When it was pointed out that the 60 Minutes story he'd relied upon to block all Obama nominees turned out to be total BS, Senator Lindsey Olin Graham (R-SC) explained:
"I've released two of the hostages nominees. I've released two, dammit!
"This 60 Minutes mea culpa caught me by surprise. Ya'll gotta give a good ol' boy more time to come up with a new line of bullshit, ah, another reason before ya'll ask me to release any more hostages nominees."

Ernest quoting Graham @ 1:
"I've released two of the hostages nominees."
Exactly what I thought when I first heard it. Pretty amazing. #AtticaAtticaAttica

When I heard that 60 minutes had retracted the story, and the story had disappeared from any discussion on Fox "news", I actually thought this would be the first time the noise machine would stop telling a big lie for once.
Lindsey Graham proved me wrong. Once the Republicans start telling a story, it lives forever. Taking anything back is just not in their DNA. Saving face until death, even if it hurts everybody in your society IS in their blood.
A simple apology is out of the question. WHY!
