Bob Schieffer’s commentary this morning on CBS’ Face the Nation is highly critical of Fox, Judith Regan and Rupert Murdoch for publishing OJ’s new “if I did it” book and for giving the former football star two hours of prime time television to promote the fictional confession. Throw in the millions of dollars being funneled to OJ and one hardly remembers the similarly disgusting congressional page scandal.
Schieffer: “Someone, I think it was William F. Buckley, once said, something doesn’t have to be against the law to be wrong. This one is more than wrong. It is just awful.”

FAUX news/Broadcasting is totally AMORAL. Nothing else needs to be said.
I am proud to say that I know almost nothing about the O.J. trial. Every time I heard the O.J. music on television, the channel was immediately changed in disgust. I couldn’t figure it out then, and I can’t figure it out now.
I guess it’s not the fact that OJ got away with 2 murders and is making millions that moved Schieffer to comment otherwise he would comment on Bush & Cheney killing hundreds of thousands and making billions of dollars while they’re at it.
Mr Shieffer, get some perspective, will ya?? How ’bout speaking out about the Faux Administration in the White House while you’re on a roll!!
Y’know – I’m thinking this OJ thing is a manufactured story. It’s a strawman.
FOX backed the republicans like mad in the last election, and basically got their own butts handed to them for it – their credibility has suffered a major blow because of that. Anti-FOX sentiment is on the rise in their key demographic, and their ratings are falling.
So, how can they pump the reputations of their people up again? How can they drag their “base” back to the video screen? Easy – Manufacture an outrage so completely outrageous that can be easily attacked, and send in the attack dogs, with orders to kick up a storm. Add a little bit of race baiting to the mix and viola – Bill O’Riley has something new to scream about, and the butts are back in front of tv screens across the country.
Think about this – FOX news controlls their reporters like robots on an assembly line. The Talking Points memos are by now, famous. If these “personalities” are now yelling about something their parent company is doing, it’s with the full knowledge, and approval of that parent company.
This is a scam.
So I must assume oj simpson must be a republican / gop . . .
“O.J. Simpson Book, TV Special Canceled”

This seems to be a pathetic, last ditch attempt to lure people back into fake news amid the threat of the Democrats bringing “reality based” news back into vogue.
The Daily Show and Colbert Report have exposed the scheme of fake news channels and years-long stories like:
Susan Smith
O.J. Simpson
Elizabeth Smart
Scott Peterson
Monica Lewinsky
Jon Bonet Ramsey
Pull up a chair and get ready for REPUBLICAN CORRUPTION GATE!
Well, at least on the internet.
