C-SPAN is the place to watch. Maybe if we weren't constantly nuked with spinning heads, from either side, from ANY side, we could gain back a citizenry full of people inclined to think for themselves.

The old guard simply will never cut it again, anymore...
I've been saying this for a while. Not only are all the republicans corporate sellouts, so are half the democrats.
To get rid of a cancer, you have to strike it out at its source: The lobbying groups themselves, and the voting machines.
The two go hand and hand....
Look, I naively thought this could do better too like you guys did.
I campaigned nonstop for Tim Kaine, and I helped him get into office. I gave him his talking points, got everybody to donate him, I did everything for Kaine.
And now Tim Kaine, elected in a partially fair election has returned the favor.
He's giving STATE OF THE UNION speeches kissing Bush ass, of course.
Tim Kaine delivers state of the union address: Good for big business good for Bush
And Kaine's not really a hero, he's not someone that was going to buck the system. In fact, he is just as corporatist as any of them.
And instead of truly fighting for progressive freedom, he has stabbed them all in the back. Don't give me that shit about Virginia being red/blue purple state, I really don't want to hear it again!
Most people in Virginia are NOTHING LIKE THIS, they do not work for big business and they do not like Bush. They hate Bush actually and ought to deliver their OWN speech, not have Kaine deliver it.
But the DLC could care less about that. Kaine's their man, they just whipped him into shape right away. Big Business and Wall Street are Kaine's forte. If that doesn't make you sick, what I'm about to say will.
None of these folks including Kaine are representing their constituents. They are representing the fucking neocons and their failed businesses. And that is all they do, and pretend to do otherwise.
And why? Because these foreign lobbies can FIRE all of them just as quickly as "we" elected them. Hence why the lobbyists wanted the voting machines. CLEAN ELECTIONS, stolen elections it doesn't matter.
After the person is elected, they will TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR LIVES and shut the constituents up.
And no matter what, the only option is not an R or a D...the only option is a third party, and ending K-Street + foreign lobbyists once and for all!!!
You want to get on the real team, seek out ways to file lawsuits and end not only just lobbying, but the whole fraudulent voting system like Landes has been doing... Vote
Bev Harris was...right. I trusted progressives like Kaine and was stabbed in the back forever...so have millions of conservatives...they have nowhere to go. We must bring INSTANT RUNOFF VOTING back and destroy this cancer....democracy? A total lie

The ONLY person I have any kind of respect for at CNN now is Anderson Cooper. He is the only one left there with any kind of emotion and intelligence. I didn't always see him that way but after seeing the Katrina coverage I know he's the real deal. They should have had him at the state of the union address but Andy would of cried bullshit too much. If I were there I would cry bullshit too.

CNN is as bad as FOX News. I will not watch CNN anymore. I watch Democracy NOW! Harry Belafonte was on yesterday, and Amy Goodman didn't twist his words, or say that he endorsed Hitler, and let him speak. Compare Wolf Blitzer's interview of Harry, and then Amy Goodman's interview of Harry. Democracy NOW! is the real news, it's better than PBS, and it's on at 6pm and 7pm on satellite television.
I urge everyone to ban CNN, I did. Including Lou Dobbs.
If you watch Democracy NOW! news, you'll feel like a fool, that you've been watching CNN. CNN is going, going gone.......to the right, just as bad as FOX News.

I watched the SOTU, with a paper in hand to record how many times bush used trigger words. He actually only used 911 one time that I heard. He mentioned terror/terrorist 20 times in the first 10-15 minutes. He then moved onto the supposed SOTU.
The first few minutes he was justifying his actions in Iraq, threatening Palestine, Syria, Iran, etc., and declaring his spying program legal. The actual SOTU part was pretty much just lies. I was waiting for the democratic response (I was watching on C-Span) and when the Gov. from VA. came on, I thought, who is this guy. I am sorry, what a wretched excuse for a rebuttal. No fire, no passion, just came off like a plastic puppet preacher. Oh well.. must remember 50% of Americans are stupid. M4

What's good for big business, is good for Bush!!
Most of the corporate assholes have taken over the democrats and republicans. They are whores, even McCain even though McCain sometimes does something good.
They are all BOUGHT to the same special interests besides a couple and until thats destroyed, Kerry's "plan" for america is just another fantasy.

Well, if you don't have cnn anymore (they are still way left- funny how anything remotely "middle of the road" is considered right wing) you always have al jazeera.
dems, libs and militant islamic terrorists all have the same agenda anyway. You doubt me? Osama's last "speech" was chock full of democrat talking points. Write democrat quotes down and write down Osama and other terrorist quotes and you can't tell a difference. The only thing distinguishing terrorists from democrats is the accent.

Fox news is better than cnn and msnbc in allowing democrats to finish a sentence and an occassional thought. Fox also beats in having a democrat other than Biden and Lieberman....I let my dishnetwork go about a month ago...was only left with Fox for a few weeks. That's when I looked at fox for the first time and found it less frustrating than cnn and msnbc. Don't have any of them now and am feeling better and better.

Jim, the next thing your going to say is that liberals are terrorists. There is no comparison. The reason Liberals sound like terrorists is because they oppose an illegal war that was put together by criminals. If that makes liberals terrorists then by all means you can call me one.
The fact of the matter is that making a generalization like that saying that liberals sound like Osama gives comfort to the enemy. It makes them think that they are converting Americans to their ways. (See- the giving the enemy comfort- thingy works the other way too)

What a joke and a half! They made up that video so you would think all leftists are like the terrorists!
LMAO! It was a spun lie by the neocons. If you fall for that crap you're sadder than I thought. I don't know a SINGLE PERSON who talks like that and agrees with terrorists.

I don't think "all liberals are terrorists" but in their quest to destroy George Bush they will either make an unholy alliance with them in one way or another or become useful idiots (which I think is the case).
We were hit on 9/11/01 because we didn't take terrorism seriously. Sure, I'd love to blame only clinton (he bears a major responsibilty in our blindness) but Reagan should have been even more forceful than he was in 1983 when the Beruit barracks was hit. maybe if he'de gotten Kaddaffi a few years later, terrorists would have taken America more seriously. kinda hard to do that after you had the weakness of carter, but Reagan wasn't too bad, just needed to be a little harsher. Bush should have immediately rescinded the stupid Clinton/Reno/Gorelick "wall of separation" order forbidding the FBI, CIA, and NSA from sharing intel on terrorists, but he didn't.
Now you have a war in Afghanistan democrats supported. Then you had a huge run-up to a war in Iraq (which for strategic purposes against iran was a good move) that democrats voted for. Remember that tidbit- DEMOCRATS VOTED TO GIVE THE PRESIDENT THE POWER TO INVADE IRAQ- and the violation of 17 UN sanctions by saddam kind of sealed his fate.
We are better off with Saddam gone. To be against the US on this is to allow mass graves of over a million people and be Pro-Saddam- there is no other way to cut it. And Ramsey Clark, for his actions, is a traitor and he should be tried and convicted and hanged. A former US Attorney General goes to Iraq, defends a dictator and enemy to America, and says evil shit and lies about America.
And back here you have democrats calling for immediate withdrawal from Iraq (then vote against it when given the chance) they call the president "liar' when they said the same things and are on the record for it, they derail the war effort and impune the troops. Yet, somehow, through all of this, they think they are the good guy victims yet don't understand why 80% of the troops voted for Bush over kerry.
it makes no sense. So, saying "liberals are terrorists" is not truly accurate. Saying "liberals are useful idiots and give Osama his talking points" is a bullesye for the truth, and to deny it shows blindness and ignorance.

A few examples of democrats supporting war before being against it (after their base got to them):
“One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line.” Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
“If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq’s weapons of mass destruction program.” Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
“Iraq is a long way from USA but, what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face.” Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998
“He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983.” Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998
“We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S.Constitution and Laws, to take necessary actions, (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq’s refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs’ Letter to Ex-President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others Oct. 9, 1998”
“Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process.” Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998
“Hussein has chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies.” Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999
“There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue a pace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies.” Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham! (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001
“We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them.” Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002”
“We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country…”Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
“Iraq’s search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power.” Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002”
“We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction.t’ Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002”
“The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons...” Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002”
“I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security.” Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9. 2002
“There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction.” Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002”
“He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do” Rep.Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002
“In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members it is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological! and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons.’ Sen. Hillary Clinton (D. NY), Oct 10, 2002”
“We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction.” Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002”
“Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime . He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America’s response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real…”. Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), January 23, 2003
