Kinda sucks that our "privledged feeling" folks don't have to be subjected to the same "humiliating" things the rest of us do.. No plackard? no number?.. kinda makes you wonder when the media puts up pics of "criminals" they have their plackard.. But rich folks (well, rich and connected since stars don't get the same courtesy) get a pass on the "ugly side of their crimes"..
Na, there's not a class seperation in this country that has 2 different attitutdes about how people should be treated.. not at all..

What a pompous ass this Rep. DeLay is.
I hope the voters of Ft. Bend County boot his butt in the primary next year.

What a lunatic sonofabitch!
It's obvious this guy needs to permanently resign from Congress. He actually looks GIDDY for what he did, a total freakish imp. I wonder if he is imagining his last speech line, "Now tell me, isn't this kind of fun?"
Is it fun Delay? Is getting arrested kind of fun, and finding out you were part of a money-laundering operation connected to foreign "lobbyists"....

The conventional wisdom is showing that the neocons' major trouble is not TreasonGate, nor Sen. Frist's questionable financial trades, nor even Rep. DeLay's money laundering scandal.
Word is, it is the Jack Abramoff scandal that threatens the House and White House.
That is the scandal with the longest arms. It will reach Democrats and Republicans alike. It will hit the House and the White House. It is what Karl Rove and Rep. DeLay have the most to fear (according to the reports.)
Perhaps that is why DeLay is smiling. Because he knows that the money laundering is a bad scandal, but not the worst one.
The worst [for him] is yet to come... at the Abramoff trial.

Look at him! Why does he look so defiantly pleased?
He's so twisted. Getting arrested isn't a good thing - EVER. He looks like he on his way to the prom... albeit a nerdy prom.
But again, the really sick ones have absolutely no sense of reality. They are above the laws by which most of us must comply.
A mockery of the American Constitution!
They might wiggle him out of convictions - remember they stop at nothing to have their way.
But, we can just about bank on his day in the sun being over in politics.

Tom DeLay was indicted and booked by law enforcement officials in Texas. Instead of complaining to them, our friend Paul chooses to inform US that the charges against DeLay are bogus.
Earth to Paul: We didn't charge DeLay with a crime; a grand jury in Texas did. We didn't book him; a court in Texas did. We didn't remove him from Republican party leadership; the party's own rules mandated that.
So why are you talking to us about all this? What control do we have over the proceedings?

Why does it never surprise me that fellow CROOKS try to cover up for their crook friends just like the MAFIA?!??
Like Denny "boy" Hastert and the Turkish bribes. And now Ernie Fletcher, indicted in Kentucky. And every other GOP crook or their democrat counterpart.
When someone is guilty, they ALWAYS blame the law and say its unfair.

I can't get why Paul contradicts himself in the same post? What kind of thinking allows for that?
Bogus charges (yet he's been indicted and arrested).. same breath "let's wait and see"... like the charges may or may not sick..
which is it? bogus or not? or are you not sure, yet still scream a falsehood (by your own admission if you are "unsure") ? See why we have issues with you wing-nuts? The "truth" is, he's gonna go to trial over this.. is he guilty? Don't know (I'm thinking yes.. but we've seen holes in laws or "lost witnesses" let guilty people go too).. But, I've (and most here) been saying "let's wait and see what happens" all along.. so, who's more honest? responsible? interested in "truth"?
I just want to see the pictures of him going in to prison in his jumper.. all smiles.. then see him again after a year or two.. when he's been someone's bitch for a while.. Then that shit-eating grin will be complete

"Time will tell" is probably related to the insinuation that the charges are bogus.. as in, "The charges are bogus. Time will tell".. I got confused because it was it's own paragraph.. You know, gramaticaly, it's own idea.. silly me

Excellent question MarkH....
Does the "6 or 7" have an update from the Attorney yet investigating the voter fraud?
I think he was checking through Rove's financial records last I heard....It was Kerr County, who filed the charges.
Karl Rove's case turned over to Bruce E. Curry

William Jefferson and his corrupt democrat friends need to be arrested.
As for Maxine waters, that's a total joke that they're after her. Waters is like a patron saint, she never goes out and does any power-broking. Her daughter runs the campaign fund and that can be investigated, but Waters herself has never done anything wrong.
She has not broken the law like these freebies such as Jefferson, Dolittle, McConnel, Frist, Delay etc.

The "mug" shot reminds me of a couple of comic parallels: An artist in an exhibit I saw just an hour ago shot a photo of a smugly calm man, smiling, arms folded, with a very pronounced and wet urine stain down his pants leg. The photo is titled "Peed in My Pants," I believe. The comedian from SNL, Will Farrell, did a take off like that on a recent show where he sang a cabaret-type song while a large urine trail appears on his pants while he sings. So much like DeLay!

Salivating Hamster--The shots of Delay's pre-incarceration rectal exam should be equally pleasing to you (Delay will probably still be smiling)
Are we a little crazy?
Where do I come from,
where am I going,
how long have I got?
Asking questions
faster than you can answer,
filling yourself with fear,
Are you a little crazy?
I know I am;
and yet, I look around.
There’s always someone who’s got it worse,
looking for a happy ending,
when there is no end
to the imaginings of a mind
separated from God,
Only death,
and that is still the ego’s phantasm.
I surrender my fright,
too tired to continue
the charade
that dances in the dark,
alone,
wishing for rendezvous
with love’s elusive light.

Get up to date. Charges is the latest. Multiple charges, plural.
They are perfectly legal charges. You confuse the indictment process with the trial process. Every charge that goes to the jury trial level is a valid charge. Even when the defendant is found not guilty.
Charging a crime and proving it beyond a reasonable doubt are two different worlds entirely.
These are valid charges which the majority of the grand jury brought, not Mr. Earle. The ignorance pushers have advanced a notion that the judiciary is political, rather than legal in nature. In the attempted politicization of a natural criminal prosecution process, they use the Rovian tactic of character assasination.
But in their blind ignorance they forget that it is the judicial process they are slandering and dragging down. They are damaging American government.
Every judge in America belongs to some political party, and in every case there will be prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges, and juries composed of multiple political parties.
What DeLay and the other neoCon criminals want to do is take that great value from America. It is a great value to be able to do government above the partisan level. As a matter of fact, it must work above that level.
Not only are DeLay neoCons de-valuing the dollar, they are de-valuing the judicial branch (1/3 of American government).
It is wrong to damage America in this way by attempting to drag down the judiciary into the gutter of partisan political criminals.
Remember the stupid Terri Schiavo legislation DeLay master minded, which the judiciary saw for what it was. So did the majority of Americans, and they still do.
We can get rid of DeLay and the rest of the criminal neoCon mutants and be so very much better off for it. And to their credit the sane folk in your party are beginning to do just that.
BTW Paul, that means you need to look for another party to infect.
