It may not be exactly the same thing, but I'm sick of CNN constantly calling Hugo Chavez a menace, communist, threat to the American people, etc. I am especially upset hearing it from Lou Dobbs, whom I agree with on Corporate abuse, illegal immigration, and decline of the Middle Class. Chavez is a true champion of his common people and needs our support to prevent the CIA from succeeding in overthrowing him. I find the shift left in Central and South America encouraging for the empowerment of average people and I hope it spreads North of the border.

If you want fiction - movies, Simpsons - Fox is your station. If you want non fiction - truth - PBS.

I find it all so childish. "Nah, nah nah, see what I did" type of thing. This is what you expect from seven year olds.
This is the best little write up I have seen that says it all.
"Would any of the corporate media conglomerates that continue to support his psychotic and destructive policies let Bush run their media empires?
Of course not. They know that the guy is as dangerous as a wolf on LSD --- and that he is strategically disabled. But they need him for tax breaks, regulatory relief, and business favors."http://www.buzzflash.com/store/items/474

My favorite was a print example, prior to the 2004 elections. The Minneapolis Star-Tribute's entertainment section typically leads off with a picture, described briefly, and then descriptions of other things to be seen on TV.
One particular day, the picture was of Adolph Hitler saluting and exhorting a crowd; the lead-off was for a PBS special on the 3rd Reich, and was adjacent to the picture. Below the picture, however, bolded was the caption "The Republican National Convention starts today..."

I think that people who watch and like Fox news are the type that LIKE an unfair playing field. They like playing tricks on people, (in this case, the Democrats). There is a sociopathic thrill involved. Predator and prey. How this ever got to be an acceptable format for a "news" network doesn't put a favorable cast on America's face.
Colmes is willing to have Hannity kick sand in his face for some reason. I guess you can always use the standby argument, "if I wasn't doing it, someone else would be".

Don't forget, FOX also had a ticker asking when the Dems are going to turn America into San Francisco, remember that?
The GOP had their own TV news and talk shows: FOX, Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly...and their own pundits like Ann Coulter.

That's a good analogy actually. Colmes is sitting there acting like he's "on our side". I remember him getting mad one time when he was on NPR and the interviewer intimated that it wasn't a real news show. Colmes got indignant. I wondered if the anger was because he actually thought it was a legitimate show or was displaying the kind of fake anger people use to get out of a bad moment.
BIG DAN:
You mean their own pundits like Ann Coulter, Dick Cheney, George Bush, Colin Powell, Condolesa Rice, George Wills, and every other lying Republican in the country. They have all been on Hannity's and/or Limbaugh's show, as if it was a respected forum.

Although I support an end to the Bush Cabal of Incompetents and believe Fox News functions as a part of the Ministry of Truth I have long wondered just what documents Berger took. There is no question that he did get documents out and at considerable risk not only to his reputation but to his physical freedom.
What documents did he take? I wonder if they were connected to Able Danger program(s)?
