Astute BRAD BLOG readers will recall my last bout with the far-right “conservative” Crane Durham on St. Louis’ 97.1FM Talk on his ironically named “Nothing But Truth” radio show. Durham had invited me for his “Tuesday Night Fights” on the Fox News Radio affiliate station in my old hometown. And though I had thought the conversation would be about Electoral Integrity, it was instead about the war and whether or not Valerie Plame was indeed a covert CIA agent. Last time around we cleaned Crane’s clock — in both our own opinion, and that of all of his far-right listener/callers to boot! Even Durham himself, to his credit, admitted that he’d been bested. “I feel like Foreman after Ali,” he would say after I hung up. Some fun radio here if you missed it the first time.
As I’m now in St. Louis myself for a few more days, Durham’s peeps have invited me back for an in-studio mano-a-mano this time around. And so, I look forward to getting it on once again, this Tuesday night at 10pm PT (Midnight in St. Louis, Wed. 1am Eastern Time). Please feel free to tune-in online to see how things go. Should be fun. Will he best me this time? We’ll see. I’ve been on the road for about a month, and thus, infrequently online in the bargain. So perhaps he’ll have an advantage. He could use it.

Is his show called “Everything But Truth”? Give ’em hell, Brad!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Brad goes on these guys’ shows and makes them look good, makes them seem as if they are listening to “the other side”… when there IS no other side to this issue. It irks the snot out of me that you do this, Brad. Your talents are so much better spent where you are maximizing the good and minimizing the bad, and if even ONE of these bozos’ acolytes is made determined in favor of the nation set out by the founders on this account, it will be a miracle. I swear, this has just GOT to be “a guy thing”. I have thought a lot about it, and I don’t see any other value in it. And I don’t know whether to tell you to break a leg, or knock ’em dead. Whatever.
That guy was a raving lunative last time. It’s good to have Brad go on and humiliate them every once in awhile.
The thing about right wing lunatics is they don’t seem irrational to their own audience. You cannot expect that by presenting careful and logical arguments that you are going to sway these particular listeners.
I think you should demand that he talks about voting machines this time.
97.1 has excellent streaming ads, unfortunately the show doesn’t stream after them. I’ll have to wait for the archives.
Also a little creepy that they want every last detail about me to register.

Same here, I wouldnt want to be associated with their listeners really, you hear these guys call up after the last show Brad did, and man are they dumb, the debate gets framed as a boxing match and the reason Brad won was cause he trapped Crane with minutia and Crane got sucked in… the advice Crane got from his viewers so he could win was to be nasty. Never mind the reason Brad ‘won’ was because he was speaking the Truth and not some talking points strategy for attacking truth from the repub party like Crane was.
I mean to say Joe Wilson was a liar and so his denial that Saddam sought yellowcake was probably a lie too is sooo far fetched (notwithstanding that Wilson never lied and is an heroic patriot). Its the most obvious and shameful attack the messenger tactic anyway (on an upstanding American fighting for honest government), people who listen to the attacks on Joe Wilson and believe them are the biggets dupes existent. I couldnt believe my ears with these callers who were all so giggly to receive favour from Crane and a ‘holler’.
These callers are examples of such people who will bring America down and not even know it, in fact attack the righteous in their blindness. It happened in all the Communist countries like this too. They ring up and blurt out their ignorance like a fart, it’s disgusting.
Then they fight to stay in the dark.

What I love is when Brad busts me for not doing any original research. I only recant what I read from obviously biased sources. I never look at entire original documents. My goodness, you think I could be able to read that much literature when I can more easily regurgitate the psuedo-conservative ramblings found through Blog Search.
You all may not be able to catch another show on KFTK. The Dave Glover Show is a weekday afternoon drive time show in the Wacky Morning Zoo model. It is a pretty good show all things considered as he does not discuss the delusional myths that occupy my political thoughts.
A weekly feature on the Glover show is a segment called “Battle of the Half-Wits” in which I am a permanent contestant along with other KFTK staff. The show is a variation of a trivia contest. Anyone lucky enough to hear my contribution to the Half-Wits section will immediately come to understand that I really don’t actually know much of anything.
They had a segment where the guys will state which celebrities best represent their ideal woman. My candidates included Mary Tyler Moore and Lee Marywhether. I kid you not.
I’m pretty sure he means decant what he reads, or recount what he reads… but I’m just guessing.
Don’t want to sound humorless, but haven’t you guys got better things to do than swap interpretations of the great Gingrichian lesson of — seamlessly, but snidely — maintaining your cool under fire? It isn’t as if our country is at stake or nuthin’.
