How ironic that today, the day I chose to post another notice about my campaign, your headline reads Carteret County sells old Unilect voting machines…what an irony indeed!
I attended the DNC in 2004 in Boston as a Delegate for NC.
It was a blast…it pumped me up for the Presidential campaign of 2004!
I wanted my NC homeboy, Senator John Edwards, in the White House..one way or the other.
Instead, I was deprived of the right to have my vote counted…my vote was “lost” in the Carteret County Election Fiasco of 2004..over 4,000 missing votes…
What did I do about it?
1 – I found the Bradblog…
2 – Co-founded the Carteret Coalition for Verifiable Voting (we have new machines now with a optiscan paper ballot)
3 – Filed for office in my County…Commissioner, 3rd District, Carteret County…

I think all Arizona voters will be heartened by the use of Diebold in Pima county. We’ve been reassured:
Whew! That was close! We don’t have to worry now. The “technical staff” would never take advantage of all of those glitches. Would they?
My daughter was in England last year. She was with an English friend on their voting day & went with her while she voted. There were no machines, she said, just paper & pencils. You wrote the name of your candidate on the paper & put the paper in a wooden box.
Sounds positively revolutionary.
