For 6 terms, 12 years, this sick pervert has been working around teen-age boys. I hate to think about it, there may be other children he "e-mailed". I'm proud of that young man for defending himself, and I hope he understands he did the right thing.
How many more of these predators, in the party of family values, the holier-than-thou party.
I'm so sick of their values, I could scream.

It really IS curious why these pedophiles seem to be mostly (all?) Republicans. Wish they would post party affiliation on the national sex crimes website! There is no cure. Hope he goes to prison.

This pig asking a 16-year-old boy, if he makes him horny. You wonder why you hear so many stories about children being murdered and raped down here in Florida, it's because these people are freaks. The Republicans down here in Florida have big secrets in their homes. The reason we have mega churches' is so they can hide their evilness. I bet they have orgies in these churches'. I know, I went to one and got such an uncomfortable feeling about the pastor, then found out he was cheating with another married women in the church. Last time I ever went to any of these churches. I’m so sick of people without morals.

I am not shocked at all. In fact, I can hear Karl Rove and Grover Norquist muttering "Not all pedophiles are Republican---just the ones who get caught." And in keeping with their survival-of-the-fittest principles, they will then convince themselves this was a good thing to have Foley caught and resign. It will only make the party stronger, cleverer. The trick, they will tell themselves, is to hide better and misdirect attention. It's time to talk about Bill Clinton again.
You think I am kidding, don't you.
I truly believe there are circles within the Republican Party that do think this way. I have become THAT cynical in the past few years.

Maybe the "R" after their name stands for "rectum".
The "mistress choker" "R"-Don Sherwood from Tunkhannock, Pa. (my neck of the woods), had the audacity to vote to impeach Clinton for "the blowjob"...while he was busy cheating on his wife and choking his mistress. He "settled" for 5 million steamers. More "Republican Family Values", just like when we found out after the Terri Shiavo incident, that DeLay pulled the plug on his father. Just "used car salesmen"...tricking the mentally challenged voters.
Really, the corporate MSM doesn't "pull together" all these stories, as a huge pattern of Republican hypocrisy. We have Frist's medical license expiring, but he continues to practice medicine from the floors of congress. How would you like your last sight before you went under for an operation, to be BILL FRIST! YEEOUCH!!!!!!!!!
Then we have the Republicans passing legislation today giving Bush powers of a king, and yet they campaign as the "party of small government." They are supposedly the "fiscally conservative" party, and they squander a surplus into a huge deficit. They claim they are the party of "family values", and we see this dude and Gannon. They use gay marriage as a wedge issue, and we find out Rove's stepfather was gay and Cheney's daughter is gay. Hypocrisy from "used car salesmen". They control our entire government and the courts, and there's still abortion? It's because they DON'T WANT TO GET RID OF IT!!! So they can bring it up every election!!! What else would they bring up, besides abortion, flag burning, and gay marriage???
The Dems are weak on terrorism? Who was in charge on 9/11? Bush, Cheney, and the Republicans! Can't get any weaker than 3,000 people dying!!!

Uh.....I hate to throw a wet towel on the sexual predator comments (ok, maybe that's not the best metaphor to use here!), but the emails by foley to this page--that I read at RawStory-- were not overtly sexual. Ill-advised, suspicious & kinda creepy, yes, but not sexual. I did hear on the radio that there may be other, more explicit ones, but have they actually surfaced?
I just think it's unwise to jump with both feet onto the "he's a predator" bandwagon based on so little. 'Innocent until proven guilty' & all.
I'm just sayin'.

Here's a conspiracy theory for you. Is it possible Foley was burned by Karl Rove? Isn't it interesting that this scandal emerges on the same day that the Rove-Abramoff connection is confirmed? According to the NYT story, the Repugs have known about these text messages since 2005. Have they just been keeping it in reserve until they needed to draw attention away from a scandal with real political significance?

Theres always a way to exploit this for the Fascists gain

Maybe this IS the October Surprise. It's so Freudian. Karl, the gay-baiter son of a gay man, sees the irony of using Foley's predicament as a bomb to mix pedophilia and anti-gay sentiment in one incendiary explosion and --because he is embarrassed by revelations about his OWN damn hide--callously hurls the bomb at his own party!!! I love it. Great novel material.
I prefer to think--as someone else said--There is an Allah.

Rep. Thomas Davis, R-Va., said the report is "worse than I had thought. Starr lays out a very strong case."
"I have read enough of the report to believe we should have an impeachment hearing," said Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas. "I think the president has a very serious problem on his hands."
Rep. Constance Morella, R-Md., said the report "read like a novel. I was very shocked by the graphic nature of it."
What are these 3 saying about Foley???

Republican Don Sherwood from Tunkhannock, Pa. Chokes mistress and settles for $5.5 million, he can afford it, he owns "Sherwood Chevrolet". "Family Values" Republican then trashes Dem opponent Chris Carney. Is he DARING him to make choking Cynthia Ore a cammpaign issue??? Loyal Republican voters vote Sherwood to a win in the Republican primary. Local papers Citizen's Voice and Scranton Times REFUSE to cover the story, Wilkes-Barre Times Leader DOES cover the story, or we wouldn't know about it at all!!!!!!!
Don Sherwood voted to impeach Clinton for "the blowjob"...can there be any greater hypocrisy???
Fuck you! Don Sherwood!

Sherwood in fact does owe his constituents an apology, a very big apology. He was elected, if anyone cares to recall, just about the time the nation was supposedly reeling from the appalling conduct of its then-president, Bill Clinton, who was caught having sexual relations with a young White House intern. In a tidal wave of morality, various people were swept into federal office, including Sherwood. Most of them campaigned about morals and family values and a whole bunch of other wholesome ideals and ideas. Sherwood was no exception when it came to jumping onto a little slice of the moral high ground when it came campaign time.
Once in office, he maintained, at least publicly, his position on the moral high ground, including voting to impeach Clinton for his dalliances. And as the rising religious right's hysteria concerning gay marriages hit a peak, the former car dealer jumped on the bandwagon in favor of a constitutional amendment which was supposed to strengthen the sanctity of marriage between heterosexuals.
Sherwood has based his political career on marching solidly and merrily along under the banner of family and morality, and denial of various rights to gays and others who don't wish to march to the particular drumbeat that has entranced Sherwood and his colleagues of like mind.
So now this man of the party of family values has been caught in a sex scandal. The least he could do is offer a public apology to those people who voted for him and what he allegedly stood for when they did so.

Google John deCamp, a former senator who represented young boys used for republicans pleasure. Larry Franklin also helped procure the boys through Boys Town. He was an important republican. This was all going on when the 1988 story came out in the Washington Times, Midnight tour of WH. Underage male prostitutes given a tour under the Ragean administration, but George the first seemed to be a link. There was a DA about to zero in on them but he was killed in a small plane crash with the evidence in his brief case. The FBI arrived real quick and scooped it all up. These are some sick people, only God can love.

Since we're on the subject of FLORIDIAN, REPUBLICAN "IN THE CLOSET" HOMOSEXUALS" -
CHARLES CRIST, FLORIDA'S REPUBLICAN GUBERNATORIAL CANDIDATE IS AN "IN THE CLOSET" HOMOSEXUAL!
Now, the fact that Charles Crist is Gay means NOTHING!
The fact that his is "IN THE CLOSET" and representing the Republican Party that DESPISES GAYS means EVERYTHING!!
I am in no way accusing Charles Crist of being a Pedophile, but I know, I KNOW - HE IS GAY and he is IN THE CLOSET!
This - the grotesque hypocrisy from the Party that claims POLITICAL MORAL ASCENDENCY in this country.
If the Democrats are "Godless" like MISTER Ann Coulter claims - what does this make Republicans!!
Charles Crist - divorced, no children and "In the Closet," just like Mark Foley was one week ago.
YOU DO THE MATH!!!

Okay people, just so you know I'm no one trick pony, this is the most despicable piece of crap I have ever seen. However, unfortunately sick bastards cross party lines and are in every walk of life. So kindly, do not throw anyone under the bus based on your assumptions. Just because this guy covets little boys, that's not the case with every other republican that walks the face of the earth. The same is true if it were a Democrat who was busted this week. Child sexual predators are unfortunately everywhere, atleast according to Dateline NBC, which shows these sicko internet stalkers every week.
Don't be so bigoted against everyone else. Brad sells you people as intellectuals and what not, so try to act like it.

I understand what you’re saying, but I haven’t read anything in this forum that would lower anyone’s Intellectuality. What’s been said here are no worse then the Republican attack ads I see on the television stations down here in Florida. I haven’t seen one ad from the Republicans that didn’t attack one of our Democrats with FALSE accusations. At least what we are saying has some substance. Sure, some things might be a little detailed and not pleasant, but when you are subject to the Republican smear, hate, and attack campaign everyday. It doesn’t make us any less intelligent or wrong to state what we believe and know. And for lumping all Republicans into the same boat, Why not? They do it to us.

The answer man: here's what's biggotted: The republicans playing the "gay marriage" card every election, and karl rove's stepfather was gay and cheney's daughter is a lesbian. More facts we shouldn't bring up?
Maybe you like the non-facts such as WMD's, and things like that. Is that OK? How about Don Sherwood "family values Republican" choking his mistress while voting to impeach Clinton. Just more facts some people want suppressed for their agenda, by saying it's "unintellectual" to bring them up. Nice try!!!

WASHINGTON --- For more than a week, members of Congress said they would avoid partisan politics when they got Kenneth Starr's report on President Clinton. But when they finally saw it Friday, they split along party lines.
Republicans were aghast at Clinton's behavior, with many saying it showed he had lied and abused his power.
"It's vile," said REP. MARK FOLEY, R-WEST PALM BEACH. "It's more sad than anything else, to see someone with such potential throw it all down the drain because of a sexual addiction."
That was "just sad," Foley said. "It's unbelievable that he could behave so carelessly in that setting."

The web of weird continues. Missouri Governor Matt Blunt taking money from Jack Abramoff and disgraced Rep. Mark Foley, but neither he nor his daddy, Rep. Roy Blunt knew of Abramoff's or Foley's slease. Full investigations into this need to happen as soon as the Democratic Congress takes hold. What is despicable is that these guys all claimed to be moral giants. I suspect they are moral mice.
