In the Senate:
Voting NO:
Boxer (D-CA), Burr (R-NC), Clinton (D-NY), Coburn (R-OK), Dodd (D-CT), Enzi (R-WY), Feingold (D-WI), Kennedy (D-MA), Kerry (D-MA), Leahy (D-VT), Obama (D-IL), Sanders (I-VT), Whitehouse (D-RI), Wyden (D-OR);
not voting - Brownback (R-KS), Coleman (R-MN), Hatch (R-UT), Johnson (D-SD), Schumer (D-NY), Thomas (R-WY);
All the rest voted YES.
Conclusion: The democrats caved and the republicans marched in lock step as usual.

Real Conclusion: We spent time, Energy, Money, Emotions supporting a change in government for the sole purpose of ending the war. We have been swindled BIG TIME!
Con someone find out what happened? I think this is the most important issue, do we really have a transparent government or is the whole thing a facade?
Grand Illusion? All The World's A Stage?

I just posted this at RawStory:
The democrats in the House who caved in should be replaced by democrats who will not cave in.
I am joining movements toward that end. There is nothing worse than a democrat who wants to be a neoCon. And so we must begin now to replace them in '08.
When they begin to talk about September and we tried, I can't tell them from the republican war mongers.

At least the Republicans tell you they are screwing you, the Democrats rape you in the middle of the night. Listen to this speech 40 years ago that discussed the same exact thing about taxation without representation.

2006 Elections
If you think bad democrats means the republicans are good you are nuttier than a neoCon fruitcake.

I think you might be misinterpreting my attempt to call attention to a bigger issue than republicans v. democrats. A large amount of congressmen from both parties seem to be controlled by the same companies / NGOs. I did not believe it until now. I was just saying that one screws you with your eyes open, the other when your eyes are closed, but either way we are screwed.
I will never vote for party above individual again. I will scrutinize their record and their ties to companies and NGO's. I also am curious as to how 80% of the senatores we put in to get us out of the war, are keeping us in. Does this not concern you? Are you still playing the Dem v. Rep game while our children get slaughtered in the meat grinder?
