I think Sibel has some dirt on the Dems and that's why Waxman won't pursue it. Come to think of it, with all the pre and post-9/11 domestic spying, I'm sure Bush has told Pelosi that he's got some dirt on the Dems and that's why Pelosi declared impeachment off the table from the start--maybe at that meeting where he and Cheney wore blue ties.
Dems, if you're dirty, let's air it out so you can redeem yourselves. Admitting wrongdoing is the path to redemption. Otherwise, remember this: we will still smell the stink of your inaction wafting before our noses even when we cannot see the source of it. You harm yourselves and us in the long run if you choose this unethical path.

Your characterization of the Waxman office response was interesting. Not to read too much into it or anything, but it seemed like they just didn't want to say anything. That's more encouraging than a more transparent blow-off. Maybe things are going on behind the scenes, still.

It is all about capacity to believe. We all have the ability to believe so much, but then no more.
A look thru the 911 Omission Report and comments on it will lead anyone to the edge of what they can believe. The MSM can't believe Siebel Edmonds for the same reason Bill Maher can't believe scientists about the "false 911 Commission Report".
The list of professionals who do not believe the preznit blush admin story about 911 is growing, and the very elite of scientists and professionals are on the list.
One example:
Dwain Deets, MS Physics, MS Eng Former Director, Aerospace Projects, NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. Before this appointment, he served as Director, Research Engineering Division at Dryden. Recipient of the NASA Exceptional Service Award and the Presidential Meritorious Rank Award in the Senior Executive Service (1988). Selected presenter of the Wright Brothers Lectureship in Aeronautics, a distinguished speaking engagement sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) (1986). Included in "Who's Who in Science and Engineering" 1993 - 2000. Former Chairman of the Aerospace Control and Guidance Systems Committee of the Society of Automotive Engineers. Former Member, AIAA Committee on Society and Aerospace Technology. 37 year NASA career.
Statement in support of Architects and Engineers petition:
"The many visual images (massive structural members being hurled horizontally, huge pyroclastic clouds, etc.) leave no doubt in my mind explosives were involved [in the destruction of the World Trade Center]."
(One List of Professionals). "I can't believe my eyes" is a common exclamation of someone who has reached the edge of their capacity to believe.
It is a matter of whether or not you can believe that the current regime tells the truth or not about Siebel Edmonds or 911.
If you can believe they told the truth about only one thing, that one thing being 911, then you can't believe Siebel Edmonds and the thousands of experts who do not believe the government's pet 911 conspiracy theory.
The same is true for election conspiracy theories ... if you believe the government is composed of angelic beings who harbor devine truth in their hearts, and have only your good in mind, then you can't believe elections are ever rigged.
Psychology 101 baby, since 1917 in "amurka".

Siebel Edmonds testified before the 911 Commission and wrote them a letter criticizing their cover up of her testimony.
She now says:
Sibel Edmonds: The evidence points to a massive government cover-up. ...
Alex Jones: Sibel, what I'm asking you is, in your gut, do you think 9/11 to some extent is an inside job?
Sibel Edmonds: Well, again, as I am telling you, I'm trying to tell you is, I have all the evidence of cover-up. Now, who were the people behind this? And why? And how? We don't have a definite answer. As I said, we can come up with theories, we can come up with speculation, but they do not --- I mean, in my opinion, they are not facts. But also what government has been giving us, again, I don't consider those a total--you know-- total truth or fact either.
Alex Jones: Would you be surprised?
Sibel Edmonds: No. I wouldn't.
Alex Jones: You wouldn't be surprised if elements or criminal elements or private contractors were involved in 9/11?
Sibel Edmonds: No, I wouldn't be surprised.
Alex Jones: So you wouldn't be surprised like many others, because of the evidence and the cover-up you've seen, if 9/11 was an inside job?
Sibel Edmonds: At this point, I'd have to say no, I wouldn't be surprised.
(Siebel Edmonds RE 911 Commission). Now you know why she is scorned in the MSM. She would take them beyond the edge of their belief system.

Obviously the Olbermann people had to clear the story for broadcast and the answer came back NO. Look, the commentators only have so much say. If the suits say no, it's NO. This is precisely why it's so important not to have all this media consolidation. But sadly it's only going to get worse for after the so-called comment period, the FCC will rule that Murdoch can buy any damn thing he pleases.
As for Waxman, yes, he has hearings, but none of them have accomplished jack. Obviously he got orders from Pelosi not to pursue the Edmonds thing for the same reason they do not want impeachment--they do not want to open the can of worms. Of course if they don't open that can, America is doomed. Even John Conyers falters under the iron fist of Pelosi.
I'm pretty much out of ideas here other than maybe we should all buy gold and get our passports updated. 2008 may be a rough ride. But suddenly Australia is now an option.
