Warning. The following rant is not directed at Brad.
Hey If all the Superdelegates side with Hillary she could win "according to the party rules" but there would be huge cries of foul from the left blogsphere etc. etc. etc. It would be undemocratic, racist and I would be unhappy about it.
Not including Florida etc is OK though because its a party rule. The disenfranchisement of those voters doesn’t seem undemocratic to the left blogsphere who hate Hillary with a vengeance. Why not call your selves “Fox left” guys of the left. That’s the sort of thing they do. I don’t think I’d vote for Hillary but there’s no denying total lack of concern for a democratic outcome for her re Florida etc.
I really hope Obama can win a general election but think he is the one Fox wants to win the democratic primary. I just hope the radical left haven’t shot themselves in the foot. I don’t much like Hillary but she must be better than the alternative McCain.
I would like to see Obama as president but don’t know if he’ll be able to get the numbers for the general election and cannot help notice all the undemocratic crap been levelled at Hillary. She’s awful but those who can’t remain objective still get me mad.
My belief is that she is hanging on cause she knows Obama may not get the numbers to beat McCain in the Presidential Election where the proportion of white voters (who favour Hillary by a large margin) is much higher. She knows a democrat must win the Whitehouse or your all toast. But still she is maligned on just about everything by the left blogshere.
OK you can all have a go now. I may visit Siberia for a few weeks where there is hopefully no Internet

Don't worry Sally, the right wingnuts are going to lose this election for themselves.
I predict by the fall they'll be calling Obama a n****er right out in the open and the people will finally see what a hateful bunch they are.
Flush Rimbowl is already warming up his "silly negro" shtick from an earlier time I'm sure and Don Anus will be looking for another job again soon.
The outrage of their rhetoric is gone for me now, replaced by how pathetic these crackers really are.
Trolls and Carville included.
Very funny Alan

The main thing to me is to get rid of the repugs so you have a bit more time to really make some changes to your system. Some of the things Hillary has been called right out loud by men and women of the left (and right) are just as bad as the N word except people are OK with a woman being treated this way. For me sexism is just as bad as racism even when you don't really like the person theres no excuse. Are you concerned that Floridas votes will not be counted and there will not be a revote. Does the democratic process matter when it comes to a womans right to a fair go. I don't hear people saying it so I imagine they don't care. The numbers might look different if people had looked at this race and how it has affected Clintons chances. So much for the left wanting fair elections is about all I can say.

No Sally I don't care if my vote counted at all this time.
We knew this a year and a half ago that if the Florida legislature moved up the primary that our vote wouldn't count.
It was another dirty trick pulled by the Republicans by attaching this to the get rid of the DRE voting machine bill, which left the Dems with no choice but to vote for it.
The ones who know this aren't complaining.
The only one I really blame is Karen Thurman d-Fl for not filing a lawsuit to begin with, but that's to be expected for someone who works for the Republicans on her slack time.
I see her flipping parties for political expedience eventually.

I truely think if Florida had gone to Barak Obama and he wwere in Hillaries position there would have been very loud noise about this all over the web . It would be an issue and it would have been addressed. Sorry your idea of votes been counted lies with the candidate you prefer. Thats the way it appears to me. I really think we are all tempted to be partizan and will turn a blind eye if we are getting what we want.
I have to watch my self and I do see it sometimes. Democracy is hard but worthwile and we must care about everyones vote and not be selective about it.
Anyway thats more than enough from me for now. Despite differences I respect very much what you are all are doing and hope the best person wins. Obama does seem to be that person.

Sally, it never really mattered to me which candidate won the primary, I'm just a buck the status quo type of guy.
That was the reason I started supporting Obama in the first place.
The rest are better bullshitters because they have been 'in it' for so long and I like to see them eat it for a change, so to speak.
I also think that they have a good team behind him that isn't going to take any shit from the rebumlicans this time while leaving Obama out of the fray.

There is nothing undemocratic about Florida and Michigan delegates not being counted. It is not an arbitrary decision. Those states' democratic parties broke the established rules, and Hillary played cheap when she did not withdraw her name from the ballot as Obama did. I truly wish that something could have been agreed upon where the states could have a revote that would be considered legitimate by everyone. But as it stands, Hillary's "wins" in those states are not legitimate. Not by a long shot. For her to demand those delegates be added to her total is a complete farce, and she comes across as simply self-serving - the argument about "the will of the voters" is bunk, because the voters did not have a real choice in FL or MI...period. If it were Obama who was in Hillary's shoes right now, I'd be saying the same thing, it has nothing to do with my preference for Obama as a candidate.
What about this scenario os so goddamn hard for people to understand? Beats me.

IMO the Florida delegates shouldn't be seated at all at the convention, they are being so arrogant about this when they never said a goddamned thing when this all first went down.
I think that they (Thurman) let it happen to keep Obama from campaigning here, most were Clinton supporters

I read just recently that Obama's name was indeed on the Ballot and that he actually ran adds in Florida. He was accused of out and out lying. If thats true it concerns me.
Sorry Brad but if this were Obama on the recieving end of this it would not be a fun issue.
Im done expecting fairness of any type. This just seems to be the crowd baying for Hillaries blood and I've seen that type of thing far too often. I'm almost beyond caring re the whole issue. Call me square. Put any label on me you all like. Unfair treatment is obvious to me here and is not entertaining.

Was Obama on the ballot? Did he run ads? I had not read that.
It doesn't even matter. FL and MI did not follow the rules. Tough shit. This is not an Obama vs. Hillary issue, its a FL and MI fucked up issue.
My only issue with Hillary over FL and MI is that she should not be making these two states the cornerstone of her decision to stay in the race. And she is.
I have plenty of other issues with her though, and how she has run her campaign. She jumps on the Rev Wright bandwagon. She says that she and McCain are qualified to be pres but Obama is not. She calls Obama and his supporters elitists (whatever that means) when she is the one born to riches. And now she race-baits with the polling numbers. WTF is about all I can say.
The only reason she would get my vote in Nov, if that's the way it goes, is the Supreme Court. Beyond that, I'd vote for Nader, because if she gets the nomination something has gone very wrong within the Democratic party. And I didn't feel that way about her in February when my state (NM) had their caucu, in fact I thought she did a better job of stumping than Obama and I saw both of them within 2 days of each other, taped them both, and went back home and rewatched both. She's just run a dogshit nasty campaign and it is hurting the Democrats.

Everyone had their name on the ballot in Florida.
THE BIG LIE about Obama is that he ran campaign ads here alone.
All of the candidates ran ads here on National Network Television Only
Hillary came down here after the primary and had a celebration dinner With the Florida Delegates and Karen Thurman
Obama did no such thing.
Who is bullshitting who here?

Sally -
For the record, I have no dog in the hunt. I can't imagine voting for either Obama or Hillary (or McCain for that matter) next November.
You are correct in that Obama's name was on the FL ballot, but not on the MI ballot. Soul Rebel is correct that each state's Dem party knew they were violating the national party rules when they held primaries when they did, but apparently, they didn't care and did it anyway.
There's nothing unfair here, in that you --- or anybody else who supports Hillary, or doesn't --- is more than welcome to say your piece here. In fact, it's most welcome...
(P.S. I've been accused of being a Hillary supporter in many previous articles I've run, where folks felt I was unfair to Obama or his supporters. That's life. But I think our record of openness here speaks for itself, even as I mentioned the video in the original post above was completely unfair and inappropriate, but quite amusing nonetheless.)

I am not a doctor, not a lawyer, not a pilot, not an MSM reporter, not an indian, and not a chief. Now that the irrelevant is out of the way ...
Like I have said for months, 2008 is an election of ideology, not of candidate merits ... typical of a rejection election.
To win a candidate needs to get out of the way of the anger of the voting public.
McFeign has failed. He can't seem to put two honest words together, and either can't remember the McCaCa moment that cost a much better recent and now past Virgina Senator his presnidential bid.
So McFeign perpetuates the McCaca moment as an election strategy? Dork-o-rama! In a fair election in November McFeign looses by 10 points (55-45) with this "strategy".
And as to openness, his wife power grab partner says no way in hell she will release her tax returns to the lowly voters.
So, more fascists on the Supreme Court who will turn the constitution into shit paper, 100 years of war, no info for the public, and more and more lies.
WTF???

I must say it is classic sarcasm, classic work for those dudes who thought of it ... even if they had cast me as Hitler ... congrats!!!
Anyway, we here at bradblog are not too intelligent, too good, nor too anything for that matter to go anywhere ... once we have been soaked in power, because Jen, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.
You know what that means Jen? That this wonderful, kind, peaceful, loving, and caring person DREDD can become your worst nightmare ... given enough power over enough time ... (without the antidote ... bank on it).
I say that to honor our forefathers and foremothers ... genious people, good folk, who had been to hell and back.
I fully honor all of them. I have tested their hypothesis and theories and found them to be sound and solid.
Nice people in government will become like the Hitler figure at the end of the game. Hitler was just a freak headed for the guttes without the support of the nice people of germany.
George Bush, Dick Cheney, John McCain, and all neoTurds are NOTHING without the nice people of Amurka who support them and allow them to wallow in the mire for too long.
Until once again they have killed and maimed hundreds of thousands and bankrupted and hurt multitudes.
Fuck those kos, bradblog, huffpo, congressional, senatorial, and other nice Amurkan folk.

(okay, so i just checked youtube, and she was leading by 20,000 votes at 92% reporting, which means before lake county)

I am in the camp who says that has to be one of the stupidest videos ever produced.
The freepers {e.g. folks like Karl Rove, Netvocates, Advantage Consultants, the Bivings Group, Lincoln Group, Rendon, on and on} have manufactured this fake fight between Hillary and Obama, and folks are acting like it's been a spontaneous, political development.
DailyKos, Democratic Underground, and Huffington Post are fascist, shallow outlets. It can be shown that they are playing with the general population's head. To be honest, I am shocked that people concerned with the election integrity movement haven't been more vocal about what has taken place over the years at DU and DKos. I'm just saying, if we pile on Hillary too much, then the shallow people will continue to think this is a bitterly divided country. It isn't. We Americans do the right thing when we are aware.
We're being played. Turning Hillary into Hitler or Obama into a terrorist feeds the astroturf.
The few who figure this out either get shouted down or outright banned. Not here of course, but at those big fake places. And for anyone who thinks I am spinning some kind of conspiracy yarn, I'm not. Finally took time to watch the video.
It is hilarious. I had a good laugh. Thank you, Thank you. Sarcastic, dark humor is just what I needed.
OK, the rest is blah, blah, blah. Read at your own risk.
It takes a person like Hillary to run for Prez. The rest of us sit at home and bitch and moan. We don't make six or ten speeches a day, beg for money, and try to keep straight all the promises we made. And were we in her position, we would make promises. I promise that. I have done the math, and she can't win. Why won't she leave, 'Because the voters stole her nomination,' sort of, she has put her whole self into this run and it's so close but so far away.
I do have a dog in this race, two actually, both Obama and Hillary. I will vote for the Dem. period. At this point in time, I cannot vote Repub because they have caused all sorts of problems and chaos, they have become the party of demi-perverts and major hypocrites.
There is something desperately wrong in both parties, but when the only third party candidate is Nader (now there is a screaming hypocrite), and not really a 2008 repub, Ron Paul can't get anyone, in or out of the mainstream media to publish an article about him expect Prison Planet (which is a bad mark actually), so he's dead in the water. But who knows what will happen.
This time forty years ago RFK was still alive, he has about three weeks to live, and nobody believed that Humphrey would be nominated. By August, George Wallace, who could have been the spoiler for Nixon, was in the hospital with a severed spine from a failed assassination. Nixon was in McCain's position, and won on the first ballot with 692 votes; Nelson Rockefeller had 277 votes (today played by Romney), Ronald Reagan had 182 votes (not unlike Huckabee) and there were other scattered votes. George Romney had been drummed out of running long before because he was LDS.
I have not keep up with the Kill Hillary, McCain, Obama websites, but they are out there. I despise what they say and what they stand for, but I let them have their say as long as they do not incite someone to do that.

Hey, nothing personal to anyone who likes the video. Some people love olives, I can't stand them. I guess I am burnt out from the controlled venting. The last time I laughed at this sort of thing was when Will Ferrell used to impersonate the Shrub.
I just have a sinking feeling that Hillary versus Obama is just the political version of Brittney Spears coverage. Or it is like in sports playoffs, where one team hopes their rivals have a tough series perhaps making it easier to beat them later. So maybe the Repubs don't worry whether it is Obama or Hillary, but think it is in their interest for it to drag out. Plus, perhaps this ties in with some psy-op to explain things if McCain wins due to election fraud.
Yeehaw, fell asleep at 7 pm last night, now I am up at the crack of dawn.
May peace, love, and light shine on everyone.

A Hitler reference? HITLER? If Obama's supporters think they can win a general election without the votes of those who backed Clinton, then they don't know politics. If they think Hitler comparisons are the way to attract those Clinton voters to the Obama camp, then they don't know human nature.
Obama's supporters should remember episodes like this when Clinton backers like me, who are willing to back Obama if he's the nominee, decide instead to sit on our hands, write in Clinton, or vote for McCain.

Which idiot is worse Clinton or McCain. I've read Obama is not winning swing states but Hillary is. He's winning red states that he won't get in November. The MSM and e-voting will most likely destroy either candidate. My objection to your posting the fun video is that had you posted something like this about Obmam their would be an uproar re racism but is OK to do this to a woman . Says it all about liberal who don't like hate. They don't mind it if the hate is directed at females. Yes I know 99 hates feminists as I read on her blog. There's too much hate in the world and I thought liberal activits were against it. Looks like I'm wrong.
Also looks like both Hillary and Obama don't want to really fix Florida/Michigen nor do they care about the people's right to representation. I guess if people really want democracy they will get it but if you say one group doesn't matter then you actually don't want democracy so you likely won't get it.

How you all deal with so much crap every day is beyond me. Another pitifull donation will be in the post soon. The MSM did a great job in pitting Obama and Clinton against each other aye. Lets not let them suceed in tearing the left and democracy apart. Everyones rights including womens depend on it.
