Michelle Pilecki at Huff Po picks up on last week’s story alleging that Ann Coulter committed a third-degree felony recently by voting in a precinct other than the one where her “$1.8 million crib on Seabreeze Avenue” in Palm Beach County reportedly is. She says it’s a lie. The reporter who wrote the story says it’s not:
There is no doubt whatshowever that Ann Coulter lives in Palm Beach. The deed is in her name. Her neighbor is Bill Brooks, a town councilman in Palm Beach who knows her well and sees her across the fence sometimes daily. Her publicist last year confirmed that she was moving because of stalkers and, finally, her lawyer called me last year when I wrote the story about her moving to Palm Beach because she was unhappy we reported the name of the street she lives on. Never mind that it’s two miles long and has at least 100 homes on it. And finally, a woman who looks just like Ann Coulter, whose name is Ann Coulter and who acted like Ann Coulter voted in Palm Beach last week.
So, her statement to your reader is absolutely a bold-faced lie.
UPDATE 3/30/06: The Palm Beach Election Supervisor jumps in, and gives Coulter 30 days to explain herself before possibly referring felony charges to the State Attorney. Details here…

Someone is already investigating this..I wonder if the press will keep that issue alive at all? If they charge her with voter fraud, it’d be interesting she goes to jail and no one records the story.

She can deny all she wants – she either lives in Palm Beach or she doesn’t. If she DOES, then she committed fraud. Period.
And if she DOESN’T live there, I’m SURE she didn’t give that address to the DMV, because you have to give your new address within 30 days (in most states) or you’re breaking the law.
And if she DOESN’T live there, I’m SURE she didn’t take a deduction on that residence for income tax purposes – because she KNOWS that would be ILLEGAL too.

If it is a felony then a grand jury is required to indict her (5th Amendment).
Secondly, Jeb Bush and Tom Feeney have a lot of power over republican prosecutors. And any democratic prosecutor would be accused of being partisan.
A grand jury proceeding should remove some of the partisan taint, no matter what party a prosecutor would belong to.
So, if the facts are right and the MSM gets wind of it, it could get some action. But I doubt it will.

Her address, just like anyone else’s is public record and available for viewing at the Palm Beach "County Recorder" (that’s what they are called in CA; may have a different name in FL, but functions the same) where you can obtain copies of the deed to her house and mortgage papers for a nominal fee. She loves to publish other people’s addresses I hear, so everyone just run on down and obtain copies of her private shit just like anyone else. Public records are, after all, just that- Public. After you get a copy of the mortgage papers and other records you can order a title search on the property and find out what liens there are and a whole bunch of other stuff. On her mortgage papers you will most likely find her phone numbers for home and her work address and phone numbers. Having been a professional bounty hunter for fifteen years in my younger days I learned just how easy it is to obtain information on anyone you choose.
Someone is already investigating this, period.
And I advise people like Dredd to stop once and for all painting it as republicans doing everything, because there are plenty of democrats in florida who are just as corrupt.

I think Ann Coulter must be nuts for opening up herself to a felony charge. If jailed she could be stripped searched, then we would really know if she’s a Man or Woman. I think I remember seeing someone who looked like her performing as a Drag Queen in KW Florida many year ago. She’s attractive enough, so if there is a little penis still laying dormat down there, the boys in Cell Block C will have a real good time with her. If she did lie on her voter application form, she should definitely be prosecuted.
