That Cheney note was discounted outright by the media and we know what that means. It's most likely a smoking gun. It's amazing to see all these pundits, (learned persons), heads bobbing wildly to make the point that the only significant thing about the Libby trial was that Libby lied under oath, but should be pardoned.
Gag me once, shame on you.
This Waxman guy is a troublemaker guy with integrity. If we could just get more like him on our, (Americans), side. I need a hero, big time, and I can't be the only one!

Hmmm.
We can expect some major "news" on the non-news front immediately before the hearings start. There will need to be some major "distraction" to give the right-wing-media-spin-machine-corporate-mass-media a reason to not give the hearings the airtime they deserve.
Perhaps the results of the Smith autopsy will be released, or someone will be arrested for Jon Bonet's murder, or some major rumor about somebody from American Idol will be revealed (courtesy of illegal wiretap info). Somebody very important (maybe Libby) suffers a micro-wave induced "heart attack" or something. Look for Rove fingerprints all over whatever it is.

Back to BB after a few months hiatus and all hell breaks loose...where did my beloved, comfortable, familiar Yellow on Green go?

There is some reason to be concerned that C-Span will even cover this astounding hearing. I used to be a C-Span junkie, but lately all I run into are forums commenced by The Crappy Heritage Foundation or the Phony American Enterprise Institute.
Somebody did a comprehensive compilation of guests that were booked by C-Span and it turns out to be extremely skewed in favor of the FAR right. A matter of percentages to create the impression of balance, as usual. It seems that even C-Span is "balancing" truth and fiction, with a bias toward fiction.
If anybody can refute my cynical observation, I'd be comforted.

It will be extremely interesting to see if Fitzgerald is interested in attending this hearing or if he has to be prodded. He shouldn't be able to invoke the "ongoing investigation" argument, since he says he doesn't intend to pursue the case any further.
insert evil, unlawyerly, perhaps bawdy laugh here

Isn't it amazing that the subject matter and discussion of this blog eventually becomes front page news!
I mean it is deja vu ... we have been talking about this stuff ... and we were spot on ... for years.
One of the tests of science is to be able to predict matters. We must be political scientists because our predictions, our discussions, speculation, and conclusions eventually make it to front page.
Good job everyone.

The bigger scandal is the federal prosecutors NOT fired by Bushco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"Donald Shields and John Cragan, two professors of communication, have compiled a database of investigations and/or indictments of candidates and elected officials by U.S. attorneys since the Bush administration came to power. Of the 375 cases they identified, 10 involved independents, 67 involved Republicans and 298 involved Democrats. The main source of this partisan tilt was a huge disparity in investigations of local politicians, in which Democrats were seven times as likely as Republicans to face Justice Department scrutiny." (that's 67 Republicans, and 298 Democrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The big story of the big story is that even tho the dems have been persecuted, zero congressional or admin democrats have been charged, but many republicans have.
Even Jefferson, who they say did bad things and they say they have hard cash-in-the-freezer proof, has not been charged.
Sounds like their "hard evidence" is phoney so far.
The corruption of this dictatorial white house knows no bounds.

The bigger they are, the harder they fall... They can only lie and claim national security secrets to cover this shit up for so long. CSPAN has been very interesting lately. It's about damn time they have hearings on virtually everything that has been touched by the massive Republican abuse of power and criminal activity. I hope the righties think about how much bullshit they believed and defended from these bastards.

Regarding the yellow/green of yore, you can still get it by selecting it in the "Select Color Scheme" box up there on the right margin. THAT's Democracy! I read somewhere that yellow on green was better on the eyes.

Do not underestimate the treachery of the Bush Crime Family with Cheney as godfather. The BCFOL makes the Mafia look like Our Gang. Cheney has surrounded himself with cronies who are willing to do his bidding.
