Thanks Chris.
Spoken eloquently, and from the heart.
Ah... so many wonderful turns of phrase, but I especially choose "a feckless opposition"-- knowing that you don't mean the opposition of Cindy Sheehan, but that of the the politicians. They are the "Loyal Opposition"... that's a British phrase, means something quite different there... loyal to the country. Our politicians of all stripes seem mostly to be loyal to their slush-fund sources and their own political egos. Feckless, indeed.

I just visited Hoffmania and encountered this post:
Great coverage going on right now - Raw Story/BradBlog are giving an assist to Laura Flanders on Air America. We recommend listening to the BradBlog stream since they're doing extra live coverage during Air America's commercial breaks. Nice job, all.
My response:
BradBlog is NOT "giving an assist" to Laura Flanders' stream! This is Brad Show's stream, and he has offered it to Laura TO SHARE! SHEESH!
He's been down there in 110-degree heat streaming and blogging on his own dime while you guys sit back in air-conditioning and comment from afar! Get involved or lose your following, lazy "pundits-of-the-left!!!"

Please remind us about the scant media coverage of Herb Shugart, father of SFC Randy Shugart. Randy was one of two soldiers posthumously awarded Medals of Honor for heroism in Somalia.
Due to the very spotty media coverage, you have likely forgotten this: Herb Shugart refused to shake President Clinton's hand at the 1993 M.O.H. ceremony and told Clinton he was unfit to be commander-in-chief.
Had President Bush received such criticism, Herb Shugart would have been on news channels like the sad woman who now plays wantonly with the future of our grandchildren.
Strange, isn't it, how the public forgets facts the mainstream media suppresses? Polls mean zip~!

I think the article by Mr. Floyd makes an elegant observation. As I read it, I had an image. Remember how one of Bush's favorite ranch pastimes is clearing brush. He must see it as an exercise in separating the "good" from the "bad" vegetation--clarifying the landscape of choice. Ms. Sheehan may also be in Crawford to clear away the choking undergrowth of lies.

If you remember during the debates, bush stated the war can't be won! Whoaaa! He duped the people and they bought it. Hopefully, more are coming around to the truth. I remember before attacking Iraq (yes, we attacked them for no reason), the UN went in and couldn't find any WMD but he goes in anyway. He called it "shock and awe" like a movie of the week, which it is not! Then he spins so many versions I get dizzy. No, the Iraqi's did not attack us on 9/11. No they don't have WMD. Now, he's "bringing democracy to the Middle East". Do they want it or is that just a ploy to bring Halliburton, oil and other corporations to rape and pillage a poor third world country of their resources??? We need to train the Iraqis, then leave. If they sink, they sink, if they swim, they swim.

The great question was never: Why did Coalition Forces invade Iraq -the U.N.'s chief miscreant, defiler of women, abuser of children, and molester of men?
The real question was: Why Saddam Hussein did not avert a threatened invasion by acceding to lenient demands for Iraq W.M.D. disclosures?
Answers should reflect your highest level of critical thinking and your ability to discourse in a dignified manner with those of opposing views. If emotional distress or immaturity present insurmountable obstacles, whine as usual for the peer group in which you feel most comfortable. Readers are very adept. Hint: Saddam believed Americans were too weak-willed to carryout the threat. Wonder what kind of people are giving terrorists that idea?

Wonder what will happen when the three buses leave Crawford?
I hope it won't be 'Out of sight, out of mind!'
My brother lives in Chicago, I told him to leave town around Sept. 7 because I feared a staged nuclear attack. He said, 'yeah, it might happen, by terrorists, but by our own government? Never!'

Mary, people like Cheney and in the Bushco Administration are mentally ill --- they should never have been put into positions of power. Bush was the red warning flag. He is an ignorant, lazy, lying, spoiled brat. But the Republicans put him in so they could get their tax cuts and everything else --- in return Bush got to be "king" for two terms --- Cheney and his friends get to destroy the world while they are trying to rule it. AMERICANS have made a terrible, terrible mistake --- unless Bushco is stopped, things are going to get worse --- far beyond everyone's worst nightmare.

Peggy - It remains a sad, unalterable fact that Saddam did not detail, as had been required to prevent invasion, the disposition of his WMDs at the conclusion of the first Gulf War. Why did he pretend to still have them? This has been documented by one of your favorite weapons inspectors, you know the guy, he hates Bush as much as you. A fact is a fact, however. When you are old enough to vote, you should start paying attention to more of them.
By the way, the reason Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, and many Democrat leaders hate Bush is not what you may think. He implemented tort reform as Texas Governor. Guess who the largest contributor to the Democrat party is? That is correct -Trial Lawyers. Do you trust lawyers who are also senators?

You are absolutely WRONG Molten --- and you maybe Molten, but you are not an eagle --- just a talking parrot. Yes, Mary --- The majority of the American people will have to stand against the policies of the Bush administration and insist that it resign, be impeached, or otherwise be removed from power as a matter of urgency. The American people have been waiting for leadership and leaders. Cindy has emerged as a truth-speaking leader whose hold on the truth cannot be challenged. The Bush- supporting liars will try, but they cannot succeed in portraying her otherwise. There are other leaders. Brad, for instance, is doing whatever he can to inspire people to act for justice and integrity in America. The American people are looking for leaders with acceptable ideas for changing the Bushco. regime and the status quo. Everyone can be a leader by wanting to know and act on the truth, to avoid evil, and to have and live in a better, just and peaceful world.

(Not for Peggy/Mary/the close-minded) For others:
1. Saddam's regime had been exploiting the Oil-for-Food program (UN now agrees) as a bribe delivery system. He believed that he had bought off enough corrupt Europeans and UN staff to forever stymie U.S. and British efforts to enforce UN resolutions around WMD. He simply didn't believe the Americans and Brits would form a coalition and attack him. Why give up WMD if you think the fix is in within the international community? That is why Saddam failed to account for WMDs. What WMDs you ask?
2. Scott Ritter was asked by John McCain (R, AZ) whether UNSCOM had intelligence suggesting that Iraq had assembled the components for three nuclear weapons and all that it lacked was the fissile material. Ritter replied: "The Special Commission has intelligence information, which suggests that components necessary for three nuclear weapons exists, lacking the fissile material. Yes, sir." As Paul Leventhal, head of the Nuclear Control Institute remarked in response to Ritter's statement,[26] "Iraq could be only days or weeks away from having nuclear weapons if it acquires the needed plutonium or bomb-grade uranium on the black market or by other means." Ritter also said that, absent UNSCOM, Iraq could reconstruct its chemical and biological weapons programs in six months, as well as its missile program. He said that Iraq had a plan for achieving a missile breakout within six months of receiving the signal from Saddam Hussein.
It is unclear what Scott Ritter believes happened to that capability he insinuated Saddam Hussein had in 1998 as compared to that capability he believes Saddam Hussein had after the launch of Operation Iraqi Freedom, considering United Nations weapons inspectors were absent from Iraq from 1998 to 2002.

Personal enough to be categorize in the same mold that ascribes evil mindsets to fellow citizens.
BTW, no further military service is allowed from me until there is a general mobilization. If women like Sheehan get their misguided way, the U.S. will be perceived as so weak by thugs, that mobilization becomes more likely for everyone, including women. Do yourself a favor: Get a clue to the nature of dictators and terrorist thugs inhabiting your planet, and what has kept them at bay this long. If you happen to be a Muslim woman inhabiting a country with women's rights you eschew for religious reasons, your grandchildren will not be able to expect the opportunity you now ignore.

Well, I see Moldy Eagle has played the final card of the bootlicking war crowd: fantasy. The WMD really WERE there, it seems --- even thought the report of Bush's own hand-picked weapons inspectors --- who took the place of the UN inspectors whom Bush kicked out before they had finished their work --- confirmed that Iraq's WMD program had been dismantled in 1991. Yes, despite all his faux-Buckley, "civilized discourse" veneer, Old Moldy is just another gormless goober livin' the dream in DubyaWorld, where seldom is heard a discouraging word. You might note his howler toward the end, where in a convoluted sentence that I admit is "too cunning to be understood," he seems to imply that failure to support Bush's war will lead to the loss of women's rights under Islamic fundamentalist regimes --- precisely the regime that Bush is now helping install in Iraq, with a government led by one-time paid agents of the Ayatollah Khomeini! All in all, Old Moldy gives us the kind of baggy-pants comedy routine not seen since the glory days of vaudeville.

[Copy of the letter I mailed to President Bush]
JUNE 28, 2003
President George W. Bush
Presidential White House
1600 Pennsylvania, NW
Washington, D.C., 20500
TO RESEARCH AND LEARN IS TO KNOW ... TO KNOW IS TO UNDERSTAND,
TO UNDERSTAND IS TO ACCEPT AND TO FINALLY... DO THE RIGHT THING.
Dear Mr. President:
I trust this missive finds you in good health and in good spirits. I would like to use this opportunity to wish you a Happy Fourth of July and a very Happy Birthday.
The subject which I am about to bring forth, holds a great humanitarian importance to me. It is a complex and ill-defined matter which very few regretfully understand well.
Their lack of knowledge or ignorance causes a phobia, engendered by intolerance and unjustified hatred. Please allow me now, to take you down a logical and crucial path of compassion and human respect. I thank you in advance for your time.
Such as yourself and your family members, I am a fervent and true believer in Jesus Christ. Possibly as you have surely done, I have read the bible in its entirety many times over ... but unlike yourself, I have many times challenged its historical accuracy, mistranslation or misinterpretation.
To eradicate such internal turmoil, I have resolved for myself, to always abide to one single rule. This rule goes beyond Jesus’s golden rule that encompasses all:
- Love & forgive your fellow man (neighbor/ennemy), as you would have him love & forgive you.
- Do unto him as you would have him do unto you. Love him as I love you.
My rule even though uncompromising and unequivocal, is elementary. When faced with a dilemma in any given situation, I’ll always ask myself this simple question:
- In this given present situation, what would Jesus say and do?
- What would I say and do, if Jesus was standing next to me?
PROLOGUE:
- Throughout Europe, during the course of seven centuries, hundred of thousands of poor innocent victims, were mercilessly tortured and burned at the stake, simply for having divergent religious opinions or different belief.
These so-called Men of God ..."clergymen"... responsible for this atrocious and ignominious holocaust, were all misquoting the meaning of biblical texts to suit their "own interpretation" as a mean to "justify" and "sanctify" their inhumane actions.
Incessantly the ..."clergymen"... proclaimed themselves to be the only ones having knowledge of the true interpretation of the word of God. They chastised all who defy them. They deemed sacrilegious and reprehensible the dissection of cadavers for medical research, (Leonardo Da Vinci) or the study of the movement of planets and their true position in the solar system (Copernicus-Galileo).
Who amongst us does not recall the false preaching forced upon our forefathers, by ..."clergymen"... proclaiming the earth to be flat, and our universe being three dimensional.
The heavenly kingdom "above," the fiery hell "below" ...(volcanic magma and steaming geysers were sufficient proof for them)... and the earth flatly positioned between the two.
Not to accept this biblical "fact" or to dare challenge it, meant to be burned at the stake and eternal damnation. Sadly today, in modern times, we still carry vestige of this archaic erroneous belief.
God-fearing congregations have always heavily relied on ... "clergymen" ... for spiritual guidance. Regretfully, history evidences that such trust and false preaching have too often resulted in dire consequences. The well documented Salem’s witch trial being a prime example.
Today, we look back at those horrific events and acknowledge without a shred of a doubt, that these ..."clergymen"... were irrefutably wrong.
In later years, European governing entities as well as our own Founding Fathers, established strict guidelines upon ..."clergymen"... imposing a separation of church and state, to prevent such inhuman slaughter of scholars, alleged heretics or witches, because it was the right thing to do.
- Following the "discovery" and conquest of the "New World" in 1492 by Christopher Columbus and the Spaniard conquistadors, the Native Indians numbered well in the 100 millions range, inhabiting all the Caribbean Islands, South America, Central America, etc., were systematically exterminated, in the most cruel and heinous fashion ... resulting in the greatest genocide in human history. Today, only 3% of this entire noble race, remains.
A well intentioned but misguided Spanish ..."clergyman"... by the name of Bartholomew de Las Casas, in his final attempt to save the few remaining surviving, but enslaved Native Indians ... brutally toiling in the gold and silver mines in Mexico and Peru ... had impressed upon Ferdinand and Isabella, the sovereigns of Spain and upon the King of Portugal, to replace this manual aboriginal forced labor, by African slaves. Thus, starting one of the darkest chapters in modern world history.
By his "misinterpretation" of the bible, this ..."clergyman"... had rationalized that it was quite acceptable for fellow human beings to be enslaved. This despicable and shameful trade dealing in human flesh, subsequently spread throughout all the Caribbean Isles, to South and Central America, to finally reach our own southern shores.
Again by the false interpretation of the ..."clergymen"... and by them misquoting the bible, the blackness of a man's skin, was seen to be the "Mark of Cain" placed upon him by God and a punishment to all his descendants.
A slave was dehumanized and was regarded as being no more than a beast of burden and a piece of property. The ..."clergymen"... deemed a black man under the eyes of God, not deserving of a Christian wedding. They refused him the right of a sanctified marriage and instead imposed upon him, a pagan inspired ritual called "The jumping of the broom."
In later years, the opposition against the abolition of slavery was so controversial and so powerful, that it tore our country apart in a bloody civil war. Again, ..."clergymen"... from the south, with sadly few exceptions, bible in hand, preaching their own interpretation of the word of God, rationalized the permissibility of slaves ownership.
Today we look back and we realize the great harm that was done and how wrong they have been.
Abraham Lincoln will be forever regarded in the world history, as having been perhaps, the greatest president this country ever had. After more then 200 years, countless deaths and miseries, slavery was finally abolished because it was the right thing to do.
Mr. President, if a friend comes to you and says, "I’ve enrolled my daughter in school today. She’ll be amongst white and black students." Your reaction might be, "Very well, but what’s the fuss about?"
Who doesn’t recall the epoch of the dreadful cross-bearing, pseudo-Christian hatemongers of the Klu Klux Klan? The flaying, the castrating, the lynching, the burning of countless innocent blacks. You and I can vividly recall also, that as late as in the 1960's, things were still quite different.
During the blacks~whites, segregation~integration, African American of all ages or genders, struggling for full and equal rights, were mercilessly beaten by police officers, hosed down, brutally dragged to jail. These were very difficult times of racial discrimination, riots and civil unrest.
Segregated and equal did not work.
As vehemently opposed as it was, once integration was legalized, it was gradually accepted by all and eventually became part of our routine and normal way of life.
Today, again we can look back and acknowledge openly, that segregation had been wrong from its inception. Integration was enforced, because it was the right thing to do.
MAIN SUBJECT:
- Canada following the lead of numerous "Christian" countries, as you well know, has recently legitimized the same-sex marriages. The newlywed couples receiving finally full and equal rights vis-a-vis all heterosexual couples.
Thousands of homosexuals, lesbians and transsexuals, all decent, patriotic American citizens, will soon travel to our neighboring country, to finally be married and will return. The validity of their union will then be legally challenged here.
They deserve full egality and are duly entitled to no less than the more than 1,500 civil and human rights, that are automatically conveyed to all newlywed heterosexual couples.
I respectfully ask Mr. President that you partake in this legal process, by assisting them in having their marriage and the obtainment of their full and equal rights, recognized.
As vehemently opposed, such acknowledgment will be by certain political entities and religious groups; it will equally and gradually be accepted by all, to eventually become part of our routine and normal way of life.
The discrimination, humiliation,"queer-bashing" and unjustified hate murders and hate crimes will eventually cease, to become something of the past.
Much like yourself, I am an heretosexual male, having not the least physical inclination or attraction toward other men. As hard as you and I may mentally try, through intense concentration and focus, it is absolutely inconceivable for us, to visualize in our minds, the remote possibility of being sexually attracted to other men.
Our mutual brain patterns work in such manners and there is absolutely nothing that you and I can do about it. We were blessed to have been born that way.
Such is regretfully not the case for homosexuals and transsexuals. From early on at a very young age, they feel or realize that they are different from their peers. Throughout the entire course of their lives, they painfully suffer rejection by family members and friends.
They are plagued by a low self-esteem, suicidal tendencies and pronounced sense of non-belonging. Rejected outcasts, constantly living in fear of detection, harassment, physical harm and brutal death. This is a tremendous cross for any human being to bear.
- I have recently viewed on Showtime, the film "Soldier’s Girl," relating the true and tragic love story between Ms. Calpernia Sarah Addams, who was a pre-operative female transsexual and Private First Class, Barry Winchell. This young serviceman having been cowardly and brutally beaten to death with a baseball bat, on July 4th, 1999, for his alleged homosexuality.
That film touched me deeply as it did countless others. Having a very limited knowledge on transsexuality, I researched intensively, the internet in my quest for additional information. I came upon Ms. Calpernia Addams’s web page and forum board.
I have since read in its entirety, all the substantial informative forums and posts. I have seen all the graphic and horrific photos of sex altering surgery, facial reconstruction, forehead minimization, jaw and chin reduction, breast implants, body hair removal, voice retraining, hormone injections, intensive professional psychology sessions, etc.
I found it absolutely unbelievable to discover to what amount in monetary expenses and time and to what extent of misery, of pain and suffering, these courageous individuals are willing to endure and put themselves though, in the process of drastically altering their bodies, in order to reach their extreme and ultimate goal ... to finally have a female body that correctly corresponds to their birth predetermined brain patterns of sexuality.
It is quite evident, that their desperate acts and sexual orientation, are not stirred or even remotely motivated by a "Simple Choice" or "Way of Live" as it has been so arrogantly proclaimed by ..."clergymen." It would be incredibly asinine to hold them responsible for what life has dealt them, as it would be, to blame an heterosexual couple who have repeatedly tried, but who have regretfully been unable, to conceive and perpetuate the human race.
The ... "clegymen" ... argue, that the institution of marriage was instigated primarily for the propagation and the continuance of the human race, which they say, is an impossibility for gay couples. Following this weak reasonning, should we then prevent the marriage of all hetero-couples, who have absolutely no desire to bear children or to adopt and raise a family?
It has become irrefutably clear to myself and to all informed, that since the emergence of the human race thousand of years ago, as evidenced in recorded history, the human body and brain in all their complexities have often times gone haywire.
These numerous malfunctions and abnormalies sadly resulting at birth, in blindness, deafness, cerebral palsy, autism ... gynandromorphism ~ ill-defined sexuality (homosexuals, transsexuals, intersexed hermaphrodites). The modern medical profession well substantiates these findings by listing today, more than 4,500 hereditary and genetically transmissible diseases and brain malfunctions.
IS IT JESUS'S WAY ... OF TESTING MAN'S OBEDIENCE ... TO HIS MESSAGE OF
COMPASSION, TOLERANCE AND LOVE TOWARD HIS FELLOW MAN?
As you well know, Jesus has taught us in his message of love, that ALL are His Father's creation and His Father's children. All without exception, deserving of our "true" Christian love and compassion.
To the anger and dislike of the High Priests ... "clergymen" ... Jesus walked, preached and prayed among the unfortunate ones. He healed the cripples, the blinds, the lepers, the deformed, etc. and loved them all.
But as you know, it was the High Priests ..."clergymen" ... who had cast them aside and had forbidden them access to the temple, because these arrogant "Men of God" had deemed them impure, unfit and unworthy to enter and pray.
Still today some tv preachers, pseudo-evangelists ..."clergymen"... preach in their sermons of hate, to cast all homosexuals and transsexuals aside, as a perversion and abomination from hell. Purposely failing to differentiate or publicly acknowledge, that child molestation, child pornography and incestuous acts upon children, are all in the realm of diseased heterosexual individuals, and have absolutely nothing in common with homosexuality or transsexuality.
I have never before visited a forum board where each afflicted members, willingly and unselfishly, extend a charitable hand to help, advice, encourage and comfort one another. I was utterly impressed by the professionalism and altruism displayed.
I hold and praise Ms. Calpernia Addams, to the highest possible regard and respect, for the devotion she has manifested in having started and monitoring this much needed humanitarian tool, reaching the worldwide transsexual community.
- Some ... "clergymen"... in their sheer ignorance and stubbornness, in their lack of comprehension and compassion, in their inequity and inflexibility, offer as a radical solution, for all homosexuals and transsexuals, to remain celibate for the duration of their natural lives and to be forever denied and deprived of the embrace and comfort of a loving partner.
Every single human being in their quest for happiness, needs and seeks to be accepted ... to love and be loved by someone.
In ALL the aforementioned events, bible toting ..."clergymen"... were fully opposed to affect any changes whatsoever. Today in reviewing history and our own past, we recognize and acknowledge that they were wrong and that the forced changes needed indeed to be made, because it was the right thing to do.
- When Jesus was confronted by the High-Priests ..."clergymen"... in the instance where an adulteress was about to be lapidated to death, the biblical laws passed down to Abraham and Moses, clearly stated to kill her.
Jesus ... "the Greatest Philosopher, Humanitarian and Reformer who ever walked this earth" ... taught us His "New Convenant." He disregarded the old law and instead looked simply into his compassionate heart and told her accusers "Let ye amongst yourselves who is without sin, be the one to cast upon her, the first stone." Jesus in so commanding, knew that it was the right thing to do.
- Mr. President, with are no longer living in the Dark Ages. We have stepped over the modern threshold of the 21st Century. The civilized world has cast its eyes upon you. Upon this great country of ours, as being a true beacon for Freedom, Hope and Respect for Human Rights.
Let them look upon this great country, as being the true pillar of democracy. One as civilized, unified and compassionate, as Canada and the rest of the Christian world.
Let it be part of your legacy and for recorded history, that you played an active role in restoring once and for all, to a large segment of the American population, its respect and self-esteem, by acknowledging their request for full and equal rights.
Civil Unions i.e., segregated and equal ... does not work.
Please do not allow yourself to become the pawn of self-proclaimed "all knowing" and self-anointed ... "clergymen" ... who attempt to force their unrighteous and wicked belief, on trusting and influenceable followers.
Remember well that is was the High Priests ..."clergymen"... who instigated the arrest of Jesus Christ on that dreadful night, and who later instilled unto the crowd, the vitriolic hate to shout, "Crucify Him! Crucify Him!" Remember Jesus's subsequent plea on their behalf ... "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do."
Remember as well Mr. President that "all changes" ... (including the women’s right to vote, interracial marriages, etc.) ... were all vehemently opposed at first, then once legally recognized, were gradually accepted by all, to routinely become an integral part of our every day, regular simple way of life.
I respectfully request that you follow Jesus's teaching ... "For in truth I tell you, whenever you extend an act of kindness and compassion unto the least of my brothers, you do so unto ME." Matthew 25:40. Kindly search your own conscience and look into your compassionate heart and ask yourself, "What would Jesus do?"
As you read this letter Mr. President, know that on this day, somewhere in the USA, a baby boy or a baby girl was born ... from the union of an "heterosexual couple." This innocent child may very well grow up to become, without his or her choice, a transsexual or a gay human being.
It is up to you if this child will grow up to be welcomed and be recognized in our society, with equal rights or will continue to be rejected and cast aside as a second-class citizen, as cruelly exhorted by ..."clergymen."
In rendering a long awaited justice to homosexuals, lesbians and transsexuals, you would be forever hailed as the proximate catalyst which started the unification, the healing, by putting a stop to the prevailing discrimination, homo-odium, homophobia, bigotry, intolerance and hate.
Without this recognition and acceptance, you know that they will remain labeled as second-class citizens by all contemptuous and "intellectually deprived" of our nation, some still bearing a dangerous lynch mop mentality, who will still look upon them, as easy targets and excuses for prejudice and bodily (deadly) harm.
In the years to come, you will be able to look back as Abraham Lincoln once did, and proudly acknowledge that a wrong had been finally rectified and that you did this, because it was the right thing to do.
SUMMATION:
Mr. President, you may at your leisure dissect my letter, analyze it, turn it upside down and inside out, but in the end you will know that I am right, because in writing it I asked myself this simple question: "What would Jesus say and do?"
Respectfully yours,
Librophile (Book-Lover)
True Christian / True Humanitarian
[ MY LETTER WAS DULY SIGNED AND BORE MY NAME & RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS.]
P.S. Contrary to men, Jesus does not judge man by the color of his skin, nor by his gender or orientation, but by what’s in his mind and in his heart.

Great work!
hcocdr & Molting Eagle are liars of the seventh degree. Saddam did agree to all weapon inspections and disclosed ALL reports, before the U.S. invasion and the U.N never got to see them the single point for war!
The invasion was illegal from day one. Here's why Casey Sheehan died:

Not so fast, Chris. The Coalition is not a Democrat front organization. That is, it makes no pretenses of interefering with Iraqi self-determination of their own government as regards womens rights. If the populace, including voting women, want male mullahs to decree stone-age sharia, that is their right to determine.
Molten Eagle was no doubt making his/her prediction for the women of the United States. I know that has not been in the MSM because, even though the possibility is not as remote as the Global Warming fantasy, lawyers are not supporting it. Believe the lawyers (paid to deceive juries and impeach the integrity of their foes), believe Hollywood types (paid to deceive viewers) and believe MSM journalists (well, they have been caught Rather big time, lately, haven't they).
Whatever you do, slam the messenger of open-minded views. Let's not believe things that do not fit preconceived notions like this, however:
But you will not believe
Get your heads out of your MSM biased butts

#43 - You are uninformed. You'll find very few MSM people around here.
So...Scott Ritter's 1998 speculation ("information that suggests") was proven wrong. UN weapons inspectors were finding nothing. Bush's inspectors found nothing - in fact coming to the conclusion that the WMD program had been dismantled years earlier. What to do? Why invade the country, murder many thousands of civilians, destroy cities, send Americans to their deaths, generate riches for your corporate cronies while forwarding a wild-eyed plan for empire.
Sorry, Sharlene, you're running on one cylinder.

Arry - Isn't amazing how blind some people can be to the truth. I guess if you can bleive that a person protecting his home and neighbors from a invading army is terrosit then you can beleive anything.
There are certainly some real terrorists in Iraq now, but the initial insurgancy and the vast majority of participants are people no different than us. I know I'd do exactly the same thing if a foreign army invaded my home town. I bet Sharlene would too!

You know, Arry, you parse like a lawyer:
What about UN finding of Saddams manipulation of food for oil? What about Paul Leventhal's statement?
You talk like a lawyer: "speculation ("information that suggests") was proven wrong (not yet, has it been proven wrong (that is your speculation, Mr. lawyer).
and you are comfortable impeaching the integrity of the US president like a lawyer: "generate riches for your corporate cronies while forwarding a wild-eyed plan for empire"
Then you falsely accuse (murder afterall is willfull, -our forces murdered terrorists dressed like civilians (the crime of warriors atiring as civilians is punishable by death because it can cause innocent civilian deaths). In addition, there has been reliable testimony of captured terrorists that they routinely lie about civilians having been killed, when actually terrorists have been killed.
You wish to believe terrorists? Are you a Democrat ward leader or something higher? I am an independent voter and smart enough to have your number, Mr. Lawyer.
This is for you and the nests of poor souls you mislead:
Marine Poetry
This poem was in a letter from a Marine in Kuwaitdated 9 March 2003. The Marines were hearing about theanti-war protests and they were upset. That's all theletter talked about. This Marine enclosed a poem heand his buddies wrote.
For all the free people that still protest.
You're welcome.
We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
But who will fight for you?
No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers, and sons,
Wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
To make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die,
We might not be able to save the world,
Well, at least we try.
We walked the paths to where we are at
And we want no choice other than that.
So when you rally your group to complain,
Take a look in the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly,
Wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear.
If that's not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
And pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
Be thankful that we chose to go through hell.
You are not limited by the thoughts of others.
Your only limitation is the thoughts you choose to think.

Sharlene thinks I'm a lawyer - wrong. Sharlene thinks I'm a Democrat - wrong. Sharlene thinks I get my information from the MSM - wrong.
I agree with you, Onyx, about the "insurgents", but Fallujah, as a famous and egregious example, was a Guernica.
Most of the estimated 100,000 Iraqi civilians estimated killed in the famous study - more than half women and children - probably hadn't even gotten to the point of rebellion. Like most people, they were trying to survive. Yes, it's murder. It's a war crime. It's Nuremberg trial material.
Impeachment and criminal action is also required for lying to Congress and Americans. Amazing, isn't it, that the more our government knew of the lack of WMD's the more "fixing" of intelligence went on and the more images of "mushroom clouds" were propagated?
These people don't deserve any respect. None.
