Listen y'all! If this was not the call to revolution, I do not know what is! For some reason --- failure, wanting to avoid failure, whatever --- we're not hearing about the qui tam suits. Tough shit. Bobby just stood up to the pigs who killed his father, who killed ALL our heroes, in front of TWO BILLION people! This is probably the most important moment of the new millennium on this video, and transcribed above. Take that video full screen and invite everyone in your whole town in to see it. Spread it across the globe!
All of it, it is just the choice between fear and love.
Choose. Everything depends on it.

The Truth Tin Foil Americans Can Not Handle
We ("america") are the deceivers. At least on this planet. "America" is a derivation of the name of an obscure explorer who should have been lost.
We are actually more "indian" than "american" but will not admit it. Drink the 5th, cause reading it is becoming a waste of time.
When we formed the US Constitution, version 1, it sucked. It really, really sucked.
It would have made any decent statesman want to puke.
Women could not vote, and slavery was protected. Yep, it advocated social disease (slavery) while talking of "inalienable rights". What lunatic hypocrisy, what a crock of shit.
It sucked so bad that non-decievers said fuck it we are going home. Which resulted in the bill of rights (the first 10 Amendments). It was a compromise. Good shit is a compromise?
Can you believe that ... the obvious - the basic human rights ... had been obscured but later forced into the document. Yet it kept slavery as an institution. This was our "wisdom" at that time. And we are dumber than that now?
Dredd has sedd many times that "any people who confuse the obvious with wisdom are doomed to eventually become neoCons".
Back to the story. That addition of the ten, the bill of rights, deceived us into believing that everyone was subject to the law and noone was "above the law".
But that little diversion left out "below the law", "left of the law", "right of the law", and "anywhere but under the law". In other words it was a compromise to deceive. It was sooooo bushie.
And it remains unto this very night ... or day ... hard to tell these daze.
Like Simon and Garfunkel said, we have all "Gone to Look For America", but the truth is he (Amerigo) died in the 14 or 15 hundreds.
Deceive on america ... you are, to be sure, amurka, the land of the military industrial complex, tweaked with needles a la "Conspiracy Theory", the movie.
No more, no less.
I hope that something makes you good by freeing you from the slavery of the military industrial complex. But I do not think that will happen. I think you will be destroyed along with it.
Another amurka will take your place. Like with Babylon, Persia, Rome, Assyria, the Hittites, the Turks, the Greco-Macedonians, Egyptians, and the other terrorists.
It is just a matter of how violent the change will be ... and a matter of whether or not it will destroy the life "above" the microbes.

We are already "on the barricades" ... meaning that the place where you can go no further has been reached ... otherwise THIS OR THAT (check out videos of people being placed into ambulances or jail buggys) will/might happen ...
I am not satisfied with that scenario.

You can insist that people in line with you at the grocery store go home and google "kennedy live earth". You can scream to your local media to cover it and have proof to show them. The possibilities are vast!

You want to talk Fantabulous?
Bobby's book, Crimes Against Nature, is still the most important book I read before the 2004 election (and I easily read 15-20 Bush books that year).
It's especially fun to note that one of the villains of the book, Stephen Griles, Deputy Secretary of the Interior, just got sentenced to prison for his dealings on duty with Abramoff.

I was upset by the lack of coverage, or the coverage which was warranted for the biggest musical event in history.
In both my local newspapers, on Friday and Saturday, there was not one single story. And I had difficulty finding anything on TV. I found Saturday evening, on the Sundance channel, they were playing the Smashing Pumpkins and the Police and Roger Waters. But this was a pay channel I happen to have.
I think for the biggest music event in history, the coverage wasn't adequate. I was expecting to turn on several channels at any time and catch something from the concerts.

Attorney Papantonio on Mike Malloy Show: 'We're gonna shut down some of these companies'!
Excoriates 'Indolent Democrats' and 'Lazy Media' for Not Taking Action; Lauds BRAD BLOG for Putting Issue on 'Radar Screen'...
The first of several federal whistleblower qui tam (fraud) suits have now been filed against one of America's major electronic voting machine companies, The BRAD BLOG can now report.
(BLOGGED BY Brad Friedman ON 7/13/2006 11:15AM, emphasis added). Ok, it is just about the one-year anniversary of what was touted as a momentus event.
So, what happened? Does 99 et. al. even care now? If these guys are all hot air, all hat and no cattle, if that dog won't hunt, why get one's knikkers all in a whirl over mere words?
Doesn't anyone check up any more? Or is this all just for grins and hoots?
Is this "to the barricades" movement going to go the way of the hapless EI movement, even with government help, and The Lone Tester?
If they said they were going to do something but did not that is one thing, and if they tried hard but failed that is another thing. But I have the right to know what happened.
Especially after waiting patiently for a year now for heaven's sake.

That sounds like a Cheneyism. The public deserves answers to things that pertain to them.
When this type story is touted as being as large as it is then the status should be posted as it unfolds.
Otherwise it is an MSMism.
Chenyisms and MSMisms have no place in an anti-establishment movement.
And drop the canard about not respecting a public official by asking them questions. That is a neoConism. What next, the public are terrorists because they ask public figures questions?
Bullshit.

The AP is announcing that preznit blush just said that neither the public nor the congress may ask bushies about the Department of Justice Just Us political hirings or firings.
Sounds like the public asking questions is a no no to those of a certain ilk.
I asked a question about the qui tam lawsuit:
I have a question for those guys Brad.
How is the qui tam lawsuit in Ohio going? This link shows that the white house regime is willing to politically manipulate what US Attorneys do.
Rove could easily order them to sabotage things, according to the implications of the link above.
Any word on the qui tam?
(Dredd on 3/11/07).
Brad, who understands the public's right to know, answered:
Last word I had, Dredd, was that the AG had asked for more time to decide if they wanted to join the case. Standard courtesy is to allow them that time. That was a month or two ago, however, so I don't know what the disposition of the case currently is. If I can find it out, however, I'll try to update.

Global Climate Coalition
I'll dig around and try to find out what the new scheme is
A snip
GCC's efforts were coordinated with separate campaigns by many of its members, such as the National Coal Association, which spent more than $700,000 on the global climate issue in 1992 and 1993, and the American Petroleum Institute, which paid the Burson-Marsteller PR firm $1.8 million in 1993 for a successful computer-driven "grassroots" letter and phone-in campaign to stop a proposed tax on fossil fuels.

[...]"In a section entitled "Winning the Global Warming Debate," Luntz says this (and all the points of emphasis are his own)
"The Scientific Debate Remains Open. Voters believe that there is no consensus about global warming within the scientific community. Should the public come to believe that the scientific issues are settled, their views about global warming will change accordingly. Therefore, you need to make the lack of scientific certainty a primary issue in the debate, and defer to scientists and other experts in the field."

Guess who's on Democracy NOW!, for the entire hour today? Ralph Nader!
"RALPH NADER: Well, the biggest problem is that the avenues to challenge corporate power, to restrain it, to break it up in its present concentrated form, to take it away from the political arena, because corporations are artificial entities. They’re not real human beings. They don’t vote. They don’t die in Iraq. They don’t have children. They are entities that are dominating our politics, our electoral systems, our universities, increasingly, dominate almost everything, even moving into areas that were once prohibited by custom in our country, like commercializing childhood. "
"The second that has to be done is something no Democratic politician will ever utter, except maybe for Dennis Kucinich. Not one Democratic politician will say, “We should repeal the notorious anti-worker Taft-Hartley law of 1947.” "
(ummm...that's DENNIS KUCINICH & MIKE GRAVEL...)

People keep asking me which candidate I want for President. I keep saying, "None of them!"
This morning my friend Stewart at the senior center, a Russian immigrant, asked why not. He said he'd been listening to Bill Richardson and he sounded like a good person.
I said, "It's the system. Suppose you have a really bad system, like the Mafia. And you have a really good person. And he says he's going to change things. So you ask what he's going to do. And he says, "I'm a good person, so I'm going to join the Mafia and I'm going to tell them to be good people."
Last I saw him, Stewart was still laughing.

I was unsure how to address 99's faith in a revolution started by American Pop culture (do I need to put up the MSNBC Link?) with Al Gore playing the Faceman.
#44 & #45 seems more like it to me...
The revolution is this... "Nature is the infrastructure of our communities"...no cars, no ipod, no liberal blogroll, no centralized national government, no interstate highway system, no motherfucking suburbs...Nature...trees, bees, deer, polar bears, bald monkeys (that's you)..."we've got to start by protecting our environmental infrastructure."
The fact is the planet is the Garden of Eden, or utopial, or heaven, or hell...this is the only place we have to live and you decide what that life looks like, everyday. Some like hell, they voted Bush or Gore or whatever. Ya'll can have your afterlife, make it snappy.

I was into the environmental movements when RFK Jr was just past his first decade of life. Back then it was called the ecological movement because the main players were scientists and Thoreau types ... it was philosophical rather than political. The big focus was on overpopulation at first.
I also went to jail for anti-war protestations while RFK, Jr. was at bording school, so I have found myself too close to the barricades at times.
That old environmental movement is a failure like the old election integrity movement. The larger these movements get the worse things become.
Not because the movements are in error, but because officialdom is ecocidal and blindly leads the world toward disaster. Make no mistake, what the toxin in power does to officials has the capacity to destroy all of us.
Think of the state of world pollution in 1967 and now, some forty years later. The world is far worse off and the movement is thousands of times larger. The EI movement tracks the same in the path of history.
Going to the barricades placed by the police where they want to place them puts you where they want you. Sometimes they like shooting fish in a barrel like Cheney.
But as this US Attorney points out, sometimes that must happen, but don't commit protesticide just because you got some kinda random juice flowin:
I realize that this constitutionally protected statement subjects me to a substantial risk of unlawful reprisal from extremely ruthless people who have repeatedly taken such action in the past. But I am confident that I am speaking on behalf of countless thousands of honorable public servants, at Justice and elsewhere, who take their responsibilities seriously and share these views. And some things must be said, whatever the risk.
(Denver Post, emphasis added). Just make sure you are not becoming cannon fodder for no reason is all I am saying.
Doom and gloom and nothing is much more likely to happen than what the naive heaven on earth donation seeking rhetoric promises.
Therefore even tho our brother RFK, Jr. is a democrat, I hold him to what he says he is going to do. So that is why I tender such questions to all politicians and movement leaders.

I'll either get another position in another company OR start my own business-- I have plans that'll make me one of those evil, greedy, corporate owning bastards-- either way I'm confident in my success and have NO fear of the future-- I look forward to any challenge that comes my way - get that winning attitude and you too can get out of a dead end- minimum wage job and make some REAL $$$$ with a true CAREER- not job, and some stability in your life-- by the way-- min wage is a joke, you should be paid what your worth- what the market says your worth- be it $2.50/hour or $300.00 per hour-- you can do it to, Agent-- believe me

The market has said too many good hard-working people are worth kicking while they're down and keeping them down until they're too dead to need healthcare and food and shelter anymore, Nick. If you really were as comfortable as you say, you'd be way too embarrassed to talk this way. Anyone with half a brain or half a heart would be, too. ONLY way you get someone to say this crap in public is if he's too desperate for the scraps you will pay him to do it. Nice try, though.

The "market" dictates what you're worth. By your logic, we should still be paying people to make buggies for hoarses even though there is no need for buggies, we should still be paying people to haul ice to our ice boxes, even though we all have electricity--do you see the idiocy of this??? Probably not. If you have no skill that is important to the company you work for, why the hell should they be obligated to pay you some arbitrary "min" wage let alone any wage at all???? Employees serve at the pleasure of the company they work for-- the company owes the employee what the maket will bear for their services. If you're in a situation where your value to the company is less than you can afford to survive it's YOUR responsibilty to get educated and become more valuable-- if you do that and the world changes and you're not valuable to that organization any longer then YOU change again. You have this entitlement mentality that gets you no where. A great tennent of conservatism is PERSONAL RESPONSIBLITY. It's on YOUR shoulders to succeed. You're not owed ANYTHING except what people like me are willing to pay for you. That's a successful life my liberal, misguided friend--leave the dark side and come over to the RIGHT side and enjoy some success of your own-- BUT EARN IT!!!!!!

Exactly how EVERY Conservative/liberal argument ends. Once the liberal is beaten down with logical and well thought out points-- the liberal devolves into some derogatory and demeaning comment--- I'm so used to that. I can tell by your weak posts you have no clearly defined policy on anything that's been discussed. Just a few "feel good" ideas like the "environment" " justice for the poor working man" blah blah blah bullshit. You're some minimally educated sclhob that hates life because you're barely getting by-- probably credit card debt you can't pay, you probably don't get along with your boss or think he's an idiot, you probably have a child or 2 out of wedlock, you're miserable and you want to blame everyone and everything except YOURSELF for your miserable predicament. Face it, my liberal brother-- you're a loser and you want to blame everyone else. It's such a shame because you can have so much more-- ignorance truely isn't bliss, is it my dwarfed brain friend????? I and everybody else has been hearing for years that his grandfather was in the bootlegging business. Since I've never heard anyone refute it, I just believed it was true and have been saying it myself.
According to Robert, it is, and has always been a lie. Isn't that something? I mean, that has to be one of the most successful lies of all time!

There it is ! ME, ME, ME, I, I, I, A scourge upon this planet,
Greed,
Avarice, you know the routine
A very few people know that Capitalism is like winning the lottery if your an honest person, now if you invest, what are the people doing with that money, hmm ?
Maybe denying some one that didn't make it into the system health care?
Maybe overthrowing a people elected Government somewhere that the citizens are abject to slave labor so you can make a couple of bucks ?
Maybe you invest in the arms industry, so in order to make you some money, they sell nuclear and conventional arms parts to some third world dictator and eventually they turn around and use it on you for what, a couple of bucks ?
Maybe you invest in a Food or Toy operation that uses our recycled toxins back over here so our pets and children can suck on them?
Maybe you invest in oil futures, that outfit will be sure to slow down the production of product, for maximum profit, minimal infrastructure, increased cost at the pump.
I could go on, but as we all know, it just falls on a narrow space between the ears that isn't used on some people.
The thirty somethings that have been listening to this "Capitalism is good" bullshit their whole lives do not have a clue what is really going down.
Time to grow up IMO

Your imagined "capitalism" is a myth or a god dreamed up by the disingenuous.
If your capitalism works so well why do you have to use the military to invade nations that are oil rich but weak militarily?
Is the invasion and occupation of sovereign nations, to take the oil they sell on the world market, any different than gangs looting Walmart?
And why is capitalism destroying the health "care" industry in america?
These daze "privitization" is just another word for stealing from the public treasury and giving it to the pigs so they can make war to steal oil and get fat, Fat, FAT on their own slime.
In short you confuse the concept of imperialism with academic capitalism. The neoCons are not capitalists, they are imperialists.

So many misrepresentations here.
Few, is any, have said global warming doesn't exist. There just isn't any evidence that Man is causing it. There is real scientific evidence that its just the sun getting hotter. There is also good reason that we aren't responsible for the CO2 concentration. The Earth is getting warmer wether we do anything about it ot not, and a warmer ocean releases its CO2 into the atmosphere.
Nobody says a stable climate is a luxury we can't afford. A stable climate is a myth that never existed. It is always changing. Look at the graphs even Al Gore presents. They show almost constant change.
The misrepresentations of capitalism are the worst. Its not because of capitalism that we supposedly have to invade other countries for their oil. If we had free markets, we would have access to oil more oil resources in Alaska and off the continental shelf, but oil companies have to go begging to Congress on their bleeding knees saying "May we PLEASE drill for oil? May we please do our job?". We would have more domestic sources available with laissez-faire capitalism, and if we had free markets in other oil producing countries, why would we have to invade? Economically speaking, if you have free trade, it doesn't matter which side of an inaginary line natural resources are on.
Its not capitalism thats destroying the health care industry. Its government regulation, making it harder for insurance companies to make a profit, so they are forced to restrict access to health care to remain solvent. You think socialism can give us good health care? Michael Moore may have shown you what the elite in Cuba get for health care, but have a look at what the poor peasants get: http://www.therealcuba.com/Page10.htm
Sure, in America, we often have to pay for medical care out of our own pockets, but at least we get it, unlike in Europe and Canada, where you have to wait months, and maybe die waiting for cancer surgery.

Floridiot: Laiseez-Faire did not cause the Great Depression. The government monkeying with the money supply through the Federal Reserve did. England abandoning the gold standard (a commodity standard for money being essential to capitalism)is one of the things that set of one of the early panics and stock crashes. Government allowed a lot of pollution in the 19th century because it decided that economic growth was more important than enforcing property rights. (Private property is the essence of capitalism, not government deciding what the economy needs.) Before that, there was a system of property rights, such as water rights, that the government decided to ignore. The problem wasn't capitalism, but a violation of its necessary conditions.
There are so many fallacies and outright LIES about capitalism out there, its hard to believe we have as much economic freedom as we do, and we aren't in the same shape as the USSR was when the Berlin Wall came down. Have any more misconceptions you want me to correct?

LOOK! This thread is about standing up and booting out criminals and the evil greedheads that are ruining our lives and our planet. It's Bobby standing up to the fuckers who killed his father... for our sake, for all of us, rich and poor. Some seem to want to grouse about their pet issues not being covered well enough to suit them. Some diehard capitalists are getting their knickers twisted over the notion of a truthful press, working to mitigate global warming, and restoring some basic equity in a country where we have declared our equality.
Something beautiful happened at Live Earth on Saturday, and this post shows THE most beautiful part, and trolls, or people acting like trolls have turned the discussion into a big heap of rotten mush. WHEN DO WE GET TO THE POINT WHERE WE DROP OUR BITTER LITTLE SELF-SERVING OPINIONS AND COMPLAINTS AND UNITE AROUND THOSE WHO WILL FIGHT TO GET OUR COUNTRY BACK? I want my country back. I've been asking after it, looking for it, calling for it, swinging from the earlobes of everyone I meet about it, FINALLY someone comes out with the heroic stuff that leads to it, and you guys sit at your computers and heap a big steaming glop of spoiled mush over it. HE DID THAT INCREDIBLY BRAVE THING FOR YOU! If you're too wrapped up in your own resentment, how are you going to find the gratitude for your own lives to be grateful for heroes?
Melissa Etheridge almost died of breast cancer. She got in touch with her gratitude. She's out there singing her heart out, announcing she's done with being different and pleading for America to stand up again.
Do you have to almost die before you WAKE UP? If you don't cut this shit out, we're going to be standing over the ashes of our Constitution and then standing in line for our RFID chips and then sitting in our homes dreading every knock on our doors WHILE THE PLANET IS BURNING DOWN AROUND US.
Snap out of it!

Plus, I don't know why your shill mill insists on spamming us with capitalist rah-rah either. There are many avid capitalists at this site. Having a social conscience is not antithetical to capitalism, just to greed obsessed capitalists. Stories about happily pissing away thousands while people are dying horribly in Iraq and people in New Orleans still don't have homes really doesn't sound very successful to me either. Yes, I'd go so far as to say that it IS entirely capitalism's fault. If capitalists were not trying to maximize their profits, avoid upgrading their infrastructure, avoid abandoning their polluting and wasteful products for clean and conservationist ones, we very well might not be in this mess at all, but certainly not in this big of one. We've had, for instance, fiber optic technology for decades. It is capable of bringing us all our services, using less juice, but "it's too expensive" to replace all our electrical lines, cable lines, and telephone lines with it. I can't tell you how many times something bad or wrong doesn't get fixed because profits will be lost.
And you guys from the shill mill wouldn't be here changing the subject from Bobby's speech about the traitors in the media, defending fascism with your sick and selfish bits about capitalism, if that were not the case.

Of course, there is also the myth that the environment is always getting worse and worse, that capitalism is destroying the Earth. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Modern agricultural technology is making it possible to return more and more farmland to the wild, by increasing crop yields per acre to the point that we can feed all the people using less land. Remember Paul Erhlich's prediction in 1970 that even America would be deep in famine by the 1980's? Environmentalists always need some scare story to motivate people to join their religion. Then it was overpopulation and famine. Now its global warming.

"these villainous companies that consistently put their private financial interest ahead of American interest and ahead of the interest of all of humanity. This is treason and we need to start treating them now as traitors."
Traitors are executed. While I do believe serious consequences should be applied where illegal actions are identified, I don't know that we want to be advocating treating them as traitors.
