Still...34% is a terrible rating. 18% is ludicrous. In the downward plunge, we may have hit the upper mush-for-brains limit, but I think we still have a few slow learners to go through. 30%? 12%? This is really kind of funny.

Thanks to the Republicans for pushing HAVA through,
Both Bush & Cheney would still be elected once again if we had an election tomorrow!
One would hope that this low rating would put some starch in the Democrats shorts--
but probably not.
Did you know that Republicans introduced legislation to change the Constitution to allow Bush a THIRD term?
Oh yea, baby, believe it.

I still fear the crooked voting machines. They are still in play. They've proven out to make such numbers inconsequential, as well as previously dependable exit polling.

Good point. We must focus on the vote ... the upcoming elections.
Stalin, Hitler, Sadaam, and now The Dick and The Dork had low public approval, but great power. The Dick and The Dork have more power than Stalin, Hitler, and Sadaam combined. And they have as much popular appeal as did those dictatorial minded despots.
I am very sad that America produced a system that puts the greatest power on earth in the hands of madmen. I am glad to be a blogger on a blog that tries to come up with ways to fix it. And we do not try to cover up our government's disease.
That is why we toil here day in and day out ... we must be the media, the conscience, and the voice that gets to Americans so the American duty is done ... remove the fascists.
We know The Dick and The Dork could not have done this alone. I apologize for posting each and every committee in congress, the chair thereof, and the member count on each committee. I mean I apologize for doing it so many times lately.
But what I wanted to get across is that we have a republican dictatorship and it is destroying America. The White House is 100% republican, the congressional committee power is 100% republican, the congressional majority membership in each and every committee is 100% republican, and the Cabinet is 100% republican.
And, in the main, America hates it.
The central problem is that the rules of the congress are NOT based upon a two, three, or more party system. NO, the fact is that congress is based upon a ONE PARTY system!!! The unitary congress is a rubber stamp of the unitary president.
Yes, the majority party takes all and the minority party takes nothing but the blame.
Each and every committee and the majority vote in each and every committee is republican.
If we replace the democrats with independents, greens, libertarians , etc., NOTHING will change because the republican lock step gestapo will still be in power.
And they rubber stamp The Dick and The Dork against the wishes of the American people. It is the greatest travesty in American history, and I am very ashamed of congress.
So Bob, I also agree that democrat Clint Curtis is the type of congress person America desperately needs. The blood sucking criminal republican that he is opposing needs to go down to the pit.

Again, I have the strong sense that these '06 elections will be somehow cancelled. We all know the Rep's will not surrender the power they have achieved after three decades of nefarious plans and tricks. But their poll numbers are going to be so abysmal by November that stealing the election again won't work. And, I just don't think the MSM will go along with it again. Look at Harper's, at the Washington Post, at AP. Even the NY Times is growing a new set of balls.
Maybe they'll connive another 9/11, or a third world war. But you can bet these guys aren't going to let their poll numbers translate into loss of control of Congress.

I mean, I think Bush has proven how incompetant and useless he is in every single aspect of his life. Everything he has touched has turned into a disaster...and still people support him. There needs to be a serious study done, or a documentary, looking at WTF is wrong with these people.
That to me is the real story and the heart of every single problem America is facing right now. Find out who these people are and why they are so unbelievably stupid, eliminate the problem and you can turn America into a Utopia for ever.

They are individuals who once were decent, friendly, patriotic Americans but have been "trained" to hate "liberals" for reasons they no longer understand yet still follow. They have allowed Fox and talk radio hosts to brainwash them into thinking there are only two kinds of people, liberal and conservative. They don't really know what the difference is or if there is a difference or even if "liberal and conservative" actually mean anything. They just believe there is some kind of "us" and "them" thing and by golly, they don't want to one of them, even if the "us" group has completely abandoned the common sense values that attracted them to that forum to begin with. It is sad, because I see so many really good hearted people who are afraid to listen to reason and evaluate current events objectively for fear that kind of introspection may make them a dreaded "liberal!" It is kind of like cult thinking. They have been convinced that objective evaluation is a "sin" against their "conservative" ideology. This group makes up the common folk in that 34%. The rest our people with their hand in the cookie jar George has set on the table. They will always support him because they are among greedy folk who are lining their pockets at the expense of this great nation.

Here is an example of how a "Republican" mind works. The vote is out, but it's not what he wanted, so it's "wrong". Then, when talking about Evolution, TOTALLY misrepresents the concept. GRAND FATHER? moron.. Yet, the religious right will support them even if they are raping children (afterall, if it's good enough for priests, it's good enough for politicians, right?).
"Buttars said he doesn't believe the defeat means that most House members think Darwin's theory of evolution is correct.
"Absolutely not. It means the vote was wrong in my opinion," Buttars said. "I don't believe that anybody in there really wants their kids to be taught that their great-grandfather was an ape." "
We need a 3rd party in this country. The "Religicans".. that way, Republicans who don't support a theocracy can leave the zealots behind and get to the business of helping fix our Democracy. And the Democrats who thing a theocracy is a good thing can head over that way too. Then one party will be hailing and supporting Shrubby (that 34% would become the 3rd party, I think) while the other 2 fee to behave sanely.

"Remember the CBS fake documents?"
Oh.. and I remember the ACCUSATION that they were forged, and the firing of a news personality over it, but I ALSO remember reading that there was NO PROOF EVER produced that they were "forged". Ney, it was also stipulated over and over that the docs were "real" after the fact.
If you want to say they were "fake", support your allegation with some documentation that says it's conclusive, and not the pap we all heard from "experts" who said "this is questionable looking to me" bullshit. Show me where someone PROVED they were faked.. once you do that, I'll go dig up the articles that show how these documents were later PROVED to be REAL. Then we can sit around and bitch about "who's proof is lies"..
But, in the mean time.. FACT: Shrubby dodged the Vietnam conflict. The "fake" docs showed that, and to the best of MY knowledge, the "facts" have never been disputed, just the authenticity of the "documents" in the hands of the CBS folks. OTHER people have CONFIRMED that all the INFO in those docs was ACCURATE *shrug*

I doubt as many as 34% actually approve of Bush's performance.
Some people will say they do because they don't like polls, or they don't like the media, or they just hate liberals and see the media as liberal and Bush as unfairly treated. I was in a social setting last Saturday night and a college-educated woman was vocal about all these "Bush bashers who criticize but don't have anything constructive to say." She couldn't defend Bush's performance, so she attacks his critics.
I think the 34% figure represents anti-anti-Bush people (liberal haters) more than real pro-Bush sentiment. But the poll questioners don't make that distinction.

With the arrogance combined with the transparency of the Bush - Cheny maladministration's lies, it's not surprising their popular support is dwindling. (Too bad popular support doesn't matter so long as big money contaminating the electoral process, and lobbying activity, hold sway. :plain:
Here's what Ive been doing lately to show my support:
and yesterday, uploaded this new article I put together - it has the images of the 902nd Military Intelligence Group's TALON spreadsheet tracking peaceful antiwar and counter-recruiting groups in it, in positive and negative png images.
The article is called:
It includes a quick overview of TALON, 3 NBC reports, an earlier item from OMBWatch, and Shane Harris' February 23 2006 National Journal piece, all with links back to the originals.
. . .
If I had to give the article an overall title, it would be "Infiltrate, Intimidate, Sabotage: The US Military's Preemptive War on the First Amendment and American Citizens"
The last section traces the continuity of operations of domestic infiltration and suppression (ah, and assassination, believe it or not) from COINTELPRO and CHAOS in the 1960's through a project called MUSIC until today's TIA, BASKETBALL, and TALON spying efforts. It has links into a recent work of mine breaking a 30 year silence on certain aspects of this story.
I hope You find these resources useful.

"Exit polling is by far the most accurate form of polling. In thirty years I've never seen an exit poll be wrong." - Dick Morris
Morris eventually claimed, even though it it so ridiculously unfounded, that the exit polls were sabotaged in Kerry's favor, so that Dick didn't have to admit that the only places exit polls were wrong was where these hack-able machines were in use, all discrepencies favoring Bush.
Morris is not a stupid man. You can bet your money he knows better. He knows that exit polling organizations depend on their own accuracy to maintain credibility, reliability, and to stay in business. This is why Morris has always sworn by exit polling...
...So, Dick avoids stating the obvious - exit polling is, traditionally, accurate, and it was in 2004 also, (as usual). The machines are crooked, not Zogby, et al...

The fact that Bush never completed his so-called "service" is true.
(Bush had to take a test to qualify to be able to train as a pilot & he scored ONE point above the cutoff. I wonder how much bribe money his family had to pay to get that one extra point?)
Some of the usual papers that are in every service man's file were missing from Bush's file is also true.
But, word was that the documents CBS aired WERE fake.
Carl Rove arranged it all to take the heat off Bush & all the questions about his service record.
It worked like this--
Rove puts some guy up to contacting CBS with the fakes &, admittedly, CBS was too exuberant over their find to check their authenticity thoroughly.
When they aired the piece, the Republicans pointed out the documents were fake--& the scandal was on.
From then on, everytime Bush's service record was brought up--the Republicans could say 'You know those documents were proven fakes--why do you keep asking?'
It effectively took all the heat off Bush's record.

So do you think that democrats, independents, greens, libertarians, or any other American political party have any chairmanship of any congressional committee or any majority of votes on any congressional committee?
Do you think that congressional committees are managed or controlled by any party other than the republicans?
If so I would like to know, because I pride myself in being factually accurate. Once I am factually accurate then I am in a position to make factual arguments.
In the absence of that I am just arguing. That I choose not to do.
Likewise when party x has all control, I like to blame them for the results of what they have done. I do not like to blame anyone for not stopping them.
As a father of children and a grandfather of grandchildren, I do not blame one of the children for not stopping one of the others from doing wrong. Instead I chasten the wrongdoer so that the wrongdoer does not develop a habit of blaming others for his or her own wrongs.

Hello--
It appears that Bush & Co are in the process
of self-destructing. Sadly, and ironically we didn't
have much to do with it. It is they, themselves
with their pious improprieties, and sleazy behaviors
and horrific policies that have brought them down.
I think that these issues should be raised again.

up their filth for Pa.
