The only way they are going to get rid of these machines is if someone who knows how they are doing it, does it so their gig don't turn out they way they know it will. They know this is the only way they are going to win. They are going to do everything they can to keep things as they are. That is why we have to play their game and play it better. Oh, yea that is a football game that is.

Keith Cunningham of the Lima, Ohio, elections board says,
"I don't think that we're facing a meltdown. I'm afraid we might be facing conflicting records in the event of a recount that can't be reconciled under any circumstances.
I blew milk out my nose when I read this...very funny.

Lisa B's comment is one of very few I've read anywhere that recognizes what we are dealing with in the upcoming elections. Yes, we're nicer people than the Republican Neocon enemy we face, not prone to being sleazy, sneaky, underhanded, backstabbing. Well, this is one time we need to forget about being decent people, learn our enemy's tactics, and beat them at their own game--as Lisa said. We can return to being good guys on November 8th!
Over the past few weeks, I've been increasingly distressed, as I've read Posts and Diaries on Kos and elsewhere. People have been celebrating the return of the House, and possibly the Senate, to Democratic hands, based upon Polls! Too many have very short memories. In 2004 we thought Kerry would win. At my Polling Place--in the overwhelmingly Democratic Bronx, NY--the turnout was larger than usual and all for Kerry. That night, as I monitored various internet sites, media outlets, and TV talk, all indications were that Kerry had won. Suddenly, around midnight, sites were unreachable, projections disappeared, then all returned-- with the totals reversed! On Tv, some talking heads seemed flustered, confused, then went with the program. I understand even Bush thought he had lost, until he received news to the contrary- suddenly, unexpectedly.
Does anyone really believe they won't pull the same tricks again in order to hold onto Congressional control? Did Karl Rove and his cohorts suddenly become honest and fair-minded respecters of our Constitution, of our democracy? Democrats like Conyers and Pelosi will investigate, possibly start Impeachment Hearings. The truth will come out, adding the risk of prosecution to their loss of power. They will NEVER let it happen!
We need the equivalent of guerrilla warfare before, on, and after Nov. 7th, with massive involvement and absolute refusal to except anything less than an accurate count- or recount- and, if necessary, physical action (like the Republican mob in Florida, 2000- blocking a recount with a mob of raised fists and shouts) and, hopefully, enforcement of law by police or military if it comes to that. (In 2006, the Military just might be on our side.)

how about this?
Cut off the votes that come from ALL machines. Since they can not be validated, then the only thing left to do is count paper. Even if that paper is the paper that was supposed to be scanned.
So if your state runs "electronic only" votes, then you are either going to a.) Re-Vote Spare no expense on paper. b.) Loose your vote.
IN either event, START SHOVING SOME POSTER SIGNS INTO ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX0r's elephant ass sucking faces.
I still don't see a disruption of the media.
You want GORILLA BRAND ™ Warfare.
You better practice on the MSM.
I can hear YOU SAY the military should be on our side, but remember, THEY ARE UNDER ORDERS. That could be a disastor to your day, we are all going silently into that dark night. Some how they need to be reminded that they swore an oath, and the airwaves are public not CORPORATE.
Rid the FCC chair. Let's lawsuit their ass up.

how many trees would one election be? I'd rather kill trees than people.
