Apparently, they used a poster sized picture of this now infamous picture in the Senate yesterday.
By Charles Babington
Washington Post Staff Writer
Friday, September 9, 2005; Page A18Democrats sharpened their criticism of the Bush administration's handling of Hurricane Katrina yesterday, refusing to participate in a Republican-controlled investigative panel and displaying a photo in the Senate of the president strumming a guitar the day New Orleans was inundated.
This guitar deserves to be in the Smithsonian (right beside Nero's fiddle, of course) as a reminder of America's darkest days. The question is, how much darker will it get?

Looks to me like it's either a botched job of some kind of ~M7b5 (give or take a degree or two), or an inconspicuous plot to flip-off Americans...or is it only journalists? Perhaps just photographers? WAIT! I've got it! It's a botched job of something almost resembling anything in the general neighborhood of a thing that kind of looks like WMD's--er, I mean Ab M7b5 (hmmmm- he must have learned this chameleonic fingering in Iraq!) while SIMULTANEOUSLY (don't you dare call him stooopid--he's MULTITASKIN'!) carrying out the inconspicuous plot to flip-off...the entire fucking world! Go Georgie! Yay for the retarded kid!
Tell 'em out there by the big guillotine thingy to save me some cake, will ya, George?

wow... I didn´t realize that your president was a JAZZ musician... but he MUST be, since the chord is a G#M7b5#9 ?? (the notes are: g#, c, d, g, b, g#)
What a evil genius.. I´m sure that chord fitts well in that country&western piece he´s trying to play....
Now suddenly everything makes sense!

Nero fiddled while Rome burned.
Bush strummed while New Orleans drowned.
For history to come full circle, all we need now is for lions to be brought in from Africa to devour liberals in the Superdome. Of course, the place stinks to high heaven, but so did the Colosseum. And from some of the postings seen here by trolls, I'm positive they could sell tickets at a premium.

I actually heard on the history channel that some think that Niro set the fires in Rome so he could take over the land to make his own palace. In fact, his palace was built on the ruins of the part of Rome that burned. Bush did not bring in Katrina, but one has to wonder about what will become of New Orleans when they rebuild it. Maybe history does repeat.

well Charles in VT, considering the last couple of days and the comments coming out of some corners you're probably not far off.... NO will probably be rebuilt with a "resort for the wealthy" feel in mind.
Congressman: Hurricane 'finally cleaned out public housing in New Orleans'
WSJ: White rich elude Orleans chaos, don't want poor blacks back
add to that that the survivors are being moved out of state and will be "held" for up to 5 months and the chances that if and when NO gets rebuilt the demographics will have drastically changed....

For someone who brought up the point of alternative fuels, I think his discussion point was dead on target especially for a republican. Kraig brought up the reality of Ethanol, and even though its a perfect alternative it doesn't burn nearly as efficiently as vegetable oil. As someone pointed out it would be an immediate and workable alternative.
Bio-Diesel fuels are a reality because of Vegetable Oil so I don't see why not. It really is time to clean up the mess, and take out the entire cancer and probably throw out the 15% of america who rely on oil companies.....
CHANGE needs to happen today, and right now not tomorrow and not next year and there will be NO next time if we don't get off of it now, the disasters piling up are going to wipe out multiple states. This year alone, is the year of global warming.
So there's THREE things to do that MUST be done and must be constant:
Call for impeachments/resignations nonstop and hammer away at the Congress&Senate to keep the discussion, get the momentum moving. Especially congress like Chris Shays, Mark Foley, Jon Kyl, John Conyers, Dan Lungren and Walter Jones, Lynn Woolsey who are all fed up with the Bush Admin.
Contact Senate & Congress today
Create a rising echo around Tom Delay
Tom Delay is the biggest crook next to Hastert and the only guard left to prevent impeachments, make sure this man goes down and is gone.
Tom Delay on a path to destruction His TRMPAC operation was already indicted, and his associates jailed. His friend Jack Abramoff was indicted, and he accepted illegal bribes multiple times. Its only a matter of time and Delay will be indicted, forced on probation and before that he should be out of his position. A new majority leader immediately needs to be delegated by the R's and D's and we make CERTAIN of it.
Get rid of the voting machines!!!!. This is the most important point of all, the voting machines are fraud enabled and proned to stealing elections. The vote reform must be done and done in every single state, including Utah. Make sure to hammer ALL of your elected officials to get rid of the machines and not accept anything less than a verified paper record and manual audit!!!!! NEVER settle for anything less!!
Voting Machines the main problem, voting disaster
Bill needs to be passed immediately, Rush Holt's bill and all the R's and D's must force it through
Truth about election fraud, integrity and uncertainty: Lawsuits and documents
Don't wait one day, make sure these three key issues are MAGNIFIED by your represenatives nonstop!!!!! I plan to do so as well with the R's representing me.

I mean, doesn't this huge horrible disaster sharply bring out the need for either 1. real wealth redistribution in America or 2. an honest admittance by the government that a fair shake in life isn't really what America's all about and the said government shutting the fuck up about America being the "land of opportunity"? Like Stan Goff said, it's time to pick up where Dr. King left off and make a Poor Peoples' March and Campaign a reality. I mean hundreds of thousands of every race and type of Americans as long as we are poor, to include working poor. Everyone camping out on the National Mall like its 1968 all over again. In front of the Capitol Building, surround it and stand or sit down, just BE and make the presence felt. Camp out around the White House and refuse to leave. And we don't leave until the bastards in charge leave, permanantly. Half a million, 700,000 or a million people, what are they going to do? Arrest all of us? No way. Try to put it down militarily and have it turn into a bloodbath if some of the protesters are armed for self-defense? They'd be disabused of that really quick. Do it just like they did it in Bolivia a few months back, civil disobedience starting with shutting down the transportation network so the economy grinds to a halt and converging on the physical centers of power until all the "golden pheasants" flee the coop into exile at least. Bolivia is a good microcosm of a model for this. Or the People Power movement in the Philippines.

Kraig: The bush Junta's actions are a sign of sheer desperation, they would bribe americans willingly with money rather than have them revolt. They are scared of losing everything, you can see it on TV daily now.
The PNAC cabal fell apart at the seams and is struggling to figure out how to keep its fascism plan alive.
I mean think about it, every single thing ever done has been royally fucked up. Their wimpy politicians were bought off by Big Oil, just so the desperate EXXON Mobil could make a quick buck and keep everyone satisfied.
In a real war, they go down in a flash of cowardice. Look at the national guard record for Rumsfailed. We have here a princeton nerd trying to manage military, what the fuck happened today!???
They already give away 2000 dollar debit cards to all the survivors, anything to keep the masses under control....I smell the tide of their political demise reaching a fever pitch, they've been out-maneuvered.
The question here is will the americans all join up and start throwing them OUT?
DANGER! WILL ROBINSON, DANGER! BUSH HAS COMPLETELY CRACKED AND FALLEN APART! CAN'T BELIEVE HE IS "DISLIKED"!
"We will build greater resolve and overcome all challenges!
Bush admin and his GOP crony connects everything to 9/11 now, just to score political points. It ain't working. This disgrace must resign RIGHT NOW AND NO LONGER PRETEND TO BE PRESIDENT!
Cheney and the goons must be dragged out and hung or sent to a Gitmo prison. Bush, we're waiting for you to RESIGN completely. Nobody cares anymore about 9/11 or your constant bullshit.
They all, america wants you GONE and your handlers to resign. Just resign, for the good of EVERYBODY involved....Then maybe junior, it won't look so bad every day. To have the whole world hate you, that is.

Military National Guard deployed in Iraq HURT response to Hurricaine disasters
The official news Donald Rumsfeld WON'T let you hear since he is not part of the reality community
National Guard deployed in Iraq hurt nation's largest states
Admin plays political points again, tries to save face by pulling the national guard home and out of IRAQ: While Bush talks about never withdrawing troops and spins lies, 2500+ soldiers return home to spurring chaos
National Guard withdraw from Iraq
"Brigade commander Brig. Gen. John P. Basilica Jr. said Friday that the more than 500 soldiers who'd sustained losses in the storm would be sent home first. Some 200 already have returned to Louisiana, and the rest should return home by Saturday night.
"Some will require more services than others," Basilica said, speaking by video link from Baghdad. "Either way, we will come up with a plan and come up with the support that they need to help them get their lives back together."
Basilica said soldiers who'd volunteered for hurricane relief work would be sent home next. The rest of the 2,500-person brigade is scheduled to return to Louisiana between Sept. 20 and Sept. 23.
Basilica said returning troops would be given the choice of remaining on state active duty or returning to their civilian lives. About 800 have expressed interest in serving in some capacity when they return, the general said. Another 1,500 have said they plan to return to their civilian lives and the rest remain undecided, he said."
Ok Bush you've permanently failed on all accounts, as has Cheney. Will you RESIGN NOW BASTARDS BEFORE WE IMPEACH??!???

Surprise surprise....!
Government hits all time low: "Do as I say, not as I do!
The Federal Government has begun sinking to the worst shameless policy imagineable, and will be bribing most victims and families of the Katrina disasters off.
Debit card plan scrapped, citizens will now receive bank donations after filling out paperwork
WASHINGTON - The nation's relief agency said Friday it will discontinue its program to distribute debit cards worth up to $2,000 to hurricane victims, two days after hastily announcing the novel plan to provide quick relief.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it will scrap the program once officials finish distributing cards this weekend at shelters in Dallas, Houston and San Antonio, where many of the evacuees were moved. No cards will be issued to victims in other states.
Hurricane victims at other locations will have to apply for expedited aid through the agency's traditional route - filling out information on FEMA's Web site to receive direct bank deposits, FEMA spokeswoman Natalie Rule said.
However, the bribes are "political" and meant to prevent an uprising in front of the White House. Basically, everyone will get free money if they can stop talking badly about the bush administration.
But of course, just to play to their base secretly they have included the rule if you have bank account. After all, none of that is the federal reserves problem dontcha know....If you're accidently too poor to have a bank account, that's the states problem, you shouldn't be living here. Go move to Canada, ya lazy bum!
