reich wing media to "make it appear" as though it is even remotely possible for McSame to have a chance in hell. This is to make it easy to STEAL this S-election just like they did in 2000 & 04'.
Unlike most of you here I personally believe it is going to work like a charm.
From what I can tell the general population in this country is just as dumb as a stick and can be so easily swayed by what is clear & blatant propaganda. It is just way to easy.
When you have over 50% of the country gullible enough to believe all or in part in Creationism then what you have is a population that will believe ANYTHING no matter how absurd.
All the MSM has to do is keep repeating it.
Hitler/Goebbels Big Lie Theory works and they know it especially when the majority of the general population is stupid & gullible.

Controlling Perceptions And Bias Polling
I have been up in arms about polls for the last two presidential elections. The Republicans have resorted to using polls to halt momentum and zap enthusiasm. RealClearPolitics.com is clearly the Fox news of the polling world, and anyone can spot their bias tactics with simple observations.
First off, this site uses Gallup and Rasmussen tracking polls has valves to rise and lower their polling numbers as needed. Whenever any un-conservative poll is released showing Barack Obama ahead of McCain by more then 4 points, these two tracking polls will lower their polling numbers so McCain stays close. I am not sure why they have tracking polls mixed with time released polls anyway, but my title gives a hint.
The folks over at RealClearPolitics are very selective when they want to be. IBD/TIPP released a poll showing Obama with a 5 point lead. This poll was not included in the average. I guess in their eyes it dose not count. It should because it covers the same dates up to the 7th of this month.
Don't trust Gallup polls. They have resorted to trying to control the averages by multiple releases. I know you have all seen it. (Gallup/CNN, Gallup/USAtoday and USAtoday, CNN and Gallup alone)Before you know it, they have released 3 or 4 polls with similar numbers. How is that for control?
I am not sure why so many MSM commentators use Gallup polling numbers. They have been off from other polls since I could rembember. They always favor conservatives; you must not forget this point because they can piss you off.
In general, the polling tools are not as honest and objective as they once were. They are taking on a supportive role for right-wing narratives. CNN, MSNBC use Gallup as if they were made for them exclusively and sometimes I think they were.

Good editorials I read yesterday:
Glenn Greenwald about the myth of the "liberal media"
http://www.commondreams.org/view/2008/09/08-4
and
Juan Cole compares Palin to Muslim Fundamentalists and finds that Muslim Fundamentalists are more liberal.
http://www.commondreams.org/view/2008/09/09-7
Some tidbits he reveals:
She favors teaching creationism in schools.
She favors book banning from libraries
She's clearly anti-abortion ... with a position more extreme than even existing Iranian law.
She doesn't believe humans have caused global warming.
Maybe the lipstick on a pig comment COULD be fairly applied to her.....

All of Europe and probably the rest of the world is holding its breath, hoping and praying that Obama will carry the day and that qthe US will then finally stop misbehaving, to put it mildly. It's crystal clear from here that Obama's election is inevitable unless Rove&Co. can somehow steal yet another election. The only way they can hope to get away with gaming this election is if the polls make it look close. This "vast, right-wing conspiracy" to rig the polls is scaring the crap out of me, to be honest. Porky Rove's fingerprints are smeared all over the situation. The world is fed up with The Oily American. Please, America, make it too lopsided to steal. For everyone's sake...

I'm really glad to see that HuffPo and Kos are onto this outrageously skewed polls thing. They are big enough to get some action. Freaks me out how far behind they are on so many things, but this is encouraging.

Well, Arianna tried the "polls are silly" approach a few months ago, skirting the issue of them being made bogus to gain credibility for election theft, but I guess using it to make warmongering liars look popular was too much even for her... maybe even too much for Kos, whose willingness to ignore criminality is about as pronounced as Pelosi's....

I don't know how long the advertisement will stay there, but right now, at the top of the video below these comments is a link "Rush Linbaugh Yes or No" If you vote you don't get the results unless you sign up for taking surveys etc.
But the video there - OMG!

In 2004, Zogby polls were the reliable polls to watch. I do feel Obama is more aware of the surroundings, more so than Kerry...what a disappointment!! We all knew what was going on, and Kerry had his head in the sand so as not to offend anyone! He played right into rove's act.

I just wanted to go on record today to say that after about 7 years of researching every detail about 9/11 as much as I possibly can with the resources that we all as American citizens have.
I can confidently say that without ANY doubt what so ever that 9/11 WAS AN INSIDE JOB.
ALL of the evidence shows this very clearly & the Laws of Physics don't lie.
So how many here in the last 7 years have been enlightened to this fact? and how many are still blinded/brainwashed by the Reich wing media propaganda?

There has been much discussion regarding the recent McCain “surge” in the national polls.
Most of the national and state polls are sponsored by the corporate MSM. That’s one reason why the Democratic poll numbers will always understate the True Vote.
http://www.geocities.com...el/2008ElectionModel.htm
The national polls indicate a close race. The National 5-poll projection model is a virtual tie. But Obama leads the State Monte Carlo simulation model by 51.9-48.1% with 315 expected electoral votes.
Some national polls increased Republican sample Party ID which increased McCain’s poll numbers. Recall that the 2004 and 2006 Final National Exit Polls weightings were adjusted to match the recorded vote miscount. But all category cross-tabs had to be changed, not just Party ID. Of course, the Final Exit Poll (state and national) is always matched to the recorded vote even though it may be fraudulent – as it was in 2000, 2004 and 2006. This cannot be emphasized enough. Say it loud again and again.
In 2004, the 12:22am National Exit Poll (NEP) had a 38/35 Democrat/Republican Party ID mix. Kerry won the 12:22am NEP by 51-48%.The mix was changed to 37-37 in the Final NEP to force a match to the recorded vote; Bush won by 51-48%. Likewise, the Gore/Bush “Voted 2000” weights were changed from 39/41 to 37-43 in the Final. The election was stolen. Bush was the official winner by 50.7- 48.3% with 286 EV. The Final Exit Polls were adjusted accordingly.
In the 2006 midterms, the 7pm NEP had a 39/35 Dem/Rep weighting mix. The Democrats won the National Exit Poll by 55-43%. The weights were changed to 38/36 in the Final NEP to match the 52-48% recorded vote. The margin was cut in half. Likewise, the “Voted 2004” weights were transformed from 47 Bush/45 Kerry to 49 Bush/43 Kerry in the Final. The landslide was denied. Some 10-20 Dem seats were lost to fraud.
The “dead heat” claimed by pollsters, bloggers and the media is a canard- unless they are factoring fraud into their models and not telling us. The media desperately wants a horserace and so they fail to adjust the polls for undecided and newly registered voters. They avoid McCain’s gaffes, flip-flops and plagiarisms while he supports the most unpopular president in history.
In a true democracy, this election would be a slam dunk. Obama needs a massive voter registration effort to overcome the fraud. The dirty little secret of election fraud has always been off the table in Congress.

This election is a loss either way (with our 2 options being McLiar and his Guns-Gawd-n-Gays Lady or the Spineless Democrats- I can't even get the Obama campaign to unsubscribe me from their annoying website let alone listen to me about the Fourth Amendment) but we're REALLY gonna loose this election and our nation (i.e., get stuck with the cadaver-n-the killer) because of Americas deepening parochialism.
It is difficult to confront parochial people with expanded views precisely because they're parochial. Meanwhile, (i) the election is being rigged, (ii) Karl Rove is imprisoning innocent people when it is he who should be in prison, (iii) Paulson may be the ex-CEO of Goldman Sachs but his loyalties are pretty clear and (iv) Sarah Palin (the defiler of fellow women, the would-be defiler of what remains of our constitution, the muzzled pawn of a future Dick Cheney orchestrated fake presidency) is facing ethics charges. But the voters are snapping up strategic lie after strategic lie like a shoal of starving pirañas and bickering among one another over non-issues while glaringly obvious truths rest right on the tips of their noses! It makes the sane among us wanna scream "WAKE UP SHEEPLE!" but we know the flocks cannot hear us with such firmly clenched eyes-n-ears. Alas...a dilemma remains: how does one permeate the closed mind?
Popular opinion suggests one starts by asking what has caused it to close. Often it is said that a vast number of Americans have been frightened numb. So how does one "unscare" people, particularly when the fear has followed psychological pathways and lead to anger? How does one get frightened, numb angry people to (in the nicest possible way) shut-up and listen without erupting with Fox Spews?
I try to avoid catch phrases and talking points but it bares repeating that such mental shortcuts lead to people voting against their best interests time an time again. I've been listening to the news (real and manufactured), scanning the relevant (and irrelevant) websites and monitoring numerous blogs, I have observed that the thought processes of too many of us have been infantalized so much so as to be incomprehensible.
Of course there are exceptions (just scan this blog to find clear, illuminated thinking but are there enough of us? I think not. I suspect that there is a vast and dangerous pool of the numbed-n-dumbed lurking out there with their reactionary little digits poised to screw us all. And if it weren't for the fact that America is the source of some of the best thinking (and art) on the planet I'd be prepared to say "F--- -t! They'll get what they deserve!" But I can't go there because of "YOU". "YOU" don't deserve it ("YOU" know who "YOU" are).
Last night I watched a television "discussion" program. The topic was the U.S. election. The guests consisted of a group of American voters, a selection of students, workers, home owners ect. There was an equal balance of black and white people. This Australian produced program is hosted by an astute, articulate woman who handles large groups of people with opposing viewpoints with the strength of a rodeo rider. The format is "round table" but with her at the helm. I have never once seen her fail to bring people together in intelligent debate- until last night.
I was watching with my Australian husband and I was utterly and completely embarrassed to be the American in the room! These people were painfully incapable of discussing even the most rudimentary topic and were so ill-informed that I spent the hour rabidly spitting facts at the TV! They were full of radical, reckless opinions but had no knowledge-base to back any of it up. It was as though every single person in that studio had a bumper sticker machine inserted into their cranium! What has happened to my people?! What has happened to the thinkers?! Are these citizens not even remotely curious?
What I found most astonishing was: on the stage were white people- clearly affluent, and black people- clearly disadvantaged; however, both were equally disconnected, apathetic and ill-informed; the former due to being spoiled, pampered and bored from having too much their whole lives and the latter from being abused, disenfranchised and bored from having nothing but struggle their whole lives. The end result was exactly the same! Both the privileged white people and the poor black people were equally discouraged and equally unconcerned about factual debate.
Most frightening was the fact that the entire group was clearly unprepared for the ensuing fascist takeover of America. It was like watching a herd of caribou in headlights...as they adolescently screamed over one another- saying virtually nothing- it was painfully clear that even basic issues such as civil liberties and constitutional laws and freedoms, were entirely beyond their understanding- no, beyond their interest level.
What has caused this obliviousness? Does no one over there comprehend that there is a presidential election occurring that is almost entirely orchestrated by one man? Does no one see the Rovian illusion surrounding the McPalin campaign which is unfolding in almost complete isolation and a veil of blatant lies? This is an embarrassment and antithetical to everything truly "American" and yet they all appeared utterly clueless! Is reading, listening and watching too much to ask from the population of what was once the most free nation on the planet; or has being willfully ill-informed become the new smart?
I recorded the program and played it for my book club this morning (many of whom are also Americans living down-under). I put a hat on the table and passed out paper and pencils and asked that everyone write down the words that came into their heads while watching: here they are (with the repeats removed):
Intellectually incurious, isolated from the anything but ones own image, grasping, going down with their ship, saturated in self, panicked, childish, freaked out, sputtering, nasty, blind, empty, stereotypically vapid, what-no-required-reading?, hysterically suicidal, complacent, asleep, it's-sexist-NOT-to-ask-that-woman-questions!, idiotic, narrow, self destructive, small, hideous shrieking irrelevance, divorced from the truth, unaware of choice, shallow, tiny, incapable of reason, hollow, no credibility, war, nationalistically programed, poor impulse control, frantic festering stupidity, arrogant ignorance, self centered, feed-me! feed-me, incompetent, gawd awful, painfully suppressed, excruciating, thick, slow and dumb, doomed...the average American has become the reason to be afraid- very afraid.
BTW: "The View" has arrived in Australia but despite Barbara Walters intelligence I can't watch it because of that gloss-lipped, red satin clad bimbo (who sits to Barbars right). Every time I have switch on that program there she is defending Sarah Palin merely by childishly (and devoid of facts) attacking Barrack Obamas experience (a graduate of Princeton University who spent 3 years as a compassionate community organizer building his staff from 3 up to 80, a graduate of Harvard Law School FIRST IN HIS CLASS, the editor of the prestigious Harvard Law Review, a teacher constitutional law for 12 years, a State Senator for 8 years and a Federal Senator for 4 years while on the foreign relations committee- SOMEONE SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO SHOVE THESE F-A-C-T-S DOWN THAT MALNUTRITIONED WOMANS THROAT!). I swear to gawd she makes me want to have a brain aneurism! And there she was again today and she would have spoiled another glorious West Australian morning, wagging her anorexic finger at the Whoppi. But I waged my own finger (at the off button) although not before she screeched like hoon-driver that Sarah Palin is presidential because she has has run Alaska "a microcosm of the United States". Give be a frikken break- this woman is more stupid than Sarah herself who ran Wasilla into the ground not to mention allowing a raging drug problem to escalate along with the highest rape statistics in the nation while she forced rape victims to pay for their own rape kit (to the tune of 1300 dollars) because the kit included the morning after pill. So does that infuriating little priss of a thing not give one damn about a woman's fundamental right to medical privacy? Or is she just so parochial in her thinking- so limited in her ability to reason, so closed minded that she would defend a criminal and a liar just because- what? She has an AK-47? What is it? What is it that makes women not see this woman for what she is?
Why is it that America, it would seem, is still so willing to embrace- even idolize- crooks and liars?! I'm lost! Somebody out there PLEASE help me to understand! before my brain explodes!
