OHO!! OHO!! Do you mean to tell us that Vern Buchanan actually "did" steal the election in Sarasota? Did he attend the same sleazy vote-stealing school as his comerade, Katherine Harris? (Dukie Cunningham's bud). Now Jeb may have besmerched his already-marred reputation for the vote stealing debacle in Florida 2000 once again?? That's a no-no if Jebbie wishes to reach a higher political office, as we all know. The fact is that Jeb wouldn't be elected Governor again, if he could run. He's toxic in the people's minds due to his performance as well as his lineage. I suspect his political career is over as well.

I'm still giggling about the "recount" and "audit" using a touchscreen machine!

Recount? How about revote? How are they going to fix this? The machines aren't going to magically cough up 18,000 votes. And Jeb Bushit talking about "looking" into this. What crap. Wants to seem like he cares when it's quite obvious he doesn't. Othrewise he would have AT LEAST demanded paper trails, not that that is the answer but it's better than nothing but the machines doing the recount. I hate phonies and hypocrites.

Hey, if they go for revote, we need a 2004 do-over. Actually we should start with a revote for 2000. With PAPER BALLOTS - honest, fair & transparent elections. $1.81 per vote, Canadian style.

At this point I'd PAY to vote if it was paper ballots, hand counted in plain sight!!

Jen, when I went to vote on a diebold touchscreen machine I was handed a piece of paper that had every candidate with a box to check beside each name and all the propositions/amendments each with their own box to check. Now, there's my ballot already. Tell me --- what are these machines saving us? It costs around $30 or more PER VOTE on the machines.
My paper ballot won't flip my vote, won't disappear my vote, won't go away if there's a power out or other malfunction.
What a scam.

Yes, Kira, HAVA was the ultimate SCAM foisted upon --- by literal CROOKS.

For all the faults of the old mechanical lever machines, maintenance was certainly cheap, according to Maryland elections judge and e-voting critic Aviel Rubin. “Oil the gears, and they lasted for decades,” said Rubin, also a computer science professor at Johns Hopkins University. “How many people have had the same computer for 10 years?”

We'll see what they say about this, but if you had seen the attack ads from both sides, ran incessantly down here, I wouldn't be suprised that no one voted for either candidate
It got to be so many, I had to change the channel often

The only thing relevant about voting machines is whether they are faith based or whether they are science based.
That is, are they mathmatically verifiable like an ATM?
Whether there is fraud or not is irrelevant and a straw man argument.
It is more promising to point out whether they work and are secure or not, and point it out well. Otherwise one may become exposed to the plague of rancor.

This is a song the preznit rote bout Karl's "magic poll numbers" he used to predict victory for the republican dictatorship this election:
Rove Sick
I'm walking through streets that are dead
Walking, walking with you in my head
My feet are so tired, my brain is so wired
And the clouds are weeping
Did I hear someone tell a lie?
Did I hear someone's distant cry?
I spoke like a child; you destroyed me with a smile
While I was sleeping
I'm sick of Rove but I'm in the thick of it
This kind of Rove I'm so sick of it
I see, I see Rovers in the meadow
I see, I see silhouettes in the window
I watch them 'til they're gone and they leave me hanging on
To a shadow
I'm sick of Rove; I hear the clock tick
This kind of Rove; I'm Rove sick
Sometimes the silence can be like the thunder
Sometimes I wanna take to the road and plunder
Could you ever be true?
I think of you
And I wonder
I'm sick of Rove; I wish I'd never met you
I'm sick of Rove; I'm trying to forget you
Just don't know what to do
I'd give anything to
Be with you
Apologies to Bob Dylan.

OT.....
American soldiers being `taken out` by snipers in Iraq,.. is this a false flag operation by Israel to provoke anger and retaliation with the US military commanders and attribute blame to domestic and foreign muslim insurgents. Stoke to flames of the war against terrorism,.. because it is advantageous to Israel ?
Video link.
Additional commentary: Iraq/snipers
These are not wooden decoy ducks,.. these are American soldiers/citizens. They were sent to war under false pretences - they were victorious in this war. We then made them occupying forces,.. who are now caught in the middle of a civil war. It is long past the time to bring these young soldiers home,.. let the United Nations Forces try to bring peace and stability to Iraq. Our army is not the worlds police force. Our military is not the private army of the corporatists,.. industrialists,.. or the oil barons. How long will the death toll continue to climb ?
STOP THIS bu$$hco MADNESS !!!!!!!

"Americans are an ingenious people, continually seeking innovation in the earnest pursuit of happiness. At times, though, their commitment to technology is counterproductive. Cybersex, is a good example of an American innovation that fails to match what can be accomplished in more traditional ways, for instance, in the back seat of car."

The Bush empire is up to it's hiney in alligators these days it seems! Jeb's comment about "looking into it" really means, in typical Katherine Harris style, "looking the other way". This loss of 18,000 votes definitely WILL NOT go away. It's all over the mainstream news today and has, once again, focused the nation's eye on Sarasota and Jeb Bush. There are so many cases of voter fraud throughout this midterm yet it doesn't seem to make sense to the power that be that these machines are faulty at best/totally corrupt at worst??!!??
Time to return to paper ballots where one's vote is fairly counted. We can no longer perpetuate the myth that these machines have not been hacked, were hacked during even this midterm (as well as they could be since it was not a divided public this time 'round), and will definitely be hacked again in the presidential race of 08. I wouldn't be surprised is Allen conceeded so rapidly because, upon closer scrutiny of a recount, much more "dirt" would be unveiled about the level of hacking in his race.
We simply can no longer put on the blinders of delusion regarding the theft of elections in this country. We purport to be a democracy; we purport to have fair elections and yet we know about these intentional vulnerabilities in our hardware and software and tolerate it? We're the hypocrites if we continue to do so.
It's time to apply pressure on our new congress to ship these faulty machines right back to their manufacturers who assured us, time and again, that they were incorruptible. Hah! That promise and $2.50 might get someone a cuppa java at Starbuck, too!
We cannot let up on this. After all, wasn't it one of Iraq's infamous "benchmarks of democracy" for us to ensure them "free and fair, safe elections"?? And then we turn around and call this country a democracy and have obviously stolen elections. Who are the hypocrites here?
P.S. Jeb Bush's chances of ever rising above Governor are not finished....he's knee deep in alligators STILL (the people have not forgotten) along with Katherine Harris for the botched election of 2000. He'd never even get re-elected as Governor again if he could run. It's now "curtains" for another member of the Bush empire.

thank you for continuing to keep up with the deliberate mess the bushcrime family has made of our elections to permit them to continue to do so much evil to the American people
as poppy bush senior said to sara maclelland "If the American people knew what we Bushes had done to them, they would chase us down the street and string us up by the nearest lamppost." Only our corrupt, corporately owned press has prevented the American people from knowing that the bushes are domestic enemies of the American people and thanks to the internet and patient and courageous people like you, Brad, the Bushes may finally be held accountible for the suffering they have caused in this country and the world.

pResident monkey chimp,.. said this during his last radio address,..
"... we should be proud to hold free and fair elections,.. even in a time of war..."
bu$$hisms,.. your lucky I did not declare martial law,.. but allowed your stupid elections.
#1- We are not at war in Iraq,.. it is an occupation,.. chimp shit brains.
#2- If you declared martial law and did not permit the midterm elections,.. you would have likely been dragged from the White House by an angry mob and burnt at the stake,.. like a Satanic worshiper that you are.
