The Flip-flopping flaming #1 liberal - we are familiar with him.
Kerry cannot win on his own. He has no ideas! What veep candidate wants to go down in flames with him anyway?

Bush's ideas as a candidate in 2001?
-unite not divide or screw you liberal homos I'm pres-o-dent now.
-edumacation president?
-Humility in foreign policy...Live free I'll bomb you.
-Science? What science?
-Called his brother the gov. of Texas.
-Gladly accepted money from segragationist.
-Destroyed his opposition by bringing his sanity into question and attacked his multi-racial family.
-avoided all discussion of his 40 years of failure.
No, George Bush ran in 2000 as the un-Clinton. No real ideas. Just smoke and mirrors. Too bad we all have to pay for his perfection.

Bush ran on tax cuts, "no child let behind," etc. We have spent more money on education than ever. He has requested more money for AIDS than anyone.
He is not the one dividing people, the liberals are doing that ("politics of personal destruction") and they have been doing that since Robert Bork.

So, in other words, Paul, there was nothing in my entry that was "not based in truth". Thanks for the confirmation.
John - Cleland, huh? Hmmm...interesting strategery. Not yet convinced that's the best move, but it's an interesting one, and well could be. ABG (Anyone but Gephardt!

P.S. Yes he "has requested" AIDS money in a speech. But in none of his Budgets. As usual, giving lip service to ideas and using sleight of hand to make folks believe he's actually doing something. The AIDS money, like the money to fight terrorism and aid first responders has not been sent (has been cut in fact), and "No Child Left Behind" is an unfunded Federal Mandate, the type of which Bush (when runnign for Prez) claimed he didn't believe in.
He also ran on "No Nation Building" and various Environmental Policies which - once President - he not only backed away from, he actually reversed himself upon. Or in the vernacular: He FLIP-FLOPPED upon.

Brad,
i understand but i think Cleland is good for several reasons. Just his presence on stage would cause the Cheney "gravitas" to collapse in on itself. All things being equal to 2000 a choice like Cleland would put it in the bank.
Speaking of Big Time Dick, did you see the Daily Show last night? Greatr vid of him denying that he made a statement followed up by a vid of him making the statement.
"Mr. Vice President your pants are on fire."

Funny...you were the second commenter to post about that today...and of course, by now, you've probably seen *my* own piece about it. Man did they knock it outta the park last night! Wish they posted transcripts like the news shows to make it easier to copy and paste here! His interview with the "Connection" guy was money!

Cheney is seriously on the ropes; apparently he told Leahy to go fuck himself on the floor of the senate.
i think Bush may also be losing the teflon coating. Apparently in his letter to congress invoking the War Powers act he cited collaboration between Iraq and al Qaeda relating to 911.
" I have also determined that the use of armed force against Iraq is consistent with the United States and other countries continuing to take the necessary actions against international terrorists and terrorist organizations, including those nations, organiza-tions, or persons who planned, authorized, committed, or aided the terrorist attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001."
