While I appreciate your coverage of U.S. election matters (you’re irreplaceable!) I have to ask why you haven’t talked about the anti-Hamas protests happening among Gazan civilians and Hamas’s brutal response. You have no problem talking about Gaza when Israel is at the center of controversy, so why should the protests be any different?

The first part of my answer is that most of our focus is on the U.S. That includes foreign issues where the U.S. plays a role.

Secondly, time is VERY much at a premium right now. There is TONS of stuff I'd like to cover (including about elections!) that I haven't been able to.

Third, I also haven't reported on the huge protests in Israel against the Israeli government either.

And, fourth, I didn't know anything about the protests against Hamas by Gazans that you mention! Feel free to share a link if it's something I should see.

That said, still no guarantee I will be able to cover it, due to any of the reasons mentioned above, including whether I can offer anything additional to it, as I usually try to do do on most of the stuff I cover. But I'm happy to hear about stuff I'm unaware of!

So, other than all of those reasons, I assure you, I haven't gone out of my way to NOT cover what you're referring to!

I think AP means he's hoping someone ELSE figures out how to steal him a third, unconstiutional term. Until then, I ain't taking the bait. There are REAL things to cover.
