We'll turn them all against you Bush fraud....
Congress
Its time to wake these stupid veterans up, about the harsh reality of wars based on lies fighting terrorists who were CREATED by the USA and breeding destruction everywhere.
"NEW YORK The American Legion, which has 2.7 million members, has declared war on antiwar protestors, and the media could be next. Speaking at its national convention in Honolulu, the group's national commander called for an end to all “public protests” and “media events” against the war, even though they are protected by the Bill of Rights.
"The American Legion will stand against anyone and any group that would demoralize our troops, or worse, endanger their lives by encouraging terrorists to continue their cowardly attacks against freedom-loving peoples," Thomas Cadmus, national commander, told delegates at the group's national convention in Honolulu.
The delegates voted to use whatever means necessary to "ensure the united backing of the American people to support our troops and the global war on terrorism."
In his speech, Cadmus declared: "It would be tragic if the freedoms our veterans fought so valiantly to protect would be used against their successors today as they battle terrorists bent on our destruction.”
He explained, "No one respects the right to protest more than one who has fought for it, but we hope that Americans will present their views in correspondence to their elected officials rather than by public media events guaranteed to be picked up and used as tools of encouragement by our enemies." This might suggest to some, however, that American freedoms are worth dying for but not exercising.
Without mentioning any current protestor, such as Cindy Sheehan, by name, Cadmus recalled: "For many of us, the visions of Jane Fonda glibly spouting anti-American messages with the North Vietnamese and protestors denouncing our own forces four decades ago is forever etched in our memories. We must never let that happen again….
"We had hoped that the lessons learned from the Vietnam War would be clear to our fellow citizens. Public protests against the war here at home while our young men and women are in harm's way on the other side of the globe only provide aid and comfort to our enemies."
Resolution 3, which was passed unanimously by 4,000 delegates to the annual event, states: "The American Legion fully supports the president of the United States, the United States Congress and the men, women and leadership of our armed forces as they are engaged in the global war on terrorism and the troops who are engaged in protecting our values and way of life."
Cadmus advised: "Let's not repeat the mistakes of our past. I urge all Americans to rally around our armed forces and remember our fellow Americans who were viciously murdered on Sept. 11, 2001." "
War on protestors over war of lies
Its time to tell these sorry veterans what kind of "war" is really being waged, and how we're not safer than ever before and the real terrorists are amassing elsewhere while we plunge a country that had nothing related to 9/11 into death.
It is time to wake these people up, and get them to stop defecating on the bill of rights!

I just wrote a letter of support for Cindy Sheehan, which was printed in my local paper. John Conyers wants 1,000 letters to local papers like this. Please do your part, and prove the "silent majority" (us) is getting louder than the "vocal minority" (rightwingers).

It goes to show how many uninformed Americans DO NOT know the truth and or believe what the corporate owned Bushit administration run mass media tells them. The leader of the nazi propaganda machine is alive and still living in the White House. He goes by the name of Carl Rove. Then you get bloggers like that "Paul" who's plainly a Bushit boot licking dumbass. He's gonna antaganize people involved in removing a corrupt government and an anti-war movement with his moronic dribble to prove this type of dumbass exists.

Their operative phrase now is "support Bush and the troops".
It's an insult to the intelligence of our troops, implying they can't separate a protest against Bush from protesting them. And it's an insult to imply that protesting Bush is protesting the troops.
That's a good strategy they have, that won't work, if we're aware of it. Watch out for the "support Bush & the troops" phrase!
How long will "pro-war" protestors stay in the trenches protesting? I'll bet my life that it won't be as long as Cindy Sheehan's protestors! They have their hearts in it. The anti-war protestors don't have their hearts in it, and will not outlast the anti-war protestors. How many of these bussed-in pro-war protestors were the same conservatives bussed-in to protest the recount in the 2000 Florida election? Can someone interview some of these people? When the money and their comfort runs out, so will they. But that's not what the Cindy Sheehan protestors are there for...they will outlast them!!! Bank on it!!! NO WAY WILL THE PRO-WAR PROTESTORS "STAY THE COURSE"! Just wait and see...

Doug,
I'm sure the American Legion has done some good throughout the years, but it's par for the course for them, unfortunately. They said practically the same thing during the Vietnam War. They may have been good soldiers, but they don't seem to have a clue of what they are supposed to be defending.
Fortunately, there are terrific veterans organization such as Veterans Against the War and Iraq Veterans Against the War, and Vietnam Veterans Against the War who will be growing by leaps and bounds, I have a feeling. They will also play a big role - maybe decisive, along with women and mothers - (and already are) in ending this monstrous crime.
""We had hoped that the lessons learned from the Vietnam War would be clear to our fellow citizens. " - I certainly hope so.
"I urge all Americans to rally around our armed forces and remember our fellow Americans who were viciously murdered on Sept. 11, 2001." " --- Can you believe people are still saying that? Feeble-minded - I don't know what else to call it.

Doug #1 The ameriKan legion is a fascist neocon organization soaked in the frauds, the crimes, and the ignorance of a thousand generations if what you say is true.
That is, they really, really suck if they are going to let the spirit of Hitler rule them as they talk bu$hit narcissistically to themselves thru dork leaders.
It is like all the lame media whores at Crawford who only go there to inflate their own sick egos. They could give a crap about peace or about love. They want cameras on them.
What a freaking joke bloggers!

Big Dan is right. Of course, we have to counter their "strategy", but that Legion statement is dumb (beside being un-American, of course). It's another desparate, feverish effort against a rising tide which there cannot be stopped. Just what we should expect as we gain in power and focus, right? Expect more of this kind of stuff as we reach the tipping point.
Their efforts will be puny and ineffective, although they may lead to violence - got to be honest. Another Kent State or worse is not out of the question. But lies and feeble-minded dishonesty do not and cannot a movement make. We will have millions on the street if it comes to it.

(a) Some people think, and want to think for themselves.
(b) Others do not want to think, and want someone else more powerful to think and make decisions for them, e.g., Republican lemmings.
Which group is the majority in America? I say the majority is group (a). The majority has gathered factual information, albeit slowly, due to the plethera of lies and deliberate misinformation fed by the Bush administration through the complicit MSM. But the Truth always has a way of shining thru like a bright guiding light, and the majority will recognize the Truth when they see and hear it, and will recognize that following the Truth is the way to true freedom and justice for all in the world.
As for group (b), by abrogating responsibility for themselves, by choosing not to think, they are doomed to be tossed about at the whim of those more powerful who recognize them as being weak, non thinkers, willingly available for exploitation and abuse, and in the end to be discarded like yesterday's refuse.

Actually, assuming how Republicans or Democrats or Independents think is also idiotic ... but assuming how neoCons think is academic.
Anyone knows neoCons think like Rove who thinks like Hitler who thinks like sulphuric acid on skin.
