"Hat-tip for the heads up to The BRAD BLOG's Alan Breslauer, with balls the size of Alabama, as seen in the photo at top-left"
No, I believe those are Turdblossom's cheeks--but the resemblance is no surprise.
I'm very glad for Mr. Siegelman. I hope the corruption in Alabama up to the White House is fully investigated and justice gets done (better late than never).
Well done Alan!!!

- Claim to be "conservative" while running up record deficits, dismantling civil rights, construct the biggest "big government" ever.
- Trash privacy with spying on emails & telephones & computers.
- "Lose" their OWN emails.

Oh my! Things are looking bad for Karl Rove. Time to put him on C-span or something so he can do a rapper dance or give a perky speech to show he's having a great time! Maybe he and Governor Bush can do a little soft shoe dance together.
Did you notice the other day when Bush gave a press briefing, he was in the White House and the camera angle showing a oil portrait of Rove on the wall behind him.
These scumbags have got to go, and take their paintings with them. They have no place in America's house.

What no one is mentioning is this - the appeals court wouldn't have taken this step unless there were facts indicating the conviction would be overturned.
It's wonderful that he's being released, but everyone is missing the larger picture; the best news.
The 11th Circuit is likely to overturn.

Speaking of Dan Abrams. I have this vivid image in my mind from the stolen 2000 election. Like many others, I was glued to my television, waiting to see what the Federal Supreme Court was going to rule on the matter they never should have taken up.
The moment came and there was a reporter literally reading the courts decision as he walked down the steps toward the camera. He had an utter look of disbelief as he read the decision and told the camera what a bad decision it was.
Was that man Dan Abrams. I would almost bet it was!

I feel like saying "Thank you big dan abrams" too. Brad Blog gives out awards to the likes of Pat Buchanan, but not Dan Abrams. Shame dat.
The story you mention was the story of the 5 Supreme Delegates of the republican fascist party who decided, decider style, who was better for the people.
I hesitate to say what a jury of the people would do "for" them in a jury trial over that one.

That is a good point. But I think it is a mixture of fact and law.
There is the stink of fundamental unfairness and abuse of power, which includes law ... not just facts alone.
Anyway, thanks for bringing that very valid observation about reversal up. I too expect a reversal. And that means a fair trial and potentially a different judge.
What do you know of the current 11th Circuit? I have been studying the 5th Circuit lately, and wonder about the similarities that one would expect at first blush.

Sorry, Dredd, I tried to reply earlier but captcha wasn't working...........
Anyway, I don't know a lot about the 11th Circuit, except that they tend to decide based on law and not politics. Remember, this was the court which upheld Florida 2000 state courts, forcing Bush to the Supremes.
W has added a recent member to this court, but there are a number of Clinton appointees here too.
I've certainly never seen anything "extreme" out of this court and they rarely make headline decisions.

I knew it. I just saw a program on C-span from friday with Karl Rove acting VERY perky, talking about how the Democrats are in disarray.
The comeback fascist.

If I had my druthers, Vallery Plame would be made head of the CIA by the next President. Gush...goes the toilet we've become. Squeaky clean sounds GOOD to me!
