Is this suppose to be a cute or intersting "teaser" - please don't post the bullshit - its bad enough that the MSM and even to so-called-liberal blogosphere ignores the important things on this blog.
Then you go and print crap like this entry that further obscures important info - extremely ignorant.
And another thing - why do you even associate with that "advertise liberally" group. Their "superblogs" ignore virtually everything posted here and even delete or ban comments on their sites that bring up some of the issues here.
It isn't helping for bradblog to be part of a group that seeks to limit dialog, water down liberal politics, ignores all traditional socio-economic and labor issues, and poo-poos talk about election fraud as "conspiracy theories".
Please, brad, you need to re-examine who you are associating with - they are not behind you.

Hey, anonymous, get over yourself. According to you we are important and ignorant. How about important, informed, informative, ignorant, hard-working and needing some fun once in a while? Never mind. Don't answer. Just get over yourself.

agent99 - get over yourself - its a legit point. MSM ignores this even though brad and crew have something meaningful to post about election fraud each and every day.
The message isn't being carried by the rest of the gang that proclaims to represent "liberal causes" either - they are not actually supporting you or your work. In fact, they insult and put most talk of vote fraud down.
The problem isn't just the MSM or the DLC - its also the small group that is trying to use and endless set of links back and forth to create the illusion that they now represent liberal issues.
Fact is - they don't. Fact is - most of them ignore bradblog.
What part of this can't you understand? Perhaps you just see yourself as to important and omni-powerful to think for yourself.

No one is listening among the faux "advertise liberally" circle of links either? Where is your snark for them?

What? Still not brave enough to post with real information? Cowardly with your brilliant points?
You know damn well I was referring to you dissing this post while you were having your cow about such weighty matters.
And, yes, I'm so important and omni-powerful that I have changed the programming in *'s brain, and mooted the whole question for all those not brave enough to face it. I'm so self-important that it amuses me to get down off my high horse to roll around with humorless cowards.
Yeah, that's the ticket.

Hey relax, guys! It's a harmless enough joke, is it not? The fellow who sent me the pictures thought it was "excellent" ... so apparently it takes all kinds.
In case I was a bit too subtle about it, the joke goes like this: I'm making fun of the people who aren't listening to us. I'm making fun of the fact that the DNC wouldn't even list the EI round-table on the official list of events for the weekend. And I'm making fun of it because, if I don't, my head is gonna fall off.
You see? It's funny!!

What is the deal? That is the second person who has said that Brad is allowing himself to be used. Brad is not the type! He is going to find out what's going on and tell us about it. Nothing more!
Be careful of letting your girlfriend take pictures of you at work. Paul McCartney did that and eventually the press accused her of ruining his music. I don't know what this has to do with anything, but I just thought I'd throw it in anyway.

What a load of uptight crap. Anonymous may be a shill trying to plant discontent in the ranks.
And good on Desi for putting her real name on the pics. Yes anonymous her real name. Thats a brave thing to do for anyone.
Keeping the lines of communication with the DNC could also be a good thing. At some stage what Brad has been telling them may get through.
If I go on for any longer i'll kill the fun so carry on Winter and 99

By the way it's a little known fact that the third pin from the left in Desi's camera has a nick in it. Look for a slight scratch on the contact of the memory card to confirm it's orgin!

And, I'm much relieved to see Brad's face filled back out and color in his cheeks. He must be getting some rest and the stress must be ebbing a bit. This is way good to see. You can't very well get up in front of tv cameras or big crowds, looking like you're going to die of some awful wasting disease; it would scare the children!

Posting something on this blog will NOT alter how the MSM or the MSB (mainstream blogs: KOS, Atrios, Huff, etc.) cover the issue of Electoral Fraud --- they won't because they are falling into the trap of "success" and don't want to risk that by "seeming fringe."
The Corporate State is BUYING the acquiescence of the MSB's the same way it is starting to buy the silence of many of the "progressive" talk radio hosts. I can hardly stand to listen to Ed Shultz or Al Franken any more because they are so damn "middle of the road." Malloy and Hartman are the only two I get in my town that are worth their weight in electrons (I know there are a number of others, but I don't have access to Miller, et al.).
Smart reporters and those interested in finding the truth about electoral fraud and the destruction of the integrity of our electoral system by the Repuglicans will find it here at BradBlog, and I doubt they will be bothered by what is obviously a little "let off the steam and have fun" posting. (Speaking of which, I was a little worried about that "putative girlfriend" mention --- that sounds practically obscene to me! I need to check the dictionary and see if my wife is "putative" and if not, how I can get her to be.)
Keep up the great work Brad.
And to those who complain about the advertising deals that Brad makes --- show us a pointer to your RECEIPT for DONATION to BradBlog before you post. Brad isn't getting a grant from Soros the way the right-wing, nutjobs get grants from their benefactors or run newspapers for years on end at a loss just to provide propaganda.

"putative" - assumed to exist or to have existed.
LOL
You mention "Miller" if that is Stephani Miller - I quit listening to her about 9 months ago when she made a snide remark and hung up on a caller the instant he mentioned 9/11.

Wait a minute--Anonymous has a point-whatever that is.
However inartfully he may have written his thoughts or with whatever venom he was spewing at that moment, doesn't he at least represent those people not in accord with this insular group?
Do you want to be inclusive-enlarging the group, getting the message out and considering objections as they arise or shut down dissent?
I don't think Brad needs defending, perhaps quite the opposite-what about debate and discussion?
Practise here because how many shots do you get at convincing the cynical on the outside--too few.

Nobody shut down nobody, Rich, and this is not an insular group. Brad doesn't think he needs defending either. If anyone chooses to, that's their call. If you post comments here, you should expect that others will address your comments as they see fit, and within certain loose rules for commenting. If yer gonna be obnoxious, ya gotta take the heat.

You seem to have a swagger in those double negatives and melodic pitter patter. I get the "get over it" comment from A and your defense of Brad's defense and all that jive.
But tell me, what do you intend to do in the way of expanding the Brad Blog universe? Does that matter to you-or anyone else?
I am curious about the vision of the "heavy users" --maybe its "heavy lifters" for this site and its message.

Well, I'm not much into blubbering about how much work I do here, or out there. If people want to see me as a power-mad, swaggering, do-nothing, it's their problem, no? If you're curious about the vision of users or lifters of any weight, why not take a trip through the archives and decide for yourself? That IS the best way.
After all, do you think that an impressive bundle of words, here, would do anything more than confirm for you what you already think?

From old movies I get the impression that in the 2nd world war people joked, laughed, partied and escaped often. There were some who lost it "their minds" completely. Total mental collapse is something that war and stuff like whats happening now still does to people.
That was a serious, serious gut wrenchingly horrible time I believe. You either laugh or you collapse under the strain. There are other sites covering this issue but I prefer to mostly be informed here because in between the excellent reporting of chilling events, and huge contribution by many people there are some laughs. I am not part of an insular group and do not wish to be but people here are quite tolerant as long as you are not really just a mean nitpicker or a shill with ADD.
Must admit I also had to look up "putative"

99-
Relative to your last sentence-this may surprise you:
I believe you are making huge contributions to the cause and your commitment is admirable.
I find your questions and answers to be perplexing though:
you wrote---
Well, I'm not much into blubbering about how much work I do here, or out there.---
This too misses the mark. I don't know who you are and I can't understand the "persecution complex" you exhibit.
---you wrote---
If people want to see me as a power-mad, swaggering, do-nothing, it's their problem, no?
If you're curious about the vision of users or lifters of any weight, why not take a trip through the archives and decide for yourself? That IS the best way.---
Power-mad, ...it's their problem-- you write, what are you doing with this hostility?
I believe you have this ass backwards. Yes, words impressive or otherwise, which set forth why you're here-other than sport, I guess-would be an opportunity for some of us to understand your role in this very important site.
The next sentence saddens me as it is a metaphor for the "why bother" syndrome; the cynicism and resignation that plays out when someone-(meaning you)-shuts down the discussion with what I-(meaning me)have to say either doesn't matter or you're conveying the You're-Rich; not worthy of an explanation.
---you wrote---
After all, do you think that an impressive bundle of words, here, would do anything more than confirm for you what you already think?---
Finally, "mind reading" as you display here really does you no service and certainly doesn't provide a welcoming environment for visitors. Have you had many meaningful discussions with cynics on the other side using these techniques?
Oh, and the referral to the archives mention I am familiar with. It always struck me that if you can't say what you do, past future and present, then you should inquire into what you think you might be doing.

Rich
Thanks for your kind opening sentence, but I do not understand the rest of your post. Maybe my brain is too tangled from all the research and emailing and things competing for my attention lately. I simply meant that I had not shut down anybody. I had responded to someone popping in with a nasty attitude about us posting something lighthearted, and about other axes they wanted to grind about unrelated things. It's true I was not in the mood for it, but I did not prevent that person from posting, and still haven't. So no shut down happened.
I'm a Zen Buddhist, which means "I" do not exist. I do not list my bona fides. What you see is what you get, and my point is: What people see, whether it is cogent or not, IS what they get, no matter what you do. So you just keep at it. Those who are interested will stick around. Those who want to know more will look around the site more. Those who think they might want to become more comfortable will pop in for a look once in a while. The cosmos.
This is not an insular community. There are regulars who have gotten to know each other, but new people are not shunned, or discouraged. If you come in blazing, though, you might get snapped at. That's all.
