It is strong stuff, but I will do him one better.
I have come to the conclusion that the Invasion of Iraq was motivated in large part by the Bush Administration's desire to prevent an Enron style meltdown of Halliburton. You may think that sounds bizzarre but consider this. In 2003 Halliburton was under investigation by the SEC, KBR was under bankruptcy protection and a number of reporters were already writing Halliburton's obituary. Much of the damage to Halliburton was caused by Cheney's 1998 bailout/acquisition of Dresser Industries, a company that George W. Bush's family has been involved with since 1928. In fact, I believe that the Family of George W. Bush may still own as many as 28 million shares of Halliburton Stock which they received in exchange for their Dresser Industries stock in 1998.
The invasion of Iraq seemed to present some unique business opportunities to an oil service company in need of some high dollar government contracts. In the First gulf war the Iraqi army had destroyed and set fire to over 600 oil wells in Kuwait and the expectation was that they would do the same in Iraq once we had invaded. Before the first U.S. Soldier set foot in Iraq, Halliburton had the contract to put out the oil well fires.
As it turns out the Iraqi oil wells were not set on fire enmasse but that did not mean that Halliburton lost out. The company has received billions of dollars worth of business, 80 percent of which it did not have to bid for and that for the most part it delivered through subcontractors and new hires.
An interesting thing to note is that my website www.geocities.com/freedomshighprice which had been previously listed in Google appears to have been blacklisted by Google since I started writing about Halliburton and the Iraq invasion.

Took a long time to hear these important words from the 1 time powerful blast from the past politician, however, this is definitely a case of better late then never.
Welcome aboard George. Your opinion is greatly appreciated.
2008 - Impeach the bush/cheney administration and prosecute them in a world court for all high crimes and misdemeanors.
Spend at least 5 minutes investigating Presidential candidate Dennis Kusinich who the corporate mass media is trying desperately to silence. He appears to have the American citizen's interests at heart and a plan to get us out of this care-less fire.

Here...
I'll make it easy:
THE MEDIA HAS DENIED YOU THE RIGHT TO SEE THE WINNER OF NUMEROUS POLLS!!!
THE MEDIA HAS DENIED YOU THE RIGHT TO SEE THE WINNER OF THE PREVIOUS ABC DEBATE!!!
KUCINICH has the perfect record to match his positions.
The media denies the public the right to hear him speak!
And then they claim he can't win. DON'T fall for it!
If he were to get the same amount of free coverage that either Clinton
or Obama get, he would be winning. And if we are ever to see the
America we know and love, we NEED to hear his voice throughout
the year, up until the election. Every time the truth is spoken during
the primaries, it DRIVES the entire discussion in OUR direction.
Did you know what these very recent polls showed?
* Dennis Kucinich won an astounding 76% of over 80,000
votes cast at IndependentPrimary. com:
http://salsa.democracyin...ent.jsp?content_KEY=3623
* Dennis Kucinich won 41% of the 15,800 votes in a
poll by the Progressive Democrats of America. In this
poll, he also came in first in the early primary
state of New Hampshire.
* In a Democracy for America poll with 154,000 votes
(an organization founded by former Democratic
Presidential candidate Howard Dean), Dennis Kucinich
won 47 of 50 states, and almost 32% of the overall
vote.
* Kucinich won a recent Virginia Democrats poll, and a Washington state poll too:
http://www.dennis4presid...r-in-virginia-dems-poll/
* And finally, in a poll by The Nation magazine,
Kucinich won first place with 35% of the vote.
The MEDIA has no right to censor our set of candidates!
Don't let the media choose our President!
WE NEED THE KUCINICH VOICE DURING THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN!
Rep. Kucinich is the ONLY Presidential candidate
calling for single-payer, not-for-profit healthcare
(eliminating the need for for-profit insurance
companies, premiums, co-pays, and deductibles) , the
only candidate who would create jobs while
simultaneously involving every area of the government
in environmental conservation and preservation (see
his Works Green Administration plan, modeled after
FDR's WPA), the only Democratic candidate who voted
against the Patriot Act, the only Democratic candidate
who has NEVER voted for the war or approved funding
for the war, and he is the ONLY Presidential candidate
who has even thought about impeaching the President
and VP! He is the ONLY Presidential candidate with a
vision and a PLAN for PEACE.

patginsd,
A lot of folks are with you, the problem is that corporate media has successfully created a perception that it doesn't matter.
Right now PERCEPTION is everything. (search some of my older posts regarding "perceived diligence" same basic tactic.
I hear a lot of folks out there who put down the corporate media in one breath, then in the other breath quote some fucking statistic from ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN or FOX. Even if you try to filter it out, your still going to make mistakes. Because it's all about perception. You like good news when you hear it, you tend to quote it, but when it's bad then the corporate media is bad. I am no better than anyone else, it's hard to keep a 100% filter on. You can unplug and cut the power cable off your tv set, but your still going to get sucked into their influence somewhere somehow, because they are masters of it.
The best one can do under these circumstances is to say, "whoop's that poll was from XYZ corp." and try to correct yourself, or don't quote polls at all. Short of that the root of the problem is the need for a fairness doctrine, and the original MISSION STATEMENT of the FCC to be put back up on the front page and adhered to. (anyone besides me notice that it's strangely been gone for a couple years now?) For that to happen we need a new president (one that obeys the oath of office, and hopefully not influenced by corporations or foreign governments) and for that to happen these electronic vote tabulation devices need to be outlawed. (Along with some other issues that have been brought up like vote caging, voter ID, public oversight.) Back to the NETWORK stations... You can go put complaints in their public file (You have to go to the station) and then when they try to renew their license the FCC (Bush appointee) will have to read a boatload of complaints saying, "don't renew their license because of X,y,Z."
It's our airwaves not theirs!
This also works the opposite, you can put GOOD comments in their public file.
Most people will never do either.
This is another dirty secret of what's going on. The corporate stations are currently invincible until things change.
So you'll see more propaganda perception and polls that are created by biased sources with an agenda.

Has everyone already signed Wexler’s petition at http://www.wexlerwantshearings.com
If not, take a moment to do so today. Time is running out and the Iran war drums are getting louder
