Yesterday the CA SoS held a hearing regarding the state certification of the Diebold TSx DRE. The hearing was held in a room that was difficult to locate and was held in front of a microphone attached to a tape recorder. This is what the SoS seems to think of as democracy. In regards to the Diebold machine and Diebold’s actions so far, Jim March of BlackBoxVoting had this to say, “If you don’t want to be accused of cheating at cards, don’t let aces fall out of your sleeves at every step.” Bev Harris and Jim March are going to be allowed to do their ‘hack’ into a Diebold machine on Nov. 30….
ADDITIONAL INFO FROM BRAD: The California Secretary of State’s office will accept public comment on the certification of the Diebold TSx touchscreen voting machine until next week. The scientific exit polls say yes, the neoCons say no, but the polls tell it all.
Brad, thanks for adding the email address to use in making comments.
I emailed the address you provided as follows:
"To Whom it may concern:
The GAO has recently published a report which touches upon the issue of voting systems used in US elections these past several elections. The report is located at http://www.gao.gov/new.items/d05956.pdf and it points out the serious flaws in voting machines.
Courts in your state have ruled against Diebold in suits brought by your attorney general and some qui tam litigants. Visit http://www.blackboxvoting.org for full details.
These studies and investigations cry out for verifiable paper trails on all computer/software based voting systems."

I hope this helps Bev and Jim in their invite to hack the new Diebold machines.
Diebold has demanded that they be able to control the test but Bev and Jim are sticking to their guns. They want to select a random machine to hack in an election day setting …. nothing unnatural.
If enough of us respond the election officials in CA may back off and let a fair test be performed.
Here’s another link to send your message to California representatives:
