For what it is worth, gamblers are giving Democrats about a 75% chance of winning back the House on Tuesday. The top chart shows the one-year downward sloping trend line for the GOP keeping the House. The bottom chart evidences the significant (more than 5%) gain the Democrats made today which is, perhaps, attributable to the breaking Ted Haggard scandal. UPDATE FROM BRAD: Please note that it was the oddsmakers in Vegas, who had given odds showing Kerry would win in 2004, which originally spurred our friend Jim Lampley of HBO and NBC to declare that election was “biggest crime in the history of the nation” shortly after it was announced that Bush would be the victor. As Lampley knows, Vegas doesn’t like to lose money, so they tend to get these things right.
If the Democrats take control of the House, John Conyers becomes chairman of the Intelligence Committee. Bush, Cheney, and Rove would rather flee to Paraguay than have that happen. How many days after the new members are seated will it be before the impeachment articles are filed, and war crimes charged?
No, I think not. The Republicans simply cannot let the House go. They have to retain power there, and damn the consequences.
Even if they lose the elections, they will never let the new House sit in January.

Hey Brad was it you who said there is an award for proof of voting fraud? I forgot how much it was for, but I think it was for a lot of money. It’s a GREAT idea, glad someone is doing it. Can you give us more information on it? This information should be made a commercial, and get out to everyone in the United States.

The press and Republicans are beginning to talk about vote fraud, so I’d suspect we’ll be hearing some noise about that when the election results are reported. They were predicting Dems would only gain about 12-14 House seats, so more than that and they’ll likely scream bloody murder.
What I wonder is if Dems should be able to win 50 seats, but only win about 30….who’ll scream then?
