I was wondering if you saw the article in Rolling Stone about the election. I'm from Ohio and I asked every person I know who they voted for and Bush was not the answer. I know he stole the election. If you haven't read the article, I suggest you do, it is a real eye opener.

Our Position: In 24th Congressional District, Michaud is the best Democrat.

Democrats hoping for a serious challenge to the two-term incumbent Republican Tom Feeney in the 24th Congressional District are likely to be disappointed.

Clint Curtis, a Titusville computer programmer, is a self-styled whistle-blower who accuses Mr. Feeney of trying to rig electronic voting machines. Mr. Curtis' accusations have been embraced by conspiracy theorists but never backed up by any hard evidence.

Mr. Curtis' primary opponent, Winter Park vetrinarian Andy Michaud, has done little public campaigning. He has laid out a reasonable set of positions on his campaign Web site. More important, his candidacy is not based on a personal vendetta.

I've written the following response to their editorial and though they probably won't print it, at least it will be seen here. I tried to be as professional as possible in hopes it might actually be printed tomorrow:

I noticed some inaccuracies in your editorial endorsement of Andy Michaud regarding his opponent, Clint Curtis. In the editorial it states that Clint Curtis accuses his opponent Tom Feeney of "trying to rig electronic voting machines." In fact, Curtis' claim is simply that Feeney asked for a program to do that. When Curtis testified before Congress, and was asked if Feeney used the program, he replied, "I have no idea". Curtis has never claimed to have knowledge of anything he hasn't seen first hand. Your editorial stated as well that Curtis' accusations had never been backed up by any hard evidence. Though Curtis' claim about the request for vote rigging software is his word against Feeney's, Curtis' other claims of overbilling fraud and espionage are supported by substantial documentation, as well as court records. Finally, your editorial endorsed Michaud because his campaign is not based on a personal vendetta. It does follow that if Curtis indeed has such a vendetta, there must be a reason. Curtis' previous work experience with Feeney gave him the motivation to run against him, and makes him uniquely qualified to challenge him in November.

Something is fishy about this race between Clint Curtis and Tom Feeney. I am a registered Democrat in the 24th House District in Florida. Yesterday I received a political flyer in the mail comparing Curtis to Feeney stances on a number of issues. The way it was presented, with large red print for many of Curtis’ stances compared to small plain print for Feeney, it appeared to be a flyer from Curtis. When I turned the flyer over I was very surprised to find it was paid by “Tom Feeney for Congress”. Then this evening I received a taped call with many of Curtis’ stances on the issues that were in the flyer. It urged me to vote for Curtis in the Democratic Primary. There was no mention of Tom Feeney until the end of the call when it said that the call was paid for by “Tom Feeney for Congress”. What is going on with this??? Especially in light of the past between these two.

I received one of those calls too, in District 24. And then there's the mailer/flyer...
