I don't know why there aren't twice this many protesting him being in the United States every day. The rest of the world mobilizes masses against him everywhere he shows up. That should mean WE mobilize against him, boot him out.

I like it that Bush is being dissed in India, but then you realize the a__wipe is representing US & it's sad our nation has come to this.
But WOWWWW!!!!!
I've been watching C-span (DISH 210) live at this Congressional hearing over the UAE takeover of our ports & IT IS SUPER!!! It's been going on since 2pm & now it 5pm here.
Our Representatives, both Rep & Dem, are STICKIN IT TO the Dork & the Dick!
YEAAHHH BABY!
It's great---so heartwarming to know that other citizens are hearing the dirt on them too.
They are saying that it is not right for ANY foreign company to control our ports--(YES!)
And especially not UAE, whose own port of Dubai is infamous for drugs & money laundering & terrorist harboring--which 2 of the 9/11 pigs were from UAE. Some people from UAE also murdered some world leader & when they followed the trail--it ended in UAE. And the leaders of the UAE met with Bin Laden, by helicopter, when our soldiers had him cornered in Afganistan, & when the copter left, Bin Laden was gone. (I wonder if they cramed his dialysis machine in the copter too?)
I got an education on 'Why Dubai'? ( I may not have gotten all of it straight, but the gist is correct)
Evidently, OUR Secretary of the Treasury a Mr. Snow, who had some sort of say on this UAE deal-- used to be the CEO of a big company that this UAE company bought recently & he got a huge severance package--estimated to be up to $25 million, with stock & all that--so that if this Dubai company gets richer, so does he. He didn't mention that he had a conflict of interest--then later when it was pointed out--he said he had recused himself from the decision, then he said he didn't know about it--like Bush claimed.
A second high level official in Dept of Treasury used to work for the company that the UAE company bought too.
PLUS, this UAE company gave $1 million to the Presidential library of Bush senior recently.
Plus, a large amount of money was given to The Carlyle Group from this UAE co., which is a Republican propaganda think tank, of which Bush senior used to be a member.
PLUS, why should 6.8 BILLION dollars go to a foreign company?--those jobs need to stay here--with Americans that care if we are safe--not foreigners that care only for the money.
Then they asked if any bids from AMERICAN companies were taken before giving this contract to Dubai?
It's still going on--they are RIPPING Bush & Co.
Yeah! There IS hope!

They're also saying to get out of Iraq & that Bush is not giving adequate health care for the returning vets.
They're saying Bush & Co are corrupt & they pointed out how much Halliburton stole & is still stealing.
They are saying that the pharmaceutical companies are making $139 billion from this new medicare plan for seniors & it is so confusing it can't be used. Plus seniors will have to pay a 24% increase in drug prices after May 15th if they DON'T join this plan that is nothing but a rip.
They're saying the Bush Administration is incompetant & unable to "administrate" anything--& pointing out Katrina, Rita etc.
It's great.
They're actually saying "This country is being sold off piece by piece to foreign countries" & talking about the humongous amount of money we are borrowing.

John Snow was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CSX Corporation which was bought by Dubai Ports. Also David Sanborn, a former Dubai Ports executive, was appointed as head of maritime administration in the transportation department for the bush regime.
The Carlyle group also has ties to OBL family. In the mid-1990s, George H.W. Bush joined up with the Carlyle Group. “Under the leadership of ex-officials like Baker and former Defense Secretary Frank C. Carlucci, Carlyle developed a specialty in buying defense companies and doubling or quadrupling their value. The ex-president not only became an investor in Carlyle, but a member of the company's Asia Advisory Board and a rainmaker who drummed up investors. Twelve rich Saudi families, including the Bin Ladens, were among them. In 2002, the Washington Post reported, ‘Saudis close to Prince Sultan, the Saudi defense minister ... were encouraged to put money into Carlyle as a favor to the elder Bush.’ Bush retired from the company last October, and Baker, who lobbied U.S. allies last month to forgive Iraq's debt, remains a Carlyle senior counselor. Kevin Phillips, “The Barreling Bushes; Four Generations of the Dynasty Have Chased Profits Through Cozy Ties with Mideast Leaders, Spinning Webs of Conflicts of Interest,” Los Angeles Times, January 11, 2004.
Not to wish our enemies on anyone but maybe we could get Dubai to keep king george? They took Michael Jackson for awhile and even gave him money for shopping sprees. (LOL)

All the Dems (except for a couple) voted for the extention ? They are only enabling the Repukes IMO
Don't they want to get the majority or what ?
I know, I'll fool them all and vote straight Democratic ticket come November, then they'll have to do something

Another Bush lie. "I don't think anyone anticipated the breach of the levees". Uh huh.
Tape: Bush, Chertoff Warned Before Katrina
By MARGARET EBRAHIM and JOHN SOLOMON, Associated Press Writers
59 minutes ago
WASHINGTON - In dramatic and sometimes agonizing terms, federal disaster officials warned President Bush and his homeland security chief before Hurricane Katrina struck that the storm could breach levees, put lives at risk in New Orleans' Superdome and overwhelm rescuers, according to confidential video footage.
Bush didn't ask a single question during the final briefing before Katrina struck on Aug. 29, but he assured soon-to-be-battered state officials: "We are fully prepared."

This trip has news focus, but the fascist supporters will probably not see the clues as to how America is dropping off the map.
India has a middle class population greater than the entire US population (over 300 million). They have more personal computers than the US.
Our middle class is very small compared to India.
Yet we tend to view it as a poverty stricken land in the main ... when really it is doing better than we are in some significant ways.
We can't even find thousands of Americans, many children, lost in the City of New Orleans. Yet India can handle a large population of needy and still have a middle class larger than the entire US population.
And India is a democracy whose independence was gained from the British Empire without a shot being fired by the Indian people seeking freedom.
Bush should drop his fascist ideology of trigger happiness as a way of bringing "democracy" thru shock and awe, to attaining democracy like the Indians attained it.
They wanted it so much, as any people who want freedom must, that they did a complete shutdown of the country ruled by British Imperialists thru peaceful resistance.
And they prevailed.
On the other hand the trigger happy republicans have started a process that has killed and maimed countless thousands in Iraq.
The republican "democracy" is a cover word for demockcrazy.
If we are not better off with this president than we were with Bill Clinton, then the republican controlled congress, republican controlled cabinet, republican controlled DOJ, and republican controlled white house are to blame.

The most telling portion of the clip?
"Welcoming this man will desecrate the memory of the Mahatma."
Amen.
Notice, also, that in India, the largest democracy in the world, people are free to say "Death to Bush," which, in the that culture has a different flavor to it, more like "OK, you've screwed up this life beyond all recognition. Time to shuffle off this mortal coil and come back as a maggot and see if you can get THAT right, you pathetic, perpetual screw-up."
Somebody remind me why we still bother calling ourselves "the land of the free."

Re #14
Bob,
'Somebody remind me why we still bother calling ourselves "the land of the free." '
Right. Or why we still (DOES anybody still??) say "we are a country of laws, not of men". HA! THAT'S a freaking priceless one these days!
And of course the once-noble-sounding & now pathetically sad & yet near-comic "of the people, by the people, for the people".

The facts show that the current "ameriKKKan" government is "of the republicans, by the republicans, and for the republicans".
The majority of Americans are a pain in the ass to this "gummit".

Yes, India is ahead of us in certain important ways.
But before we go off the deep end all agog over it--
remember it has major problems too.
It still has a caste system of those that HAVE (the ones we see over here are the priviledged class) & the HAVE-NOTS, people left to live & die on the streets in a box with no help while the rich literally pass them by daily & ignore them.
That's what Mother Teresa could not stand to watch while she was a nun teaching in an upper class girl's school there. She could see these families, women & children, left to literally live & die on these filthy streets, with people passing them daily & ignoring them & she, being of good heart, could not ignore them.
So SHE helped these poor neglected people, because they didn't.
Call me corny--but I am proud that the character of most Americans could NEVER let that happen, not even to the dogs in this country much less the cats, & nevermind little children.
They still have 'arranged' marriages in India too-their family chooses for them. So they marry whoever the family wants---it's like 'let's make a deal' Indian style.
Plus, they still worship cows & even though people are starving, cows---I mean COWS for godsakes---are left to wander the streets untouched because they believe cows are "sacred".
So, remember what they REALLY think & how they REALLY feel about those less fortunate than themselves, or not in their 'caste', the next time you pay for a foreign doctor's services.

WHAT......!!!! Bush to visit Ghandi's grave.....WHY....?? Maybe he thinks that he and Ghandi have something in common like "spiritual leader to millions"........what a joke. Bush wouldn't even have been deserving of licking the dust off Ghandi's bare feet...!!
Just in case El Chimpo has forgotten what Ghandi was all about, then he should be reminded of how this simple living, humble and loving man renounced all material possessions and tried to improve conditions for his fellow countrymen through non-violent peaceful means.
El Chimpo is a self-serving, money grabbing tyrant. Looks like it's just another photo-op......something he's perfected over time to cover up his shady dealings and lack of open and honest leadership of what used to be the most respected country in the world

Anyone notice that both MSM outlets conspicuously used the words "mostly Muslims" and "Muslims and Communists"... and that Amy Goodman of Democracy Now! (the last bit) actually had salient reporting? Remember what real news was like? When people did their homework? Thanks Amy for Reporting! :satisfied:

You said "It still has a caste system of those that HAVE (the ones we see over here are the priviledged class) & the HAVE-NOTS".
The American caste system is corporate and non-corporate. For instance, the "good caste" corporations get by far more government welfare than do the non-corporate caste ("bad caste") - the people. Yet the people who are on welfare are considered to be "bad".
The HAVE NOT caste in the US is growing. The percentage of wealthy has gone up consistently since WW II in the US, but has gone down in Britain.
And here many republicans worship The Dick and The Bush, and sometimes they act as dumb as cows.
There are so many myths about America I can't keep track of them anymore.
Just think, if we had used the Indian way to bring democracy, not one shot would have been fired in Iraq.
Or just think how undivided we would be, in our hundreds of warring "christian" sects, if we followed Gandhi's advice to one of his followers. His follower had killed children of a religion different from his own religion. In retaliation for that sect's killing of his children.
Gandhi counselled the follower to adopt some children from the opposing sect, and raise those children in the religion of his opponents.
Love he taught, transcends religion, politics, and he added, will bring peace.
Our president advocates trigger happiness over love happiness, and thus we are a plague upon the earth at this time.
November should be peace month where we vote the prez's republican party out of the majority.
