VERY nicely done! Religious fanatics advocating the destruction of other people they disagree with live aplenty in the USA. Another one is living in the White House right now.

The Canadian government is looking at action for this violation of Canadian law that protects gays from hate mongering. People who want to register their complaint with Canadian Broadcast Standards can do so by going to;
http://www.cbsc.ca/english/complaints/form.htm
It only takes a minute and form is very easy.

Jimmy Swaggert has no credibility and holds no office.
Comparing Bush to Swaggert is apples and oranges.
Being against an act does not make it hate.

Ah, I didn't say that. Swaggert did and I have already said he has no credibility.

But, of course, you have not said you condemn such statements or bothered to point out how ANTI-Christian such a statement is.
You're against his statement in sorta the way Dubya is against "all" 527's. Though not specifically the ones that accuse of a War Hero of being a coward and a liar.
Your amount of disingenuousness, disgracefullness and lack of a moral compass never fails to amaze, Paul.

I bet you he don't want to openly debate his idea of religion with me.

I spent the day yesterday(6/3/06) as a delegate to the Maine Democratic Convention.
I must say, whatever "malaise" the Democratic party may be suffering in the REST of the country (like whatever posessed Nancy Pelosi to prematurely announce that we would NOT seek impeachment if we get Congress back!) is NOT a problem here in Maine! The Progressives (go ahead, call them Liberals ... and PROUD!) must've been out in force! We voted on a platform that now includes a demand for IMPEACHMENT of both Bush and Cheney, a committment to bring the troops home, as well as a single-payer national healthcare system, women's full reproductive choice rights, Non-descrimination, making the rich pay more of their fair share of taxes, and denying corporations the rights of personhood. Also firm statements protecting the Constitution as a living document, and denouncing Bush's self-stated right to snoop on US citizens without a warrent.
As a special treat, Senator Russ Feingold, a real hero and the only senator to vote against the "Patriot" Act and one of only a handful to vote against Gen, Hayden's appointment, was there with a rousing speech! I got to meet 3 of the candidates I've been corresponding with over the winter, including Jean Hay-Bright, my choice to run against our corporate whore, Olympia Snowe. Got to shake Governor Baldacci's hand too. He may not be perfect, but he has managed to re-balance the budget and get rid of the deficit Anguish King left us with a few years ago without gutting social services or significantly raising taxes. I was pretty satisfied that at least in Maine, the Dems definately have Cojones! Let's hope, as the saying goes, "As Maine goes, so goes the Nation"
