I just realized, when Bush said "Mission Accomplished", it was absolutely true. From their point of view, they accomplished endless war against a word for the perpetual profits of the Corporate American military complex! From their point of view, it WAS truely "Mission Accomplished!" No one gets that...he wasn't talking about the Iraq War...

If the Dems were smart, and they aren't, they'd run Clint unopposed in the primary, and FORCE a Clint vs. Feeney showdown. Let's check out the guy who's running against Clint. (see Sheehan/Hackett for more info on Dem's inept strategied)
We should bombard the DNC & Clint's opponent with emails not to run. There's a 100% chance Clint's Dem opponent will win, and then they will say, "Even their own party doesn't want him"...with a hacked primary.

WHITTINGTON FOUGHT OFF EMINENT DOMAIN BETTER THAN CHENEY
SARAH COPPOLA, AMERICAN-STATESMAN, TX, JAN 28 - Six years ago, Austin condemned a downtown block Whittington's family owned to build a $10.5 million parking garage. Whittington's been fighting the city ever since. He racked up two legal victories last year, and on Friday racked up a third: The Texas Supreme Court denied the city's request to hear an appeal, which basically re-affirms a prior ruling in Whittington's favor.
The city law department, which has spent $387,000 on the case, doesn't plan to throw in the towel just yet. It can and will choose from two options, Austin's chief of litigation, Anne Morgan, said: Ask the state Supreme Court again to hear the case or argue the case in a county court trial, which Austin never had a chance to do.
Bring it on, says Whittington, who seems unfazed at having spent "hundreds of thousands of dollars" on his legal fees. He says his winning streak should give comfort to property owners unnerved by a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision in favor of city condemnations. "This," Whittington, 78, said of his lawsuit, "shows how the judicial system should work if you stay with it."
Whittington's family, which owned the block on Red River between Fourth and Fifth streets since 1980, wanted to develop the lot into apartments or shops. But the city had other ideas: building a 700-space garage for visitors to the nearby convention center and Sixth Street, and a $19.3 million chiller to cool nearby buildings.

Chappaquiddick
On July 18, 1969, after a party on Chappaquiddick Island near the island of Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, Kennedy, allegedly intoxicated, a claim which he denies, drove away with Mary Jo Kopechne as a passenger in his 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88. According to Kennedy, he made a wrong turn onto an unlit road that led to Dike Bridge (also spelled Dyke Bridge), a wooden bridge that was angled obliquely to the road, and drove over its side, which had no guardrail. The car plunged into tide-swept Poucha Pond (at that location a channel) and landed upside down under the water. Kopechne died, but as no autopsy was performed, precise cause of death is unknown. Kennedy claims he tried several times to swim down to reach her, then rested on the bank for several minutes before returning on foot to the Lawrence Cottage, where the party attended by Kopechne and other "boiler room girls" had occurred.
Joseph Gargan (Kennedy's cousin) and party co-host Paul Markham then returned to the pond with Kennedy to try to rescue Kopechne. Though there was a telephone at the Lawrence Cottage, nobody called for help. When their efforts to rescue Kopechne failed, Kennedy decided to return to his hotel on the mainland. As the ferry had shut down for the night, Kennedy swam the short distance back to Edgartown.
Kennedy discussed the accident with several people, including his lawyer, before he contacted the police.
The next morning (July 19, 1969) the police recovered Kennedy's car. Kopechne's body was discovered by diver John Farrar, who observed that a large amount of air was released from the car when it was righted in the water, and that the trunk, when opened, was remarkably dry. These observations and others have led some to believe that Kopechne had not drowned, but suffocated in an air pocket within the car.
The incident quickly blossomed into a scandal. Kennedy was criticized for allegedly driving drunk, for failing to save Kopechne, for failing to summon help immediately and for contacting not the police but rather his lawyer first.
Kennedy entered a plea of guilty to a charge of leaving the scene of an accident after causing injury. He received a sentence of two months in jail, which was suspended. An Edgartown grand jury later reopened the investigation but did not return an indictment.

Saddam Reportedly Warned U.S. of Terrorism
By GERALD NADLER
Associated Press Writer
NEW YORK (AP) --- Saddam Hussein told aides in the mid-1990s that he warned the United States it could be hit by a terrorist attack, ABC News reported Wednesday, citing 12 hours of tapes the network obtained of the former Iraqi dictator's talks with his Cabinet.
....
The coming terrorist attack Saddam predicted could involve weapons of mass destruction.
"Terrorism is coming. I told the Americans," Saddam is heard saying, adding he "told the British as well."
.....
Charles Duelfer, who led the official U.S. search for weapons of mass destruction, told ABC News the tapes show extensive deception but don't prove that weapons were still hidden in Iraq at the time of the U.S.-led war in 2003....

Kira is alive and well, but on self imposed hiatus. She has a heart of gold, and researched relentlessly all of the corruption and things going on with the Bush Crime family and in the world.
I can say for myself (running my own site), it is quite heartbreaking to know all that is going on. Sometimes, it gets to be too much, and I say with deep friendship, knowing all we do that it was overwhelming to Kira and also myself.
I can call her from time to time and do, to check on her. She is fine. She sounded really good when I talked to her a a couple weeks ago.
I hope she rejoins us all soon. I REALLY do miss her.

additional info on The Saddam Tapes [[sounds like the title of that play by Penn Jillette, "Love Tapes"]]
""In the future, what would prevent a booby trapped car causing a nuclear explosion in Washington or a germ or a chemical one?" Saddam said.
But he insisted Iraq would never launch such an attack. "This story is coming, but not from Iraq," he said. "
=================
oh no, not "from"... to.
So let me get this straight --- in 1996, on verified audiotape, Hussein actually says that he warned the U.S. that terrorism was on its way, and also states flatly that it won't be from him. So when Bush read that PDB on Aug. 6, 2001 entitled "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S." he leapt out of his seat and launched into action, marshalling the forces to protect the people.
oh wait. that didn't happen.
So anyway, these tapes independently corroborate what those against the Iraq War have said all along: Hussein was not an "imminent threat". He is a psychopathic bastard with delusions of grandeur who would have loved to try, but he was no threat to the U.S.
Interesting timing, considering the unusual turns "leak" stories have taken in the last five years. I wonder how long these tapes have been in the government's possession; anybody want to hazard a guess?

When Cheney got heat for not speaking about the "shooting a 78 year old in the face thing", did you think he'd do it by:
1. A live q&a in front of many reporters?
2. A taped statement on FOX News?
This proves beyond a doubt, that this administration uses FOX News when they want to appear that they are being "up front" in the media. When they need propoganda, it's FOX News. Even if it was FOX News "Lite" (CNN), it would've at least appeared more up front (although it would'nt have been). When it needs to be 100% pro-Bush/Cheney, there is 100% chance it will be FOX News, the Bush administration's #1 "go-to" station for propoganda.
Yesterday on the way home from work, I turned on Bill O'Reilly, and he said the ACLU is to blame for the riots about the Muslim cartoons. A caller pointed out that the ACLU case is still in court and the ACLU didn't release these pictures. The Australians did. And people like Ricky are walking around in a fog with disinformation from the likes of O'Reilly. Can someone actually sue O'Reilly for spreading false information? Your readers have theories about Cheney purposefully shooting his friend for god knows what reason and get their news from comedians You dont have a single branch of government and the High court will soon be overwhelmingly conservatiive, not just slightly as it is now.
My party has it all, your party has nothing. Why? Because my party represents the majority of Americans, your party continues to shrink.
Desperation? ROFLMAO. Try winning something before you claim victory. ANYTHING AT ALL! HAHAHAH
The best part is, when people hear your kook fringe, we gain more ground. The more libs lose, the louder they get and the louder they get, the more Americans run away from libs.

In those tapes from circa 1994 Saddam reveals that he was not going to attack America, but that terrorist was going to increase and those terrorists might try to hit America.
The distortions neoCons, in their guilt an shame for getting it wrong, would put upon these tapes are as distorted as their legal theories for spying on American citizens without warrants.

You continue to spin your ignorance about law.
Of the two types of mind involved in The Dick (apologies to The Donald) shooting are negligence and intentional.
You do a typical deceptive spin by using the words "purposefully shooting his friend" when "purposefully" is not a term of art. It is a hokey and uninformed word that obfuscates.
If Cheney was found by a jury, to have acted negligently, he would be liable.
In the law "intent follows the bullet", so if he shot at a rock and it ricochetted and hit another person, he "intended" to hit the person because intent follows the bullet (link here).
So either way he could be liable in a lawsuit. It is the province of the jury to decide the issue, but the fact is that under law he intended to shoot the victim, but could still be exonerated if he was not negligent.
It is not as simple as fondling yourself as you memorize republican talking points in front of the mirror.

That Cheney interview was beyond a joke as far as I'm concerned. I've never seen anything so obviously disingenuous in my life. Hahaha. Whoooeee.
1) He pretends to have a "flashback" seeing his friend fall and says it's something he'll have to live with forever." Right, like a true veteran of war. Well, unfortunately, his eyes did not really hold a vision. It was a made-up statement. Nice try though. Hahahahahaw.
2) He pretends to be shaken like it just happened. Yeah, right. 4 days later, no big deal, friend is ok, sure, he's scarred now. Hahahaha. Heh heh heh.
3) He describes how it "actually" happened and the text of his description is soooooooo rehearsed it is pathetic. He emphasizes words like "right" and "left" as he's pretending to be talking off the cuff. Hahahahah. Hoooohoooohoo.

It is a republican prison, where republican torture, republican "hold them without charges", republican "hold them without being able to contact anyone", republican "let them go without explanation every once in awhile", republican "we are just spreading democracy", and other republican lies take place.
Yes, republicans have done it all. They lied to get all the power, and then killed, maimed, destroyed, and slandered the reputation of America.
Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, and secret roving torture prisons are republican creations. Ten thousand abodes for Katrina victims still lay unoccupied in Arkansas, far from the homeless victims of Katrina.
Homeless because republicans would not give the corp of engineers enough money to fix the levees when asked to. The republican congress rubber stamped the "no you can't have the money to fix the levees" retort of the republican white house.
Its a republican party that is taking place at the expense of Americans, and they want us to pay the bill for their drunken, crazed, and corrupt party.
In November of this very year we will show them how much we appreciate their lies and deception.

Whistleblower says NSA violations bigger
WASHINGTON, Feb. 14 (UPI) --- "A former NSA employee said Tuesday there is another ongoing top-secret surveillance program that might have violated millions of Americans' Constitutional rights.
Russell D. Tice told the House Government Reform Subcommittee on National Security, Emerging Threats and International Relations he has concerns about a "special access" electronic surveillance program that he characterized as far more wide-ranging than the warrentless wiretapping recently exposed by the New York Times but he is forbidden from discussing the program with Congress.
Tice said he believes it violates the Constitution's protection against unlawful search and seizures but has no way of sharing the information without breaking classification laws. He is not even allowed to tell the congressional intelligence committees - members or their staff - because they lack high enough clearance.
Neither could he brief the inspector general of the NSA because that office is not cleared to hear the information, he said...."

On the reverse side of the coin, everything they do that DOES affect the general public, affects the general public in a BAD WAY! Why isn't the MSM reporting on this???
The Republicans DO NOT represent the general public...they STOLE elections...they were NOT VOTED INTO MAJORITY...they are NOT HELD ACCOUNTABLE for lying and breaking laws, by the MSM or our government.
Read this: Cheney LIED when he tesfified (not under oath, by the way...see Gonzalez), when he told authorities that, "Cheney was interviewed by federal prosecutors investigating the Plame Wilson leak and testified that neither he nor any of his senior aides were involved in unmasking her undercover CIA status to reporters and that no one in the vice president's office had attempted to discredit her husband, a vocal critic of the administration's pre-war Iraq intelligence. Cheney did not testify under oath or under penalty of perjury when he was interviewed by federal prosecutors. "

Here's an example of what I'm talking about with your "illustrious leaders" and the "crimes" they are involved in. See, they LIED to get us into Iraq because they KNEW Iraq had NOTHING TO DO WITH TERRORISTS, and they KNEW Saddam was no threat.. but they wanted in anyway. So, they LIED to get us there, then destroyed the career of a DEDICATED AMERICAN WORKING TO PROTECT US ALL.. and they did it for SPITE.
Nice heros you have there, Ricky.. right up there with Dr. Mengela and Ghangus Khan..

Na, JoJ.. he's here trying to incite. He's not shown one bit of a glimmer of hope. He keeps spitting up talking points, but doesn't bother to offer any original thoughts, or even arguments to substantiate his points.
Nor does he ever concede a point when he's clearly wrong, just stops talking or rebuts with more pap..

Just as we waste too much time worrying about Ann Coulter, we spend too much time arguing with Ricky.

Amen, RLM, with one qualification: Keep an eye open to the point that Coulter's maniacal patter is being bought by thousands upon thousands of "Rickys". The audience empowers the individual.

Bob, I think that's about 10% of the American people. We're always going to have that many weirdos to deal with. If Ricky doesn't get his ideas from Ann Coulter, he'll get them from Rush Limbaugh or Gordon Liddy or Ollie North or some other right-winger with cereal for brains.
Why not leave that fringe group to masturbate with one another?

RLM: I, like you, lump the whole phenomenon together, and do nor single out Ms. Coulter as a substantial threat, herself alone. I, however, do have a gut-feeling it's not as "fringe" as I (or you) would like it to be.
The numbers being 10% might be debated, with this corrupt administration that pulled off two successful elections, and the main-stream media's powers-that-be, also leaning that way.
This "10%" has created (1) Fox News, (2) the neo-MSM, (3) the long list of substantially popular neocon commentators/writers (of which Coulter is just one), (4) the rise-to-power of this montrosity-of-an administration, (5) etc....
This is the most virile "10%" of my lifetime, if not in history.
Ann Coulter, alone, is a crackpot (as are all those others you've mentioned)...but, she is not alone.
Could she be the next "Hitler" (not necessarily any individual, but a power-mongering group)? Not possible. Could she aid in creating a new "Hitler", along with all the other neocon "cereal-for-brains"?
You appear to think not. I, respectfully, disagree. The tidal wave is made of many harmless drops of water, and Ms. Coulter is merely one of its minor crests, but I would urge people to not disregard her, because she's certainly a vocal part of the "whole".
Until the "pie-throwers" outnumber the cheerleaders in her audiences, I consider it wise to take note of those gathered masses who are enriching, and believing her!
I would be perfectly content to allow that fringe group to masturbate with one another, as long as you and I don't, ultimately, get drowned in the flow.

For Bob Bilse and Everyone: I meant to suggest that Ricky and his talking-point Republican friends represent only 10% of the population, if that high.
Obviously, Republican voters constitute a much higher percentage...but not 50%, because they've stolen two elections.
Fox Network is a product of Rupert Murdoch's fortune. It's leading in the ratings, but its overall audience, as a percentage of the total population, is small (I think less than 10%). That's because of competition from both cable and network channels and because millions of people have stopped watching TV to get their news. Likewise, Coulter, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, etc. have large followings in relative terms, but not in real numbers (see above).
Bush is around 40% approval (actually a bit under).
The Fox Network/Coulter/Limbaugh group are basically just liberal haters; they don't necessarily think Bush is a good president, they just like to throw out talking points to frustrate liberals. If we assume this group is 10%, then it's easy to see where Bush's 40% support comes from:
10%---Fox Network viewers/Limbaugh-Coulter fans
20%---Traditional Republicans who vote with their wallets and pocketbooks, plus military families who mistakenly think Bush is their friend (changing fast)
10%---Religious fanatics whose pastors have told them Bush was sent by God to save America, plus single-issue zealots (abortion, gay rights, the flag).
