KUDO's to 60 minutes. Did you know that those Bush/National Guard documents were never disproven? Look it up, if you don't believe me. You wouldn't know this, if you just go by what the MSM was telling us.

I'm not sure its better late than never. Its so late, one wonders if bad people are just trying to retain some shred of credibility going forward. If bad people are allowed to keep their credibility, or the appearance of credibility, maybe its better never than late.

I'm glad to HEAR this...FINALLY!! You have to wonder if the news organizations have less "courage" (aka balls) than our congress. Used to be they were out looking for a story. Now the word needs to get out.
To think that the news organizations had NO PROBLEM keeping up with Watergate, Travelgate, Troopergate, Monica and the other women in Clinton's life. Where the hell are they now?
Now we have something that matters and has substance, and where the hell is it? WAKE UP AMERICA!! Get your head out of your asses!!

"This 13 minute video is the complete broadcast from Sunday night's addition of 60 minutes."
Not addition, Brad, edition.
"If bad people are allowed to keep their credibility, or the appearance of credibility, maybe its better never than late."
Credibility? 32% is a measure of incredibility, not credibility. Since Bush didn't win in 2004 because MOST OF AMERICA HATES HIM AND KNOWS HE IS A LIAR, you don't need to worry about a restored credibility risk. His disapproval rating is PERMANENT.
Regrettably, that doesn't stop a coup.
As for Bush's TANG record, I don't think Bush went AWOL. I think he was BUSTED for using cocaine on the flightline, after having too many wave-offs (and getting investigated).

It isn't news. (Anybody with half a brain or more has known about this for a long time.) It's just big media deciding it's time to say something.
I'm not complaining, but it's surreal and weird and very 1984ish, and just goes to show you that our work has just begun.

Thanks Paul. While normally such typos are strictly mine, this one we can blame on David Edwards who posted this particular item (and seems to have since corrected it). Either way, thanks for letting us know, and I'll dock David accordinglyin his paycheck this week for the transgression.

Hello Brad,
It was just yesterday that Paul in Los Angeles wrote the following drivel to you in another thread:
QUOTE: Brad, you should try not to whine about the past, and about your past efforts (with Kerry, Clark...). Direct address to Gov. Dean is also not the right stuff. We need you to work smart, not sassy. Please do everything possible to pass on your wealth of knowledge to these politicians, and try to abstain from blame. END QUOTE
Brad, some arrogant damn fool really has the nerve to whine to you about what you should or should not write on your OWN blog! Geeez. The nerve of some people!
(By the way, I appreciate when you tell it like it is and lame blame exactly where blame is due, in this case on members of the pro-war Dead Democratic Party.)
Then today, Paul has to nit-pick your writing ("addition" versus "edition"). Who the fuk cares! I knew what you meant. One gets the impression you're not entitled to make mistakes, Brad.
If it were my blog, I'd tell him to go piss off and find another blog somewhere to critique with his snooty little self.

Ive not seen it, but does it make any mention of the sinister Office of Special Plans? which was set up to stovepipe raw intelligence to the white house.

Proof the Neocons were the evil geniuses behind the iraq invasion, and that israel was involved.
'The Israeli influence was revealed most clearly by a story floated by unnamed senior US officials in the American press, suggesting the reason that no banned weapons had been found in Iraq was that they had been smuggled into Syria. Intelligence sources say that the story came from the office of the Israeli prime minister'

"Paul in LA" is back.
Surfs UP!
Paul likes to avoid an immediate answer by saying he doesn't have time right now because his ride to go surfing just got here.
I vote we shun him this time around.
We recently wasted a lot of effort on another thread listening to Paul in LA blow.
Why repeat it?

What's funny is, Mike J. never did say anything about how this was all a bunch of crap and we had no right to invade.. (didn't read his link yet either, but I'm guessing it's crap).
Mike.. what do you say about the FACT that the MSM is starting to "tell the people the truth" and is no longer helping Shrubby lie and disinform and abuse the public?
Some of us have been using the DOZENS of bits of PROOF/FACT that shows it was all lies for a long time now.. what say you that it's being laid out there for public consumption for those too lazy/ignorant/blind/dishonest to get the info on their own?

I did go to his link, it was an article about the Generals who are speaking out. Basically it states that "How to Criticize the War" is exactly how these Generals have done it. Internaly while in service, publicly after leaving service, so I don't really get his point of posting the link.
BTW I don't think you'll get an answer to your question - just chaff!

Wow, what a courageous 'scoop' to bring us. A day late and a dollar short. '60 Minutes' is about 59 and 59 seconds of wasted time. When they do a story about the four conglomerates that control ALL of the 'news' you can get in print or on TV maybe I'll watch that stupid show.

Randy Dredd,
Weeks ago I saw your website once, now for weeks I have been unable to see your website from several different networks and computers.
Did you forget to pay the bill?
I was hoping that you all would be interested in the perspective of a military officer who is currently in Iraq now.
The point, BlueBear2, was that this officer understands, as he says in his public journal, why these generals did not speak up in public while they were in service. An officer can do it respectfully to his superiors in private, not in public, by offering alternatives. That is their duty.
This Army officer also remarks that if the media wanted to find retired generals who disagree with the ones speaking out now, then they could. The fact is that they, like you, do not want to find them.
Savantster,
This is the #4 reply from you to me after you told me two times that you were done with me. Now, I don't want you to be "done with me". But it shows that we all say things that we don't stick to.
As for your statement, do you expect me to say that the invasion was "crap" (as you say)? Ok, let's leave those millions of Iraqis to the whim of their ruthless dictator who killed thousands of them each year, attacked a Kurd town with chemical weapons, allowed his son to rape 14-year-old girls from the Baghdad schools, and "disappear" hundreds of people in mass graves or boxed up in warehouses (that the British army discovered). Get a grip on yourself, you need one.
As for your question, I think the MSM has been helping your Anti-Iraq debate ever since the start. They have tons of negative stories but only a very few of the good stories get published. You don't think that the soldiers pick up on that? They serve their tour and come home on leave too see how the MSM and the lefties treat them. Then they go back to their units and tell others just how down on everything in Iraq is portrayed. I have access to research on this and you would too if you dared to look.
Media Research Center
The information you refer to may have been "out there" for a long time but it may have been viewed by most as being "out there" for a long time.
But if you think that the MSM is starting to put fourth theories that you think they ignored, then you should be happy.
So who is your favorite MSM reporter/journalist? Dan Rather? Mike Wallace?
Oh and Dan, the CBS story was a joke, and a bad one at that. It was shunned out of newsrooms all across the country. They wanted it to be real, for sure, but when CBS fired Mary Mapes, retired Dan Rather, and forced the others to resign, that makes a statement about the accuracy (or lack of) that their "story" had. In the end if was just that: a story.

"They wanted it to be real, for sure, but when CBS fired Mary Mapes, retired Dan Rather, and forced the others to resign, that makes a statement about the accuracy (or lack of) that their "story" had. In the end if was just that: a story."
The BEST example of FALSE LOGIC I've seen you drool out yet.. Since none of those docs were PROVED forgeries (unlike the Niger docs which WERE proved to be forgeries), it's MORE telling that they were all fired "for speaking the truth" against the Administration. See, people don't normally get fired for "honest mistakes", but they DO get fired for "speaking out against abusive powers".. The Admin likely wanted them all gone for "bringing heat" to the Admin, not because the story was some how "false" or "fake". And, much to your chagrin, even IF those docs -were- forgeries, the ACTUAL RECORDS are there that SUPPORT THE ENTIRE SET OF CLAIMS and story, that's been PROVED as well, but not in any "MSM" broadcasts (since the Admin would likely gut that network's news crew as well).
"This is the #4 reply from you to me after you told me two times that you were done with me."
That statement pertained to the other thread. It wasn't meant to be in all cases. Though, your posts here in this thread are starting to paint a pretty consitent picture of you being a blow-hard troll without much substance to any of your points. False logic won't play here with most of us.. we're smarter than that.
There are some pretty solid "facts" that you can't deny, but will try to refute anyway and try to spin.
1) The Administration painted a FALSE PICTURE of what was going on in Iraq (with regard to WMDs and a terrorist connection). *talking about Saddam being a 'bad man' is a strawman and moot.. we don't go around the world disposing all the 'bad men'.. and we actually put some in power when it suits our needs*
2) The Administration leaked the name of a National Security asset for political gain in retaliation for having some of their "lies" brought to the forefront of discussions.
Some day you'll be able to discuss topics at hand like an intelligent adult and stop trying to spin and distract from the point. Of course, that would also mean you'd have to be willing to admit mistakes and accept that you don't know everything.. not something most Pugs are capable of (part of the implication of being a narcissist, I recon).
The POINT is, the MSM is -finally- going to "inform the masses" that Shrubby, in effect, LIED to get us to Iraq.. something those of us with the ability to think and reason have been saying for years, but the masses hadn't been spoon-fed. Now that the spoon-feeding is going to occur, justice (in the form of Republicans being voted out, and the Administration being Impeached) might be served. We'll see.

Savantster,
You are the one who needs to check your drool rate... Rabid hatred of anything Republican in defense of your so-called "truth", is certainly telling of your delusions.
If you and your LIBERAL friends want to believe that the CBS/Rather/Mapes story was true, then go ahead and believe that the moon is made of green cheese and that the world is flat.
If you and your LIBERAL friends want to believe that Mary Mapes was fired under orders from the Bush Administration, that just goes to show how far-out-left-wing you are. There is NO WAY that any press organization (even Fox News) is going to take orders and fire/resign employees because of pressure from this White House or any administration. These are not the dark days of the 1800's or early 1900's when that sort of thing may have occured. CNN did get a few barbs at Pres.Clinton that he didn't like. NBC did not fire Lisa Myers for airing Pres.Clinton's change of emotion from laugh to cry in 5 seconds after an NBC camera crew caught him leaving the Ron Brown memorial service.
As for being a "blow-hard", well thanks but you are just as much of a blow-hard for liberal theories and causes and I am for conservatives and Republicans. The only difference is that I will tell you when I think Republicans are going wrong. My biggest example of disagreement with this President is with border security. He does not think we need a solid wall, but I do. He disagrees with the MinuteMen group, but I applaud them and I'll help fund their wall project.
Now on another topic, I came up with a good idea to help your brother, if you want to hear it. I think that it's a good plan to get the attention of the VA and members of Congress. Let me know if you want to hear it.
Have a nice day!
