She is a leader.
Exactly the kind of leader America and humanity need.

President Bush has dragged our country down to the lowest point in history. Our sons and daughters are dying for what was supposed to be a short war (6 day or 6 week or 6 months maximum). What a terrible leader he has turned out to be.
The president said he thought "long and hard" about Mrs. Sheehan's situation and the loss of others in Iraq. Why didn't he think long and hard before he started this unnecessary war? Doesn't he have enough money yet? If you think we're at war for any other reason than oil you are mistaken.
Cindy Sheehan - we wish you well. You are strong, you are articulate. We share your grief in the murder of your son but are proud of you.

Dear Lorraine (#4):
I understand your frustration. Indeed, I share it.
But, I thought the Iraq war was actually for revenge:
Quote
================================
"Some [people] say that this [war] is personal. Well, of course it's personal. After all, this is the same man [i.e. Saddam] who tried to kill my father." - George W. Bush; Austin, Texas; October 2002
================================
End Quote
So, perhaps it is for two reasons: retribution and oil profit$.

Check this out...
(via Bluntnews)
O'Reilly interviews Delores Kesterson, who's son also died in Iraq (I assume she's also a member of GSFFP) - WMV format.
Some amazingly insightful questions that really get to teh heart of the issue and no mistake.
"Would you go on Michael Moore's website?!?"
What kind of a question is that? Though I guess for the FOX Newsites, such an action is grounds for execution.
"If you had to choose between the President and Moore, who would you choose?"
I personally think Moore is a bit of a twat, but with such a choice, the answer is a no-brainer. (And the answer isn't 'the one who's brain might be going to prison').
And I love this, "you have the most far left elements in the country involved here".
To which the correct response (not given by Mrs. Kesterson incidentally) is: "And what exactly is wrong with the far left Mr. O'Reilly? We live in a democracy as you love to remind us, are you saying that leftists should not be afforded the same rights as everyone else? Are you in fact advocating censorship of leftwing views Mr. O'Reilly? That really is shocking coming from someone who obviously loves democracy as much as your good self."

I heard that Kerry had thrown his support behind Cindy and for a split second, thought he had grown a F%$#ing backbone.
But, alas...
“Senator Kerry understands the demands on Bush’s schedule but hopes he will take time to meet with Mrs. Sheehan.'’
Kerry is, (I hate to say it) as usual, providing a wishy-washy and please-the-middle statement.
The "demands on Bush's schedule" include a fundraising appearance at a local farm and "clearing some brush." That can not possibly hold a candle to meeting with a woman who has made the supreme sacrifice and who represents the voice of thousands (tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions?, tens of millions?) of other Americans who want some answers about this ill-conceived, badly-executed, and quagmire-ish little profiteering excursion that the PNAC crowd has lied us into.
When will we stop hearing about Kerry. He had his chance and he failed. (BTW, I don't mean he failed to win, I mean he failed to stand up and demand accountability in the electoral process as he had promised to do.)
Kerry is NOT the "opposition party" in this country. He is NOT the candidate "in waiting" for 2008 (even if he and his advisors mistakenly believe he is). He is HISTORY. He is 1/100 votes in the Senate, and that is ALL he is. He is a single sentence in the history books, and nothing more.
KEEP UP THE BRAVE WORK CINDY! And to the rest of us --- if you can get to Crawford, this is the time to make a stand! This could be the nexus. This could be the "political Woodstock" of our generation.
1000 people by the 17th.
10,000 people by the 24th.
500,000 people by the 31st?
Perhaps a return to a democratic republic by Labor Day, complete with the total repudiation and disintegration of the mainstream media as those who can THINK in this country realize they can get what they need elsewhere and KILL THEIR TELEVISIONS with impunity.
Let's make history happen, rather than just writing about it.
TO CRAWFORD!!!!

I watched the Bill O'Reilly interview with Delores Kesterson. It was badgering all the way with ridiculous comments from O'Reilly.
But by badgering these moms he will surely wake up even the hard core believers.

David Edwards, I meant to thank you last night for posting that, and I forgot.
I was comforted to see how spunky she is, and that she seems to be feeling better.
I worry about her becoming dehydrated. Dehydration and heat injury can be very serious medical threats.
I know, having recently spent the night in the hospital receiving I.V. fluids, that it makes you very sick. And it can happen so fast, by the time you feel thirsty, your already dehydrated.
Thanks Kira, I'm going to watch it now. I didn't know Brad was going to be on TV. This should be fun!

She speaks eloquently, and obviously her words are heartfelt. She is speaking for many of us. We do not each need to lose a loved one in a war to grieve along with her. She is doing a great job taking on the war mongers and bringing attention to this despicable war.

OHHH! Kira #6 --- Thank you very much for the heads up on Brad on TV --- wasn't he good??? I know he wanted to be an actor at one time --- don't think this was what he had in mind --- ha, ha, ha --- but he's READY, he's SET, and he's GONE --- defending America against her enemies --- and 6 or 7 patriots are right at his heels!!!

Hi, Partridge #7 - Ha, Ha, Ha! Thanks for the "clip tip" --- I've never ever seen or heard O'Reilly before --- what a jerk!!!! If I was ever a Republican, I would have switched to another party, or at least ceased being a Republican --- it would be too EMBARRASSING to be on the same team of morons like O'Reilly and Bushco. --- Ha, Ha, Ha! Brainless losers!!! The sad thing, of course, if that unfortunately, many thousands of innocent people are dying because of them --- including Americans!

Aren't you the lucky one!!
Actually, he's kinda addictive. Like those little pills Limbaugh likes so much. The first few times you try it, it feels weird, even a little creepy, but its totally otherworldly. And you promise yourself... just once more and I'll stop. But soon, you find yourself drawn into a world turned upsidedown, where north is south, west is east and right is, well, FAR fucking right. And left, well that doesn't even exist, except as an evening tale to scare the little ones with, as you tell the story in the flickering light of the fireside under the big portrait of King George II and Queen Gannon.

I think I need to give up Fox News.

Why didn't Cindy camp out with her little protest signs when her brave son, Casey (the real hero) was an active duty soldier? Maybe she was content to bask in the light of his achievements and now she is using his death to bask in the light of the media. How shameful that she thought her very bright, brave, accomplished son wasn't intelligent enough to make his own choices, particularly knowing that he re-upped. As Rhet Butler said in Gone With The Wind, "A cat is a better mother".
