As usual, Shannyn Moore is out in front of everybody on this one (did some friction develop between these 2 blogs over the reporting on her sudden abandonment of her duties over 4th of July weekend?)

This is a MUST READ analysis (by an attorney) of a breaking scandal - the misuse of a trust.

It seems likely that palin has violated the spirit and letter of the trust laws - essentially perpetrating a fraud to raise money using the advantages of trust status without providing any accountability for where the money goes.

This would be a HUGE scandal if the mainstream media would follow up on it - intentionally deceiving people to raise money through a trust fund and then using that cash for other perposes.

So, does the Republican noise machine talk ino her ear the whole time she is making her speeches?

Personally, would rather she genuflected, raising her left thigh and buttocks, and tooted a parade of flatulence greater than any thunderstorm the world has ever experienced while spraying the crowd with a fine mist of hershey-squirts goodness.

I would find that much more tolerable than here speeches.

AJ - We covered the defend fund business (albeit, a slightly different angle thereof) the day after the "probable cause" finding came out. Thanks, in any case, for linking to Shannyn's coverage of it. We hadn't gone into detail (AKM and Celtic Blue Diva and the others up there, also had excellent coverage) on that item because, really, no kidding, not interested in piling on and, for the moment, it's best left to the "locals" to unpack the specific nonsense of Palin/Van Flein's silly rebuttal.

Though I did touch on it a bit with AK Muckraker when she was my guest on the Malloy Show last Thursday (which also kept me from getting into too many written details here on the blog).
