They were abruptly removed from the air last week, and replaced with yet another Christian radio station.
This week, Air America Phoenix is fighting back to rise from the ashes, perhaps as soon as April if you can help with money and/or noise.

If taking money from needy children causes failure, the Republican Party would be defunct. IF the FORMER Air America employee did what is alleged, he stole about 1/9000 of what was stolen in one swipe by Republicans in Iraq, in cash, from shrink-wrapped palettes designed for easy pilfering.
Put another way, that FORMER Air America employee could steal the UPPER limit of what is alleged EVERY DAY FOR 25 YEARS, and he would still just equal the Republican take in one systematic looting. And, Republicans steal from everyone, every day.
Now, I realize you’re a right-winger, and basing what you say ON something is anathema to you, but on what do you base your statement that Air America will lose NYC and that that will be the end for Air America (with 80+ other affiliates) if it loses this one station?

I find it amazing that they STILL (Ricky, Medium [has his head]Right[up his ass], Paul, etc.) can’t figure out how to make an "intelligent post". Nothing linked here indicated that ANYONE (former or current) did anything "wrong", or that it had anything to do with the Christian statinog taking over.. So, we have no idea what moron clan is talking about (well, I didn’t.. until you posted.. still don’t have details, but don’t care.. it’s not relavant).
The SECOND bit is these morons talk about "market".. yet, the Christian groups are in a panic about how "pay per channel" cable will destroy them.. duh? We see a VERY disproportionate representation of "Christian extremism" in our government.. not because most people in this country support them, but because they manipulate the system and are nuts enough to devote their lives to destroying the Constitution. So when people like Paul talk about "the market", they are saying "the rich people who want to piss away tax-free contributions received from a few million psychos and several more million saps".
Of course, NONE of this is pertinent to this thread. These trolls only come by to post on threads where they can make baseless attacks. Notice they don’t bother posting to threads that show how monumentally ignorant they are (like when pRicky talked about the ‘manipulated CBS poll’, but then 3 other polls supported the findings).
What I find amuzing is, people like Paul talking about the market.. the SAME market that is content to kill millions for profit. Anyone that supports that is scum, in my book. So for them to cheer for the "market" is for them to stand out in a crowd.. though, it makes it easier to find them when the time comes..

I was listening to Air America this afternoon, Randi Rhodes show. Mike Malloy was guest hosting and he brought this B.S. up that Ricky refered to. He said the Republicans are scared shitless of Air America. He also said that Air America was kicking O’lielly, hannity and savages asses allover the country. I would believe Mike Malloy over Ricky any day of the week. He went on to say that they weren’t asking for handouts but that they were selling pixels for advertisement,Good American Capitalism. He had me chuckling. I just love to listen to Air America,even tho its on a low watt AM station (lots of static)here in Chicago. I think I’ll go buy a pixel.
I bought XM around Xmas, just because you had a hard time hearing 1010AM even in PHX.. Power was cut at sunset, so not much lost.

Air America is our only recourse. I listened to BillyBob’s talking points tonight, which is ALWAYS such tripe BS. He made it sound like AirAmerica is almost a thing of the past because of NYC. I do have a hard time accepting that NYC can’t support them well enough, since NY seems to be a "blue state"…but hey, what do I know.
I’m not a big fan of any extremist, but I sure do enjoy listening to the one fellow on AA that sounds an awful lot like Rush PillPopper. I enjoy Al Franken, and it’s nice to hear someone that doesn’t insult callers or drown them out like the O’Liely, hannity and snow trash talkers do.

Just an FYI, Hulk. We don’t remove posts because they have a different opinion than ours. There are plenty here (from both Right and Left) that do that.
We ONLY remove posts when they either contain purposeful disinformation or when they include personal attacks on other commenters.
I can appreciate that. I’ve posted on the Right Wing blogs, and just as soon as I post, I get attacked personally by the other bloggers. Nice that it isn’t permitted on this site. I enjoy debate and hearing opinions….NOT being insulted and compared to lower life forms for not buying into someone else’s beliefs.

Wow there were 160 blogs on this now they erased them, there was good info. even a message last night by the old GM of Kxxt Air America Phoenix, he said while he was not involved with the campaign to raise money for AAP, he is indeed working on trying to get a new station.
Don’t give up hope, I wish the blogs would stick to the point of AAP and the importance of progressive radio in this right wing wasteland known as Phoenix!
