Is the pressure starting to get to Covert CIA Operative Outter Bob Novak?
For reasons we can’t entirely explain, Novak just said “Bullshit” live on the air on CNN and then walked off the set.
The host for the segment said that Novak knew in advance he was going to be asked about the outing of covert CIA asset, Valerie Plame. Apparently, he never got the chance. Here’s the video…
UPDATE: AP has just reported that CNN has suspended Novak “indefinitely” after today’s bizarre episode!
“We’ve asked Mr. Novak to take some time off,” she said.

Only two weeks ago, CNN executives defended their decision to keep Novak on the air during the ongoing probe into the revelation of CIA officer Valerie Plame’s identity.

I think a BS live on CNN is worth a couple hundred thou ain’t it? I was offended. But, then again, Nofacts offends every time he spews right wing talking points and lies.

Just watched the video. I really can’t make sense of it out of context. Seemed to be a discussion about Katherine Harris running for the Senate. I don’t see Novak cracking up (much as I’d like to). The host (?) said something like "go for it Bob, you’ve gotta show those right-wingers you’ve got backbone" (????) Then Novak said "bullshit", …exit. I take it that Novak didn’t come back? Or maybe he was just taking a potty break? Can anyone clarify?

Pretty weird watching Novak freak out but not unexpected since he’s in the line of fire in so many ways. There is also an article that Arlen Specter wrote today slamming Novak for attacking Specter’s assistant.

But they control the message. They are the machine. No story goes out that they don’t decide goes out, and then it only goes out as they wish it to. And understand, they can "cover" a story by having it on ONCE and their record is clean. Then they can turn to 24-hour-around-the-clock-coverage on some non-story and swamp the little minds of their audience.
We are pawns in a grand chess game. Our moves are small and limited.
If it were not true, then the story of the stolen election in the Ohio 2nd would be on everybody’s lips today, instead of buried in a few courageous blogs like this one.

I viewed the "With Extra" version at Crooks & liars. Don’t know if it was included in other versions floating around, but it was a hoot when the female reporter at the end said "Well we all know what the blogers will be writing about in a few minutes" or something to that affect.

The other day, when Novak commented in print for the first time about his role in the "outting", the article (inadvertently??) included Novak’s email. I sent him one telling him what I thought of him. I wonder how many other people in America also took advantage of the opportunity to give him a piece of their minds. People like Novak get away with so much, it’s a shock when it all starts to catch up with them.
