Brad,
Thanks for continuing to highlight the phony credentials of the ACVR.
Your early expose was a great piece of investigative work and I'm glad Fitrakis is following it up.

Fitrakis has really hit the nail on the head with the shady backroom extortion going on here.....
SEC is still investigating Frist's stock, I bet someone in SEC and the DOJ would like to see who is connected to who??
IMOCA@sec.gov
webmaster@usdoj.gov
What happened with that stock investigation anyhow? Its been weeks since there was updates......Frist shouldn't dare try to bury a criminal case we all know about, HCA & other insider trading.

I figured when the Diebold hack stuff started to show
its beautiful head into the light, ACVR would have
been out spinning like a Mo foco, evidently they must
have had already known the story would not get any
MSM coverage
I think that we don't give these evil bastards enough
credit, they are well organized from the top down.
Most of the legislature doesn't spend any time
drafting legislation, so what do I think their doing?
I'm sure, not playing tiddely winks
Them cork soakers are busy dreaming up ways to
stay in power and line their pockets at the same time,
thats why we have this mess today with voting

OT, but Tom Tomorrow has a great summary of the past year. Kind of puts it all in perspective (if thats possible). Things are coming to a head and something will happen this year!

The Republicans are all about vote suppression and stealing elections, because they think the privileged are ordained to run this country, and we shouldn't have the people vote. They "know better". They know what's best. Don't question Bush's wiretapping, because Bush knows best. I actually saw where a conservative in the media said, "You shouldn't question your father, when he's doing what's best for his kids." Unbelievable. So we should put blind trust in Bush, and let him break the law, because he and the Republicans' know what's best, and fuck the laws of this country.
I have been predicting on this blog, that they will finally link ACVR, Abramoff, and DIEBOLD (electronic voting machines in general), and the GOP. It's a 100% certainty, it will happen.

Is anyone outraged like me, that our government is going to prosecute the whistleblowers in the wiretapping breaking of American law, and not the wiretappers????????????????
What has become of this country? Why isn't the Justice department going after the lawbreakers, and not the whistleblowers? And we're supposedly bringing democracy to Iraq??? What a lie and a waste!!!!!!

Brad, the Justice department going after the whistleblowers (see Sibel Edmonds) instead of the wiretappers, should be a flashing red-light Brad Blog story!!!

Sorry all, but I can't let it go by again! You-know-who saying "we're on the offense in Iraq". Every time I hear that it makes me madder and madder! We are on the offense in someone else's country!! Go figure!

If they put a new Superman movie out with the neo-cons in power, it would now be:
Neo truth
No justice
And the Republican way
(the screen would show people with suits on and beggers all around them, the people in the suits would be walking on dead homeless people to stay out of the mud...)

For Big Dan: I think we can afford to smile at the Justice Department for investigating the leak of the illegal spying. In the long run I doubt it will help Bush at all, and could hurt him, big time.
It's 99.9% certain that nobody close to a terrorist organization did it. The last thing they'd want to do is give themselves away. Terrorists operate under cover, and the New York Times would report any such individual to the government.
If the investigation turns up nothing, conservatives will be angry. "How could this traitor, whoever it is, get away with endangering national security?" Their anger will have to be directed at the investigators for failing to arrest anyone. That's bad for Bush.
If it turns out that some liberal media person (for fun, let's say Gore Vidal) is the villain (sic), the question will follow, "How did he learn about it in the first place?" It will open Pandora's box. "Who else knew this, and how?" If it's a government insider who wanted to embarrass Bush (Joe Wilson?), that will cause conservatives to yell, "We told you he was a traitor!" but it will also bring the whole panoply of lies and deceit to the surface in the media... about 9/11, uranium/Niger, cooked intelligence, Downing Street minutes, Chalabi's lies and Judy Miller, no-bid Halliburton contracts, etc.
I say, sit back and enjoy the melee, if one comes. I doubt it will. Karl Rove knows it's better to keep the worms inside the can. I expect the Justice Dept. to pretend it's looking, but to find nothing.

LOL!! Brad, that RANT got me! Beautiful man! Broke as I am - I'm goin' over and slide in one last donation before year's end! Thank you thank you killer guy that you are! I so wish it could be more and I hope everyone - even those who just can't afford it - can squeek out a few bucks for ya! I really don't think we could have survived this past year without you. Seriously. I hope you can stick with it and I will try my best to toss a few bucks in the kitty when I can. Thanks Brad.
