So then. Seems that if you are in public office you have to be available to answer any and all questions the public may have, should they arise. (Unless of course you hire a bunch of parents to bring their children to a press conference about Foley - that kinda shuts down the system, eh? but that's another story). But then, once on the outside, it's all attorney-client priveledge. She's on the outside now. Frontline could be interesting this coming Tuesday on PBS.

I don't know who else saw it, but some guy who works on Frontline was interviewed by Steven Colbert a couple of weeks ago and was talking about next weeks show called "The Enemy Within".

The basic flow of the conversation was that all of the warnings the Bush administration has come up with have turned out to be false alarms and wild goose chases.

He ended by asking Colbert if he knew why he had a bigger audience then PBS and Colbert asked "Because we're good?". He said yes. (At least that's the way I remember it.)

With Bill Moyers having a new series and him saying that, I just wonder if PBS is on their way back towards serving the public again?

If so, it could be an intriguing show.

I guess the administration is going to say that since Susan Ralston has now quit, all ties with Abramoff have been discovered. Karl had no idea Abramoff was ever in the building.

The ONLY thing that would justify the cancellation of elections and the
declaration of Martial Law would be a "Nuclear Crisis." The only thing
that will prevent Bush's entire cabinet from going to prison is the cancellation of elections.

A FALSE FLAG attack on a US Naval vessel would be declared the equivalent
of an attack on US soil. This would "justify" Israel attacking Iran
with Sub-launched nukes. Keep in mind, both the sinking of the US vessel and
the purported retaliatory strike could all come from one Israeli sub. As
described above, it's tough to sink an aircraft carrier. Apparently the only

The UK Terror plot: what's really going on?

I have been reading very carefully through all the Sunday newspapers to try and analyse the truth from all the scores of pages claiming to detail the so-called bomb plot. Unlike the great herd of so-called security experts doing the media analysis, I have the advantage of having had the very highest security clearances myself, having done a huge amount of professional intelligence analysis, and having been inside the spin machine.

So this, I believe, is the true story.

None of the alleged terrorists had made a bomb. None had bought a plane ticket. Many did not even have passports, which given the efficiency of the UK Passport Agency would mean they couldn't be a plane bomber for quite some time.

In the absence of bombs and airline tickets, and in many cases passports, it could be pretty difficult to convince a jury beyond reasonable doubt that individuals intended to go through with suicide bombings, whatever rash stuff they may have bragged in internet chat rooms.

What is more, many of those arrested had been under surveillance for over a year - like thousands of other British Muslims. And not just Muslims. Like me. Nothing from that surveillance had indicated the need for early arrests.

In all of this, the one thing of which I am certain is that the timing is deeply political. This is more propaganda than plot.

Judge denies motion to toss pro-Israel spy case

Another guy I can't remember said he was stunned at the vote because he had just talked to about 5 republicans that were almost certain to vote against the measure.
