The media is doing the best they can to ignore this trial because:
1. They always ignore the important stories.
2. They realize this is very bad for them also.
They share the list of people who could have prevented this war and didn't.
I am enjoying the trial that could no longer be staved off and the parade of media witnesses that got caught up in this historically messy "affair". Maybe we can even find out what differentiates lying about what "the meaning of is, is" from lying to start a war!

I hope Cheney realizes that, even though he did all the work, he's the one that's going to prison and the spoiled little rich kid will be free as a bird because he comes from the Bush crime family. A family with generations of knowledge on how to separate their members from crimes against humanity.
Cheney: "The dumb, stupid animal to be used as a pawn in foreign policy."
Mr. Kissinger will also live out his life in freedom.

The oil barons have become the drug dealers who wage a war on the real world. Instead of joining those who believe in peace, life, love, and the good life, they have now sunk to lower life forms.
They wage war to control their drugs, and thru fear and intimidation, raise the price to reap the greatest booty any pirates of death ever have.
And they look us in the eye and lie, but even worse I suppose, they imagine in their perverted minds that we believe them. Check out 15 points:
1. Human addction to energy consumption has spiralled to an unsustainable level in which oil is the hard drug of the global capitalist economy.
2. That this consumption is causing irreparable damage to the biosphere and is pushing the planet into a climate collapse which condemns many forms of life to extinction, among them probably the human species.
3. That the production and commercialization of fossil fuels worsens social inequalities, supports dictatorial regimes and sparks off armed conflicts around the world.
4. That oil is principally used to ensure the incessant flow of goods worldwide, flowing the veins of capitalism.
5. That the oil corporations are anonymous financial conglomerates, legal shields of speculators who act with impunity and as such allow those responsible to evade legal process for demonstrable crimes against humanity.
...
(The Rest).
Yep, this trial is just a tiny glimpse into all that darkness of the neoCon dysfunctional heart.

Bush employing the Republican mantra: Get more $$$ for war profiteers, and cut every other social program to get our tax money into the war profiteers' hands. And cut the extremely rich's taxes during war time. Spiralling deficits are no accident by Republican presidents. This way they can say, on the deficit THEY PURPOSELY CREATED by increasing war money and cutting billionaires taxes, "now with this high deficit, we must cut social programs."
Clinton, not that I liked him all that much, balanced the budget while getting a blowjob from Monica, that's how easy it is.
It's no accident, that Republicans run up huge deficits, while claiming to be "fiscal conservatives". This is so they can say, "Oh look! Now we have to cut social programs because the deficit is so high." Notice, to balance the deficit, they don't raise the 2% riches taxes or cut war profiteer spending. Let's stop calling it "military spending" and call it "war profiteer spending". That's another thing we better start doing.
"Military spending" is paying the soldiers more money, which is ANOTHER thing the GOP is against.
"Military spending" = soldiers pay (GOP is against this).
"War Profiteer spending" = more no-bid contracts for war profiteer companies that have ties to Bushco, and Pentagon official and generals who run these companies after they retire from the military. How many connections are there in war profiteer company CEO's, lobbyists, etc...that were formerly in the pentagon or military? There should be a law against this.
IT'S A HUGE RACKET...the greatest racket of all time, which Eisenhower warned us against. Endless supply of war profiteer $$$ from endless source: taxes!!!
I'm going to look into withholding my federal taxes, or I'm just condoning all of this.

All Tim Russert and George Stephanopoulos had to talk about today was:
***** CAMPAIGN 2008 *****
The government is falling and we can't talk about what the hell to do about it. We have to talk about:
***** CAMPAIGN 2008 *****
Unbelievable?
No. Totally believable! The media leads the American people to slaughter. That is their job!
Moo like cattle and press the button on the Diebold machine, Bessy!

Dredd:
That's a very illuminating way to look at it.
The oil companies are just gangs, but instead of spray painted logos, they have huge plastic ones that light up. Al Gore never ran drugs oil for them and was treated like somebody on the block trying to horn in on their profits.

I'd like to see the full CNN piece.. someone said he "didn't crack up" on camera.. but I saw the bit where he looked like he was about to come unglued about his gay daughter that he can't stand having tossed in his face (despite pretending like he loved her during the election cycle). BlitzyBoy looked like he was about to wet himself.. lol
I don't think any of this will matter one wit. They are trying to keep the tapes out of the public sphere.. why? So they can keep the public ignorant to just how blatant the dislike of America really is to these pricks in charge of things. Not that it matters, though. Most Americans are too damn stupid to realize what's going on, even if it was dictated to them from the mouths of those trying to kill them them selves. Americans don't care about fact, knowlege, truth, justice.. they only care about their bling and showing how special they are by what they can 'buy' and 'own' and 'show off'. American values are in the toilet, perfect for the Mega-Corps who want to sepperate us from our money.
Cheney won't sit a day in jail.. Shrubby won't sit a day in jail.. none of these people were even scolded for their parts in the Iran-Contra illegalities, nor for the gaming of evidence in the first Gulf war.. Politicians don't abide by laws, they don't suffer the pains and ills the masses do (in fact, neither do the richest 2%), they don't live by the same confines we're expected to. Illegally invading Iraq, illegally leaking classified information, none of that matters. The Dems got in to office and have done pretty much nothing so far to combat the crimes and lies. I don't hold a hope that they will do the right thing because if they do, then they can't abuse the system for their own ends either.

We proved ourselves to be but a herd of struthious cunctators - we deserve what's coming! Forget Iraq, it's lost. Let's prevent an Iran debacle!
