Thanks for informing us about this "story". I enjoyed reading it, and really enjoyed the comments at the end of the Raw Story article. I do think it's important to find out what he was doing all those hours before the briefings. Where do people go? Is there a lounge? Surely, they can't just wonder around? Just how many hours can one just "wonder around" or sit in a lounge at the W.H. before the S.S. wonders what the hell you are up to? What at the names of the people who stayed overnight at the W.H. on the same nights as GG? So much for HOMELAND SECURITY. WHAT A JOKE!!! Peg C - It seems we need to educate the children ASAP about this topic, so they can stand up to the military recruiters when they come to the schools. The role of parents (parent figures, role models, teachers) is to teach their children so their children can survive and thrive in this world. This article should be supplied to every teenager in America, Britain and the world! How can it be distributed IN every high school in America? Is there a list on some website of all the highschools? Would it be broken down by state and city? But don't rely strictly on the parents and teachers. Go straight to the kids!

I guess the only mystery here is if Rove is gonna come out of the closet, or if he's gonna wait for someone to 'out' him.

Great news about this. Lots of stuff to work with. I too wonder what he was doing and why didn't he log in and out on certain times? I read in the story he had a lot of access that other people didn't. There's lots of stuff to work with and who knows what could happen with this story. I still think there's some ties with the Bush family somewhere down the line. I remember reading in one of the DU threads on Gannon/Guckert that he was in Texas once and McClellan was rumored to be seen in gay bars. Any way to find out about this and if it's true? So why would he lie about that? I think he is hiding something and he doesn't want people to look into it. I've also noticed he has disappeared now. He was still popping up here and there but now not at all. So I don't know.

No, he was on CNBC couple of days ago, with that evil grin, saying over and over that he is not little Johnny G. Reporter asked for DNA sample, he was evasive in his answer to that. He is a creep. And he LOVES attention.

He does love attention. I remember hearing about that but wasn't sure when that was. He seems to be silent now. Does he still update his website? I read on DU the people over at FR are going nuts. Not everybody but some people. Someone at DU also noticed that he was at the White House on at least three Sunday's. Why would he be there on a Sunday? How do they know though? Just because of a bumper sticker doesn't prove anything. This is supposed to be a town hall OPEN event for people who want to come and hear him speak. They have no right at all to keep people out. Especially if tax payer's money are going into the renting of the place etc. It's their right to be there just as much as anybody else. That being the case, who stands to gain from the fact that the logs show that on several occasions, Gannon failed to properly check in or out. How is it possible for someone with a simple day pass to do this? As I said at Raw Story, he MUST have had help from on high! Find out who was there when these irregularities occurred. Look for the patterns.

Also, the fact that the logs record his (supposed) real name, indicates that the Secret Service knew who he was all along. So, the false outrage (and the "We didn't know who he was!" when he was outed,) by the Whitehouse is a load of BS! They knew.

If I was a member of the Whitehouse Press Corps right now, I'd be screaming for answers! Strange that the cowards are so very quiet. Then again, I also have integrity and a strong sense of morals.

Better keep an eye open for sudden suicides.

The Secret Service has obviously been compromised here. Aside from trying to answer the intriguing question, "Who at the White House was Fuckert gucking?" we, as citizens, should us FOIA access to obtain all the records.

The obvious defense will be "executive privilege" or "national security," but if this guy was wandering in and out of the White House at will, the S.S. was in fact neglecting its security mission to begin with.

Just imagine if this had been going on under Clinton, how the Christian right and their allies on Capitol Hill would have been aflame. I also wonder what pro-Administration news-flashes were being floated around the dates of Guckert's "mysterious" visits to the White House. I am not so much interested in who he might of been visiting (or "gucking"), but I am pretty sure White House personnel also keep logs of "offficial" visits by outsiders and even insiders--appointment books. They might be examined if the Secret Service tries to do its job.

But as I read the early responses to the hate-fest in Kentucky this past Sunday, I see that even the local paper in Anniston, Alabama is taking fundamentalist Christian organizers to task for crossing the line--for accusing Democrats of being anti-religious.

It is the events with Guckert and the slow recognition of moderate conservatives on separation of church and state that needs to be thoroughly tied together in the minds of Evangelical Right. They evidently do not see that they are being "toyed with" and will be both used and disposed of when the Cheney's and Bush's decide to show their true colors: allegiance to corporations and to money. Articles are being circulated abouthow business interests are recoiling (a bit) over the Frist/DeLay pandering to the Religious Right. In the same week, Microsoft is cited as "running scared" of evangelicals over gay issues.

The next few weeks will be telling. But it does not look good for the Fundies at this time.

What does it take to tie this together into a cohesive presentation for the hard-boiled Right to see? I have no illusions that many just see what they want to. But the more moderate among them are the ones who elected G Bush in 2004 by acquiescing to him, not rabidly supporting him. He was the "devil they know" and the Derms presented a "devil" they didn't know. But make no mistake, both Christian moderates and Republican moderates are the people who elected Bush. And they are the ones who need to be turned around. The rest of us already know where we stand.

This is looking like a Greek tragedy (pardon the expression). The Secret Service checked him 13 separate times, all under the name Guckert, without a corresponding check-out time under that name. Presumably, if he had tried to exit under the name "Gannon," it wouldn't have registered in the computer because there would have been no corresponding check-in log under that name.

Did he stay overnight in the White House? How many balls did he attend (in a manner of speaking)?

Here's an approach Conyers and Slaughter can take, without any lewd intent. When he checked in the first time after having left without checking out (his second check-in), wouldn't that have raised a red flag? Whoever kept track of these things for the Secret Service should have said, "Ah, Mr. Guckert, nice to see you again. One problem, though...according to our records you're still here, because you never checked out the last time."

This problem should have arisen, in fact, twelve separate times! Yet nobody said a word? Under the FOIA, isn't the Secret Service agent responsible for keeping track of these things identifiable?

And way OT - I just put ten gallons (converted from liters) into my little Opel Astra today, here in Prague: 60 US dollars (converted from Czech crowns)! Six bucke a gallon, mostly in taxes! It kills me to hear the repugs moaning and pissing about taxes. Yeah, In Denmark they pay hefty taxes, but they get cradle-to-grave care, good care. In the CheeZee Republic they take half the national payroll every month in withholding, charge most everyone about 30% income tax, and slap a 19% VAT on most everccything you buy. But unlike Denmark, you get squat in sevices. I could go on and on about how strange it all is, but none of my friends would think taxes were a bad thing if they actually went to improving services for us all. Even in an old commie backater like this people think they should be able to pay a little tax and consult a (possivle) quacknwhen they're ailing

BLACKMAIL - There is another angle from which to view GG's activities; i.e., Mr. Gannon could be working for the W.H., using his "underground" male escort connections to spy on those who oppose W.H. policy. The information he could gather would then be used as "pressure" (blackmail) against Democrats and others who became a "nuisance" for the Administration, and to force them to vote with the Administration on certain issues(?)

My mother answered the phone this afternoon to be asked by a faint male voice whether she was a registered voter here in Maine. She was asked to respond with either "Yes," "No" or "Repeat." After a couple of "Repeats," she finally understood the question and Answered "Yes." Immediately the voice went into a speil, something along the lines of, "Did you know that the Democrats are trying to impede the work of Congress by blocking the appointments of Federal judges?"

She was so shocked and incensed she hung up. Isn't this intrusion into private homes with pure propaganda, at taxpayers' expense, 'way over the top - not to mention illegal and unconstitutional???

I got a phone call today from the Kerry people, who wanted to add my name to a list having to do with healthcare. They also asked for a contribution (many many times).
I was polite...
but I managed to say quite a bit before he hung up.

I said I wasn't contributing another dime until somebody addresses the issue of election fraud seriously. THAT was number 1.

I asked where Kerry had been Jan. 6th & why had he not stood up with Boxer? (he didn't say Kerry'd been out of town...in my book, K should have been there).

I said I'd heard K is "working behind the scenes" and that I hope the hell he is, but I have precious little hope left in him after the way he conceded.

I said I hoped he is "behind the scenes" supporting John Conyers' efforts to get at the truth, and I said that Conyers is a hero.

I said that healthcare is an important issue & I appreciated what they were trying to do there --I was one of those people without healthcare--but if our vote is worthless nothing we try to do matters.

I said that I had faith in the man that sat down with Dick Cavitt in 1971, but I wasn't sure if K was that man anymore.
I think it was about then that he thanked me and made his escape.

On Tradesport, the Irish betting exchange which predicted a Bush win in 2004, they are now predicting a Democratic win, Hillary, way ahead of Republican candidate McCain, for 2008.

It could be the election "FIX" is in. McCain's behaviour being inexplicable (promised a run at President which he does or doesn't know he won't be allowed to win), and now Bill Clinton courting GWB.

Maybe a "deal" is being made to fix the elections next time in favour of Hillary, to keep Americans quiet about election fraud. Your vote maybe didn't count the last two times, and maybe it never will again.

This has always been a fight between the rich and the poor, well before Repub. vs. Demo. The rich and powerful are prepared to compromise and "share" with each other, rather than hand over power and wealth to the people. This Repub. vs. Demo. thing is just another distraction to keep the people occupied and unaware of (power/money-sharing) what's really going on behind the scenes.

Maybe this is why Nader says both parties are the same. He means both parties are the same party - the party for the "rich".

Songwriters Association International) I kinda got into the Country mood. But too much of Nashville now is into flagwaving and it's hard to find the right artists with the courage of the Dixie Chix and the clout of Martina McBride willing to record something like this. My friend brought out a book that listed all the members of the CFR. They were all there, Carter included. Everyone should know about them and the Trilateral commission. You can Google it all, but I appreciate your input, and whatever else you can provide here for everyone to catch up.

If anyone wants to look up: Count Barnard Willhelm, who was an SS officer in the 1930's and in 1953 became the head of the World Bank, we might find something interesting. My sources tell me he is maybe the head honcho of the whole game.

For Joan: Your experience with the Kerry people is identical to mine. They call at all hours (even on Sunday!) on one issue or another. And they want money all the time (for what, the 2008 campaign?).

Dave, these links are great. This will give everyone a good overview. This has been known by some for a long time, but most people used to think it was hocus-pocus. Now maybe it's time for this to become common knowledge.

That's why I say the Internet is an amazing tool. It's almost like fate intervened. If we all know these things, and watch their moves, I think we can eventually unite and defeat them. It's all in the numbers.

WASHINGTON - A conservative writer who quit his job covering President Bush amid criticism for his pointedly political questions visited the White House 196 times in two years, the Secret Service has disclosed.

James D. Guckert, who wrote under the name Jeff Gannon, was Washington bureau chief for Talon News, a conservative online news outlet associated with another Web site, GOPUSA. Guckert posed questions with conservative overtones, attracting scrutiny from liberal bloggers who linked Guckert with online domain addresses suggestive of gay pornography. Guckert resigned in February.

Democratic Reps. Louise Slaughter of New York and John Conyers of Michigan filed a freedom of information request and were given Secret Service records of Guckert's visits to the White House.

I think this is highly possible... the Clinton puppet. Peggy and I have been discussing it on other threads. The Clintons are among the worst. Criminal to the core. So easily purchased. And it is just too obvious--all this new praise of the Bush family. And the latest is Mr. Clinton's praise of Tony Blair. It is so clear that he is being used by the Neocons. And he loves it, since it keeps him in the spotlight.

The Christian Reconstructionist movement has ownership in the voting machine companies. I think we should investigate if we are serious about getting fair elections.

The people have always had cognitive dissonance, and that is what these rulers count on. It's been easy up till now. They haven't even had to hide anything. The people are blind by choice.

But with the advent of the blogosphere, I think we have a new game.

Clinton said Bush "won the election fair and square." He has no way of knowing this for a fact, but he said it anyway, in the face of a mountain of evidence that Bush stole the election. Why would Bubba say such a foolish thing?

My guess is that he's helping Hillary prepare for 2008. She's trying to take a middle-of-the-road approach, seeking a consensus on abortion, health care, and global issues, while he cozies up to Bush pere and says Bush fils won fair and square. All very establishment, and all totally dishonest. Bubba really hasn't changed, folks...he's just wearing a different hat now.

OK, now is a good time to give you some of the skinny on all of this. I am so psyched that you are into it and starting to piece it together.

The feud between Bush and Kerry goes back to their Yale days together. Kerry was one of the intelligensia and came from better bloodlines. He spent his time quoting Greek philosophers while Bush was getting drunk and brutalizing people. Bush wasn't accepted by these people. Hunter Thompson once had a party with some of this crowd and Bush was there making an ass of himself. There were lots of fascinating people there but Bush had nothing of interest to say to anyone, according to Hunter. Everyone ignored him. Bush ended up passed out in the bathtub. He has a huge inferiority complex, I believe, and deep psychological complexes. So he is strutting like an idiot thinking he has come out on top now.

Kerry went against these criminals after Nam and you know he had some success. He then went on to fight organized crime in Massachusetts. It all culminated when he went after them again with BCCI and Iran Contra. He closed the bank down.

The CFR and other groups Dave and I were talking about have been working with international banks to launder money and fund all kinds of criminal activity including the covert operations in South America and elsewhere. Our politicians have been heavily invested, both parties. BCCI was the start of terrorist funding operations among other things, and the people in Washington didn't want Kerry to bust up their little party. He did anyway, and eventually exposed Iran Contra. He went up against the whole international corporate fascist cabal, and he remains a threat to the operation. He knows everything, and he knows their MO.

So Bush and the Neocons have an endless revenge trip going with Kerry. They taunt him in ways you can't imagine. That's why Kerry is not going anywhere. He's not finished yet. Bolton, for example, goes a long way back with Kerry and Kerry is on the warpath with him. And it looks like he's winning again and Bolton will be out.

Gannon is bigger than you know. These people have been invested and making megabucks in both the national and international sex trades.

So basically you have a crime syndicate running the government, and Kerry has been dogging them for years. They are starting to make mistakes, and if we, the bloggers, can expose their activities, who knows what we all can accomplish.

Even if you don't take Kerry's side, the game is fascinating, and a front row seat should prove entertaining.

More good links, Dave. This is good. Covering all this territory. There are still some things I'm trying to figure out before I have the puzzle complete, so I appreciate this. And I think it helps so much to target the people exactly as to what part they are playing. Knowledge is the best.
