Commenters at the Yahoo message board for DBD are pissed that O’Dell is (apparently, haven’t verified, but…) the COO, president, CEO and chairman of Diebold. Wow! I think O’Dell is looking to replicate the success of Enron. Go get’em boy!
I live in Hocking Co., Ohio, you remember the county in which a Triad Tech tampered with the tabulator just before the official recount, the deputy director caught him and blew the whistle. The whistle blower, Sherole Eaton was subsequently fired. We’ve been fighting to get her job back. Due to this endeavor I enter the Board of Elections often, usually daily, sometimes several times a day, asking questions, getting proof that voter registrants records had been illegally shredded, asking for contracts with Triad and Diebold (which have not been given to me) It seems the Triad contract has been ‘misplaced’ and there is no contract in the office for Diebold. I found this strange. Even more strange, two weeks ago, I noticed a young man working in the back room of the Board of Elections. The back room has our computer and voter tabulator. This is the same room the Triad Tech was caught tampering with the hard drive., etc. I thought I recognized him as a court house employee, and said nothing. After seeing him several times, I asked who is he and what is he doing, as I watched him working with a computer and many wires and cables. I was told by director Schwartze that his name was ‘Chad’ and he worked for Diebold. I siad, "HE WORKS FOR DIEBOLD AND IS IN THAT BACK ROOM WITHOUT ANY OBSERVERS? What on earth is he doing in that back room, unsupervised with the tabulator machine." (The law requires that the tabulator remain unchanged or un-tampered with for 22 months after an election. )
I wanted to know why he was here, and why he was in that back room alone. She said he’d be in Hocking Co. for 2 years, assisting the county with our new voting machines. I asked if he worked in other counties and was told ‘no’ I asked to speak with Chad. I learned his name and his hometown, and that he is a ‘sub-contractor’ for Diebold. I asked, "Sub-contractor? What do you mean, what sub contractor?" He said he worked for a temporary agency. I asked which one, he replied, "Coast to Coast." I’ve looked up Coast to Coast, they are listed as "A minority owned temporary agency" located in Phoenix, Az. I’m trying to learn if Diebold has these ‘sub contractors’ in all counties who chose their trustworthy machines. Does anyone know anything about this? Something’s been wrong in this county since the election. Probably before the election. The recount was a joke, the rules weren’t followed. Triad (our former voter maching contractor) apparently suggested posting a cheat sheet on the wall so the recount would come out right. Come out right for whom?
If anyone lives in Ohio and the county Board of Elections has chosen Diebold, maybe you should check to see if you have a ‘sub-contractor’ from Diebold working in your office and why. I’ll keep trying to learn as much as I can here. Trying to get information from these arrogant people is a full time job.

Sounds like a job for the six or seven squad….Can you make sure you aren’t followed, bring one of those hidden digi-cams in and record video of this guy chad doing what he’s doing to the machines?
Take the video and then run….then take the pictures of the machine itself.
That proof can be used in court to force these guys to be deposed and then find out what the hell they are doing there with those machines……then, the Diebold GEMS or whatever it is they run can be ripped open and the code can be inspected…..Brad or someone could completely blow open the Ohio fraud.
So Karla are you or someone near there willing to do it? It could be the beginning of the end of the Ohio charade…..COURAGE comes in small people!

Early today I watched the ‘Spector House’ Able Danger hearings on CSPAN.
I watched closely, because at 8am, my cell was buzzing, a call from a friend. I had asked him to get some clarification on Shaffer’s story that Rummy told ’em not to testify. The word I got from him was that contrary to popular knowledge, Rummy didn’t pull the plug on the witnesses, it came from "Cobweb", which is just a little – OK, a lot higher up the chain.

Well…I have a sinking feeling Cheney’ll be pardoned by his puppet-in-chief for any of his crimes…unless Bush is impeached…then Cheney’ll pardon himself!
Yes, I’m very close, just a few minutes away. It’s almost turned into a full time job trying to find out what is going on in this county, before and after the election. I won’t give up, I won’t quit until someone answers some questions. I want to know why they chose diebold, many months before a decision needed to be made, why they didn’t even bother to go to the ES&S demonstration. I’ve written letters to the editor about this, tried to get the local newspaper to cover the meetings to record the questions and answers, but they don’t come. It’s so frustrating because most people have no idea what’s going on. We’ve had people from ‘Backbone’ in Columbus come to Logan and we’ve had protests against the board and rallies of support for Sherole Eaton in the little park across the street from the court house before the board meets and then all attend the meeting. Nothing is working.
I’ll have to wait until the board decides to meet again to ask who and why is Chad working full time in the Board of Elections, at the direction of Diebold.

Oh! This is excellent news. Now, we must continue working to erode the perception of viability of these systems. Diebold machines must be DE-CERTIFIED.
I intend to step up my efforts at the local level, to encourage my Registrar of Voters, as well as the County Supervisors to eliminate the Diebold Voting Systems equipment from our voting process. Considering our impending "special election" in a few weeks, now is the time to take advantage of the momentum that both Shelley and McPherson have started here in California.
