PLEASE stop calling Curtis' statement a "sworn affidavit." This is incorrect and misleading. It is a notarized document. He was not under oath, he did not appear before an attorney or judge. He simply typed up a few pages and had it notarized --- you or I could do the same thing.

The important thing to remember here is, this is being investigated fully. For those of you with Nexis, do a search on "Clinton Curtis" and Feeney. There's more to the story that goes back years.

Meanwhile, PLEASE stop misleading the public. It's dangerous to post incorrect information available to so many people. The strength of bloggers is their immediacy; the weakness is often they simply don't have the training to know what they are looking at.

Curtis' statement is just that, a statement. It is NOT a sworn affidavit. There's a big difference.

It is an affidavit sworn under the provisions of 28 USC and executed before a Notary Public: every Citizen has the right to execute affidavits on their on behalf, for their own protection, and neither the presence of a Judge or an attorney-at-law is required to make it an affidavit. Furthermore, Mr. Curtis could have executed this affidavit under the seal of a Justice of the Peace, with the same effect.

Citizens have rights and are not required to bow before either Judges or Attorneys of the Bar to enable these rights or to enjoy them, as they are natural, inherent and sovereign rights.

Inalienable.

The document looks very suspicious. I think it is some kind of fake. The last page uses a different font and has a completely different format. Have a look and you will see how obvious it is.

But for now...The doc was black and white except for the purple ink in the signature on the final page. Apparently the person who scanned it, had the scanner set on an "Automatic" setting and the scanning program apparently kicked into Color mode only when it got to the last page.

I was concerned that folks would get distracted by that, as silly as it is, so I asked to have it rescanned and resent to me for that reason. The person couldn't figure out how to change it, and then had to go, so that's the version I had to go with.

These aren't 40 year old documents, these were signed, notarized, scanned and sent on Monday of this week! And the guy who created them has now gone on air to publicly say so!

It would be lovely if focused investigated the *substance* of the charges, in order to debunk them or confirm them, rather than get caught up on silly technicalities that make no sense anyway.

If Clint Curtis didn't stand behind that document, I'm quite sure he would have said so by now! Especially given that he's facing some pretty heavy jail time if what is sworn to in the document is proven to be untrue!

Mr. Curtis was sworn in under oath at the hearing forum last week, providing his testimony to the House Judiciary members assembled by John Conyers. His affidavit was also submitted as evidence in this investigation into Tom Feeny's involvement with this software hack program request of Yang, Inc.

Elections officials, a Green Party representative, prosecutors and the Logan patrolman who investigates computer crimes were among the observers as the same technician repeated the repair and answered questions. He had to do it twice because only half the group could fit in the room.

Brett Rapp, president of Xenia, Ohio-based elections vendor TRIAD Governmental Systems Inc., explained that the 14-year-old computer's internal battery needed for rebooting was low. The technician swapped the hard drive to a newer machine to read the information needed for reboot before reinstalling it in the original.

"The actual votes are stored on the punch-card ballots," Rapp said. "The machine simply counts the votes. During this whole process, the ballots were locked up."

Messages seeking comment were left Monday with Conyers' Washington office.

Subject: Possible Voting Machine Fraud

Sadly, I follow the disappointing results of recent election recount events in Ohio, where Congressman John Conyers suggests that top elections official, Republican Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell (who was also chairman of that state’s Bush-Cheney campaign), was involved in blocking the recount in possible violation of Ohio law. TRIAD Employees, in direct violation of state and federal laws, have tampered with tabulating and voting machines and/or their hard drives. The Ohio and Florida voting process are a crime against democracy, the right to vote, and the U.S. Constitution. The growing list of possible criminal events coming out of this recount process must be investigated and any guilty parties prosecuted to the full extend of the law.

Now, it's been brought to the attention of all Americans that not only have civil rights, state and federal laws been violated in Ohio and Florida but also possibly a voting and tabulation machine fraud may have been perpetrated upon voters in the 2000 and 2004 Elections. This scam could have neutralized or switched unknown numbers of votes from one candidate to another. Friday while browsing a web site (Bradblog.com) I came across an article posted December 7, 2004 titled "Whistle-blower Affidavit" written by Brad Freidman. This article contained detailed information referring to Florida Congressman Tom Feeney (a former Yang Enterprises Inc. Corporate Attorney/Lobbyist), a programming company in Florida called Yang Enterprises Incorporated; specific US Government contracts and a YEI programmer named Clinton Eugene Curtis. In this article and the attached affidavit Mr. Curtis indicates during October 2000 then YEI Corporate Attorney (Florida Congressman) Feeney ask him to design a computer program that could have manipulated voting and tabulation machines in Florida. In subsequent meetings Congressman Feeney and the owner of YEI, a Mrs. Yang, along with YEI Executive Secretary Mike Cohen, told Curtis "to hide the manipulation in the source code" and "the program was needed to control the vote in South Florida".

It should be noted Mr. Curtis was asked by Congressman John Conyers to appear before members of the Judiciary Committee at the December 13th, 2004 Ohio hearing under oath and give a statement concerning this very same information.

If there is an ounce of truth to the Brad Freidman article and Clinton Eugene Curtis sworn statements then Congressman Feeney, YEI, State of Florida, George & Jeb Bush and our system of government have major problems. Considering the seriousness of Mr. Curtis accusations in the notarized statement, deposition at the Judiciary Hearings in Ohio and possible crimes that may have been committed the US Government should provide protection for Mr. Curtis, Yang and Cohen until it can check out the circumstances surrounding this event. The legal power (power of Congress, power of subpoena, whatever) must be used to compel the States of Florida, Ohio, companies such as Diebold, ESS, TRIAD to divulge to a proper panel of experts all source code and compiled code used in the November 2, 2004 Florida and Ohio voting & tabulating machines and development of all software programs. Congress should demand that the FBI immediately confiscate and quarantine all equipment and software programs used in both the Ohio and Florida Elections in 2004.

The software prototype that Curtis claims to have created could also have been used on optical-scan counting and/or tabulating machines used in Florida in 2000.

Something very, very wrong happened during this 2004 election. The public senses it and the mainline media intentionally avoids it. Congress must thoroughly investigate all claims made otherwise trust in our voting process and system of government will be destroyed.

I quote John Bonifaz; "For the dignity of our nation; and for the dignity of ourselves; and for the memory of those who struggled before us, we must choose to fight." If Congress doesn't prosecute all parties involved in this gross malfeasance and series of possibly illegal events then Americans will find the solution.

The people of this great country must unite. They must write their Congressman, all members of the Judiciary Committee and both the Florida and Ohio State Attorney Generals Offices. Americans must flood AP, UPI, Reuters, ABC, CBS, USA Today and other major newspapers with emails and letters demanding coverage of these major events. While our sons and daughters fight and die for Democracy in Iraq the least we can do is defend their constitutional rights at home.

Americans must meet on the steps of the courthouses of this great country to protest against the individuals and/or politicians threatening to take our basic rights, provided for under the Constitution, away from all Americans.

My opinion (for what it's worth which is about "0").

There's many Democrats that just plain want the Clint Curtis story to be true and will believe anything negative that comes their way. However, there are those of us who feel it .... who sense it ... who just plain know the wrong candidate was elected.

Then, there's rare individuals like Brad Friedman who feel so strongly... they will make time to write a blog that literally consumes his life .... just to support democracy ... to support "America". To expose election frauds the mainline media has avoided and support these statements with evidence. The likes of which I have never, I repeat never saw in any ... I just hope the world can recover from all the damage in time to salvage the prospects for a decent future. And I hope the world will forgive us for allowing this horrid little freak to take over our country.
