Bush's SOTU will just be more bullshit from the master liar. Whatever he says, I always assume it's a lie and automatically think the opposite.
Take Bush's latest move... "promoting" the lead prosecutor in the Abramhoff case to a federal judgeship. Yea, right, like I believe that bullshit! W has to be held accountable for what he's doing to this country.
I'm watching Christ Matthews now and he's trying to spin the appointment as a natural move because two Democrats from New Jersey recommended the promotion. Yea, right!
Bush is getting rid of the guy because he's breathing too close to the White House. When are people going to wake up?

I am down with the sentiment, and so want the hoodie in solidarity with that. Eminem symbolizes to me much of what is ugliest in our society. All this music calls to my mind is spiritually-broken thugs swinging dicks and embracing drive-bys, and excusing themselves for it because oligarchs are corrupt, EVEN when the video is about rising from it to impose peace and truth on lying war-mongers. The soundtrack to "Ghost Dog", and, actually, the content of the movie, is the only time this genre has called anything transcendent to my mind. I'm not hopelessly square. I want the REAL America to stand up, for once, and I really have my doubts about this very popular lightweight pulling us up.
I just got done, over at Princeton's lecture site, listening to another very popular lightweight, Hillary Clinton, and am SO appalled by her rhetoric, her politics, her disingenuousness, her wooden delivery, that it makes me want that hoodie even more.

An artistic expression to speak out against the BUSHIT. Strong imagery and words that do what good music and art do..connect to both sides of the brain in a deeper connection than say just words alone. Agent 99: You have produced what songs in opposition to the actions of the Bushit administration??? Released what interviews or statements to anyone? It's nice to want action, or great leaders but instead of being another American watching the news to get the word handed down on what your elected government is doing, remember that on January 27, 2006 your actions and political activism is still of great importance. It's pretty damn easy to sit back and and take shots as "follower." To simply criticize one of the few voices standing tall in opposition to the corrupt Bushit corporate lying murderous machine because you can't relate to an alienation you don't understand makes you look weak to me. Why don't you try leading Mr. Real American?

Wonder what the neoCons have prepared for the foolish this time?

Great song, but came out to late! Why didn't he act sooner when it could have counted?
Why isn't he doing an impeachment song now?

OK maybe he'll reach a few. The first version came out to late, this one is late too.
Where's the song for people to hit the streets saying impeach now? We need it out yesterday!
The main thing is that we need to hit the streets in masses demanding impeachment so that our pussy representatives will have the balls to do what should have been done long ago!
And impeachment should not only be on the spying, it should be on lying to congress about the war, making up evidence, steeling the election, robbing the American coffers to give it to his rich friends (that's a crime), cutting help to poor Americans because his friends don't make money on it, destroying our environment purposfully, etc..........

That song Mosh (from the album Encore) has been out for a long time. It's at least a year old. Eminem has rapped some pretty outrageous and ugly things, but he's expressing his experience (as artists do) AND he learns from mistakes in the process. I like him, and I have his albums. Plus, the kids do listen to him - and when they listen to MOSH they understsand they are getting screwed.

Ada.. dude.. stop multi-posting.. if it looks like it didn't go through, copy your text and relaod the page before you try to submit it again..
As for the song.. I despise eminem.. But I liked most of that message.. some of his rhymes suck, but most of it was very fluid and very motivating.. I think the one thing I'd have done differently was shown a LOT more "troops getting the re-deploy letter".. show the first one slow and full, like he did.. then a few more over like 2 seconds, then flash about 100 secenes in a few seconds.. then the same with the eviction notice.. What -most- people don't get, sitting in their cozy houses and driving their SUVs (and I'm guilty of that, but after having been homeless for 2 years at one point I feel I've actually worked hard and invested in myself to get here) is that near 40% of our soceity barely get their bills paid, and do NOT live in cozy houses driving SUVs.. they live in crappy conditions driving (if they are very lucky) 10 - 15 year old beaters. The rich elite don't care about them at all, and "middle america" ignores them for fear they are going to fall down there next and don't want to be reminded of what's there.
I have a serious problem with the mentality of most people caught in the Culture of Poverty. But I don't fault them for being there, it's not their fault.. And, given the intelligence of the "average person", they can't do much about it without serious changes in our system. The problem is, the change is something the rich and right-wing don't want. We have to eliminate the culture of "greed" in our society. The mentality of "I'm gettin mines!". Corperate Executives have it, gang bangers have it, soccer moms have it.. and it's destroying the 40 - 50 million lives (in this country alone) so that a few million can be uber rich.
The scary thing is, if we don't put a stop to this NOW, do something to fix this NOW, our entire country will decend into the Culture of Poverty when our economy totally breaks down and the rich elite bail to some EU country to run their businesses.

On what evidence do you make this statement? Not challenging or disagreement, just asking you to support your case.

Eminem is not my usual taste, but I REALLY LIKE THIS SONG!
Hey, I'm sure my parents hated hearing "War Pigs" and some of the other anti-war songs over and over too. *grinz*
Music is one of the most powerful mediums to reach people, and it has been a strong force, and a voice, especially in my younger years, in creating the person I have become.
I've found that most people tend to underestimate the young people that surround us. I love listening to them - they really do have something important to say! They have strength, and they have passion - and sooner than we think, they will have power.
Most of them are more aware of what's going on around them than we give them credit for. And it's their lives that will be on the line when the draft kicks in.
And, though my hoodie is dark gray instead of black, and I wear it more for comfort than for a statement - my son knows how I feel about this war and this President, and he gets what I'm saying.
He writes songs too, and he shares them with me. His voice is different from mine, but the message is just as relevant to his time and his concerns.
Whatever it takes to wake up the masses, I say USE IT!!
There is hope - the future is in good hands

BTW, in case anyone wants to read the lyrics, click here:
My son just told me that Eminem is retiring - gave up his music for his wife (he just remarried his ex-wife) and his child.
People do change, and people do grow up and figure out what really matters in life. Let's hope it's for real - for the sake of his family.
