That woman is so disgraceful. She is so adament about supporting the troops, well let this soldier have three sentences without her interupting with her retohoric.
Quick lets all stop seeking truth, forget the pretext to this war, and blindly support our president and leaders so that we can defeat the terrorist that have swarmed to a country that had nothing to do with the root of all this retohoric 9/11. I just gave my two weeks notice and contacted my local recruiter....I cann't wait....OH BOY....I hope Iran is next, ohhh and maybe then North Korea. Shit I say we stop fussing and support the Sensenbrenner ammendment to repeal the 22nd ammendment. Bush for life. A god fearing, noble, moral, man looking out for the best interest of all Americans.
That lady needs to wake up and smell the roses. The point, is that we should not be there right now anyways....we were misled, and by sitting by doing nothing we may see ourselves led into another pointless war based on false pre-text...in her cycle of never ending support and broad definitions.
Look how well the neo-cons have done with their last war on a noun- DRUGS!!!!
Does credibility mean anything anymore....BUSH HAS NONE>>>

Disgraceful is an apt description of the War Mom. I'm sorry --- she needs to learn to shut up and listen a little.
Funny thing - she kept telling Paul to "stop yelling at the government," yet he never "yelled" anything. She was yelling and rudely interrupting. Ah - the way of the 'Cons. Whenever they're guilty of something, they point to others and blame them for the sins they, themselves are committing. The magician's trick.

Credibilty is something bush challenges in others, like: Gore in the second (I believe) pre 2000 debate
quote, "you have no credibility" which Gore let slide.
Then to Kerry in a pre 2004 debate, the same which Kerry let slide.
bush's credibilty has never been challenged.
Everything in bush's history has been and continues to be a free ride. It is not that he is teflon coated, it is more like the opposition forgot how to 'cook'.

You know what might be interesting is to find out if that woman really does have any children in the war.
To me, she just sounds like a propagandist. I do not think she really has any children or if she does, they are not in Iraq. I would guess she is a fake.
It would behoove them to have both Cindy Sheehan and Paul on at the same time. Then they could tag team the lying witch.
Just my thoughts. what a pycho she is. How would we look into whether or not she even HAS a child in Iraq.
I love Paul. Paul if you read this, you are wonderful.

JPentz #4,
In my google searching to try to find an answer your important question, I ran across this. From 2004, but still interesting.

Patti-Patton-Bader is the grand-neice of General Patton and her comments on blogs over the web are always extremely negative to any anti-war sentiments. So --- I guess it's the only way people like her can have anything to do. I mean, without war, she'd be lost!
Yay War! Now we can beg for stuff for our soldiers who Rummy shipped off without sufficient armor and training just so the oil-slick Dick can stuff his pockets with cash.
Such compassion from these conservatives. Well, I guess they want to help out poor ol' Dick & Are-busto bu$h. Ain't they sweet?

I think it has been almost two years now since Reikoff was stationed as a National Guard member in Iraq.
Shouldn't the left try to find an American soldier with a little more CURRENT information on Iraq as their hero?
What's that? You say out of the 150,000 members of the armed forces that have returned; Riekoff is the ONLY one that will sing your left wing song about that place called Iraq that is now a new Vietnam?

Besides, Hanky, aren't you supposed to "support our troops?" No ? I guess you won't support all our troops --- or soldiers who have served and now are home. No, I guess not.
You're so wrapped up in fighting Democrats and Liberals and anybody who isn't marching lock-step with your neo-Con buddies that you can't remember to follow your own rhetoric. Not surprising, though.

Jimmo Boy, I have a name for you! His name is Paul Hacket. He is an active Marine also more brave than YOU. He's running for office and I demand that you donate to his campaign or admit that you hate America.
Thought so, traitor.
Slink off now, freeper boy!

Please support Veterans against the Iraq War and similar organizations as, obviously, veterans have a unique (and probably increasingly influential) voice opposing the crime of the Iraq invasion.

Jimmo Boy aka Karl Rove,
Why are you still in the White House even though treason has been committed, and classified information leaked?
Can you shed light on all of this for us? Is there an explanation for this?
Also Paul Hackett was just barely **in Iraq** and is 1000 times more patriotic as he willingly served in the middle of bombs.
I think Rove should focus on packing up his things, and less on the Democrats, which will be his undoing.

Even now, many Dems (who seem to be more concerned about clinging to their "moderate" credentials then about considering what "moderate" really means in immoderate times) are painfully slow to realize that there is an army of rightwingers out there, all of whom are highly trained in viewing discussion as war, as conflict where the outcome sought is not truth, but victory.
What makes it all a little more complicated than that is the now familiar bait and switch, the maneuvre in which a right winger argues completely irrationally long enough to anger an opponent as well as confuse him or her, and then just when it is least expected, the right winger suddenly switches to reasonable and sometimes substantive, or seemingly substantive, argumentation.
There is no reason on the other side of the fence, beyond the will to win, at all costs. Even now this fact is hard to grasp, because one cannot help but wonder what perversion of human nature could create such a moral wasteland.
That's why it has taken such a long time for the People to start to turn on the extremists who have seized power. But when they finally really do turn, I suspect there will be a fury that has never before been seen on the American political scene.
Which is why we will see every desperate tactic Taliesin ever thought of and more before the turning finally happens.

I agree with your comment Phil. Lots of days I feel so disheartened after hearing so many brainwashed who mindlessly repeat the propaganda from Fox Faux News reports.
After time here on this blog I forget there's a whole group of people (Democrats & Liberals & others) who haven't waked up to the fact that they're only getting half (or less) of the news from any MSM outlet --- and if they watch only Fox News they're really getting screwed.
I sincerely hope there will be a fury before the cabal turns its war machines loose on those of us who disagree.
Can you enlighten me to who Taliesin is?
Thanks!

I'm guessing if she does have a kid... she cares more about either:
a) killing brown people because propaganda has made her a fundamentalist xenohobic nutcase.
b) pushing the partisan line which she obviously sits far to the right of so that she can raise her profile with local Republican groups.
I don't think that hag gives a shit about her kid... or the fact Bush is lying about the numbers of deaths and injured (and indeed... lied us into war in the first place)
Evidently... if you're going on TV alongside right-wingers... you've gotta spend an hour or two extra on dealing with their interruption tactics.
Shame republicans can't debate anything properly or fairly... shame it's no suprise.

From http://www.soldiersangel...Star_News_SA_History.php

Patton-Bader, a great-niece of Gen. George Patton, founded the group when her son, Army Sgt. Brandon Varn, was deployed to Iraq last year. Her son returned home safely and is now stationed at Fort Sill, Okla.

As far as her rude behavior - I think someone missed her morning Ritalin dose.

My apologies if I got my celtic mythology mixed up. I was referring to the hero who changed form repeatedly in order to escape, or to try to escape. Like I said, I probably got mixed up.
The point is, they'll dissemble, distract and intimidate in every way they can think of. Only with persistance can truth prevail.
Kira, please don't be disheartened. What I think we must all realize and remind ourselves is that the more desperately they fight, the bigger the guns they pull out, the more we can be sure they are feeling the heat.
Look at what is going on and take heart. They have rushed a Supreme Court nomination. They have rushed a Shuttle Launch. They have brought North Korea back to the table with basically the same carrot Clinton used. Yes, they have been pulling the big guns out to chase Treasongate out of the headlines.
They have brought out the screamers and the smearers and the anonymous sources they claim to disdain. They are blowing smoke like a disco gone wild. On message boards one can watch as the extremist antics reach new levels of bullying.
Oh yes, they are feeling the heat.
And they would be feeling a lot more if left wing moderates would get over the urge to appease, get over their fear of conflict.

We now have a lot of Brits supporting the brutal homicide of an innocent man by trigger-happy undercover cops and we have Americans, like this one, saying that it's not the government's responsibility to take care of it's soldiers who fought in an illegal war by a trigger-happy President.
It is times like this which paralyze me with stunned disbelief. These people are truly scaring the hell out of me.

Did this woman's children die in the War yet? Are they in it? What does she have to say about the 100,000 innocent Iraqi civilians we murdered "collateral damage"? Anyone ask her? NO! Does she think there's WMD's? Why does cable news allow people to blurt each other out? And why do the pro-war people always blurt out the anti-war people?

I think what Mrs. Patton-Bader meant when she repeatedly stated we can't keep "yelling at our government" was the typical - don't deviate from the party line. The insinuation is if one does, one is unpatriotic. Disagreement is equated with treason.
As for famous relatives: my great-uncle is Knute Rockne - and? :hehe: And somewhere along the line, I'm related to G*d - so there.

The woman acts like a person who has experienced a bit of pain due to a world view challenge.
It is typical of this type to harden and let humane emotion and feelings die during the world view protection cycle.
Destroy the emotions in order to save them ... like the "destroy a village in order to save it" phenomena in Vietnam and Iraq.
What is left is a burned out hulk shrieking out hateful venom in the name of freedom.
