Hi, Brad - the whole world knows the Bush admin. lies and no one will believe them or trust them ever again - the only ones who don't know are the ones who DON'T WANT TO KNOW. I hope the whole world has figured out a way to stop the next pre-emptive military strike from the Bush admin. I hope they hit the Bush admin. hard and that no innocent lives are lost.

I believe it is important to pick your battles discreetly. It seems likely, though it is not confirmed, North Korea knew or simply didn't care where the uranium was going. Leaving Pakistan out was a lie of omission, yes, but North Korea doesn't come out of this looking any better. The Bushists come out of this looking like they are doing only the usual "white" lying that nearly any legitimate administration would also do. So this is not the battle to pick.

Pakistan can "legally" have nuke stuff because it already has a 'valid' nuke program. For North Korea to sell to them is no big deal (unless I'm missing something about Pakistan having nukes already, but I was pretty sure that's what I read). The report -also- states that there is NO evidence to imply NOrth Korea had knowledge or 'reason to blelive' the stuff would leave Pakistan. Your assertion that 'they likely knew' flies in the face of the presented information and shows how easy it is for the Amerikan public to believe this pap.
Shrubman and his cronies -keep- lying (this isn't a "white" lie either, it's a gross misrepresentation of 'facts' designed to elicit a specific outcome, that most likely being the US trying to put pressure on other countries to support us invading North Korea some time soon too). They are trying to change the RULES as they go, and lying to the public at every turn. When are we gonna "fight a battle"? This isn't the "only thing" they have lied about, but is just another in the -long- list of lies. Part of the problem with -this- kind of lie, as was pointed out by Brad, is that it makes the rest of the world wonder "what the hell is wrong with those people.. Amerikans suck".. that causes assloads of problems for those of us that are NOT part of the idiots swallowing Shrubman's goo..
Why would anyone want to trivialize -any- of the illegal, imoral, unjust, and plain old stuid things this administration is doing? Sure, don't get bogged down in the details of all this, but when you have a list of 1097 things that were "direct lies intended to sway public opinion", you have a pretty convincing argument. You also have to have the details of all 1097 lies available to substantiate your claim of how grossly out of line the administration is..

Brad, it would save a lot of space on the blog to only print the times this admin tells the truth.
Now that would be a story ... sorry to say. The gasps and the noise of people scrambling to wonder what had triggered such a morph and to read the details ... probably expecting further information that they really weren't telling the truth after all.

Chemo #2 - sorry, but it is not okay for any administration to "lie" PERIOD, FULL STOP. Because it's done all the time, everywhere, does not make it okay. Is the world and everyone now prospering, with all these lies? Are we ALL safe, happy, with our necessities met? No. Could the world prosper if INTEGRITY became the watchword of mankind? I think so, and I'd sure like to find out!

Hi all.
I REALLY love the work Bradblog is doing, so please dont´t take this the wrong way!
We all agree that Bush & Co. are doing som REALLY bad things; and that the REALLY want to do these things.... almost every single of these things, are justified by pointing to the attacks of 9/11
Now; think REALLY hard... what if these attacks hadn´t been there... No Wars.... no PATRIOT ACTS... no gitmo... no increased 'defense' spendings.... no giant orders for Halliburton etc etc...
19 arabs with boxcutters.... really... how convenient...
Keep up the great work.

Savantster says: "Your assertion that 'they likely knew' flies in the face of the presented information and shows how easy it is for the Amerikan public to believe this pap."
I don't mind criticism, but dramatically misquoting my words is another matter. I did not assert "they likely knew." I asserted "they likely knew or didn't care." There's a reason I added "or didn't care," which is my doubt about whether they knew.
That may be wrong but that's a different matter. As I say, I don't mind criticism, although I stand by my main point that there are better ways to hound the Bushists than to make a deal on this one. After all, Bush can come back and "remind" us of how he "singlehandedly" got Libya to drop its nuke program.
Peggy says "Chemo #2 - sorry, but it is not okay for any administration to "lie" PERIOD, FULL STOP."
This is like promising never to raise taxes. If President Roosevelt had never dealt in deception, lies of commission and particularly lies of omission, that would have been very bad. And you may say that's not a fair example, but you wrote "not okay ... PERIOD, FULL STOP."
Here's my take: these Bushists are murderers. They are mass murderers. They murder Americans by neglecting their defenses, poisoning their air and water and food, sending them to Iraq, etc. They murder Iraqis most viciously. They murder children and women around the world by cutting their health aid and birth control, etc.
By focusing on a lie about how uranium got to someplace that agreed to give up its nuke plans is not going to resonate with anyone. Focus on the murder.
You may find yourself getting enraged, if you are like me. Then I calm down by visiting the site Mussolini in Pictures. Somehow it brings me solace.
I want the killing to end. We need to focus on the global warming that is going to make our lives hellish and maybe short.

My family and I went to a Peace vigil yesterday. All around the walls and laid out on the floor were pictures of each of the American military dead from Iraq and Afghanistan, over one thousand, six hundred, a number that the brain may be able to rationalize as a written number, but just one of these pictures alone seemed too large and too much when it is considered as the price paid for a lie. All of these faces together filled the room, and filled the eyes of almost every person there with tears of sorrow and anger.
There were about ten or so speakers there, among them, veterans, clergy, writers, poets, and ordinary people involved in anti-war efforts. Each one was a compelling speaker, but one in particular drew the most applause, and obviously struck a nerve in the crowd. His name is Joseph Gianini, a retired Captain of the U.S. Marines, who was a platoon leader in Vietnam. What struck me and it seemed, everyone else about this man was that he was the only speaker to outwardly and directly call George Bush a liar. It was obvious from the audience's reaction that we all see Bush as a liar. Even after all that has been done, too many seem reluctant to state the obvious truth........we have all been lied to, but not this veteran and not the people in that room.
Captain Gianini closed by saying that he believed that there is a groundswell growing, a great wave as he put it, of opposition to the lies of George Bush, and that he, and his brothers in arms would stand together with us, shoulder to shoulder and march on Washington to remove the liars from our government. I was very heartened to hear all of this as sometimes it seems that nothing will bring these criminals down, but I left feeling renewed and re-energized to do whatever it is that "I" can to make this happen.
One last thing. As we pulled back into the driveway of our home, I thanked my wife, and particularly my children for coming along with me. My children said to me........no, thank YOU Dad for helping us to understand what's really happening in the country. I am surely blessed.
Rage on Brad!
Rage on brothers and sisters!

Yes, I have to agree with you there.
Also, Pakistan (suposedly one of Ameica's greatest allies), Helped Korea (and Iran) get theur programs going in the first place. Anyone who trusts the Pakistan Gov't is as big a fool as anyone who trusts the US Gov't.
However, don't let the Bushites distract anyone from the main game.

We didn’t have these problems with Bill Clinton. Bush has really screwed up in North Korea. He’s made the situation really bad.

Bush is great. As to Ohio, we must have someone straighten out the false voting registrations. If the Dems don't like it, then they should also develop a program.
