Does this quote sound like something we've heard before ?
"It was Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador's election to lose, and he lost," said Andrew Selee, director of the Mexico Institute at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington."
Saw this article in the St Pete times print, they don't have it online, so they tell the people something different in print than they have online ?, sounds about right (wing), so I got it here

"Don V. Cogman

"
Where have I heard Burson Marsteller before ?
One of these guys were Bush for this Bush for that,
Like Stuart Holliday, I've ran across him before from looking through IRI stuff, part of his bio
"Assistant Policy Director to Governor George W. Bush in Texas; Executive Director of the Dallas Council on World Affairs; Regional Director for North Africa, the Middle East and Turkey at the International Republican Institute; United States Naval reserve officer."

I'm feeling fear. I won't be manipulated by it, but it's in my arms and legs. Just got done reminding Bob on another thread that we have FOUR piddly-ass months to nix these machines and get ballots we can hold and count and recount until EVERYONE feels secure about the election results. I may fall on my face in a minute.

I see most, if not all of these outfits are 501 c3s
If we get rid of that designation and keep chasing them, they will go away. These outfits replaced the CIA in manipulating emerging (and established, pseudo) Democracies since Carter
Some of our politicians are aware, and want to rid us of these menaces, with a little push, they will topple

Something I noticed in long years of activism is that no matter how many obstacles you place in their paths, they always find work-arounds, ways to game the system --- their will to work their will is bottomless --- and it always ends up a bigger, thornier, knottier, pain in the ass, pain in the heart, to prune it back. It is the weed that never dies, Floridiot. The blindness is the apocalypse, and it makes no sense at all --- EVEN when billions can be made and world affairs manipulated. Letting life flourish organically, and civilization too, would produce so much more excellent results, so much more excellence. PERIOD.

They'll be on again tomorrow at 1pm... Brad should pipe in at about 1:45pm PDT. He rocked. But, well, Bobby really touches me, and it isn't really even about his dad, his family. He has always worked his butt off for the little guys, for the people, for the planet, and you listen to him, unscripted, and even with his voice disability, it's music, really, really pretty music. So.
Brad has the aura of a gathering militia about him, very positive.
Bobby has the music of North America, when the air is hollow.
I'm doing a Zen thing today, seeing and hearing with something other than eyes and ears. It's pretty; it's scary; it's truth. Pruning is good! You can catch it tomorrow. xoxoxox

BB2, I know,I shouldn't post this stuff, but the point I've been trying to make all along is that all of these creepy outfits have the same tactics they are using here under a different guise.
They've taken everything that they've learned abroad, and turned it inwards on the American people
What you see going on "over there" is the same thing thats going on here, only its easier to pull it off here because we're all asleep, and they are all lawyered up and in the power positions to pull it off (i.e;Blackwell)

article just out from Narco News: http://www.narconews.com...Issue42/article1967.html
Many observers have compared the post-electoral conflict in Mexico 2006 to that of 2000 in the United States. While there are indeed parallels (as well as distinctions) to be drawn, there is a very important difference in the equation, and it is societal: That part of the electorate in the United States that was robbed did not see any way to fight and overturn the fraud, or simply was too gullible or afraid to do so. In Mexico, however, the path exists, a critical mass of the Mexican populace understands exactly what was done to them and is ready to assume the ultimate risks to overturn the crime. At stake for global capital and its increasingly simulated election processes not just in Mexico but throughout the planet is the manufactured belief that nothing can be done. As occurred a century ago, with the Mexican revolution of 1910, Mexico is on the verge of, as Zapatista Subcomandante Marcos has often said, amazing the world again.
All of this being exposed could possibly be the hair that breaks the camel back, or at least help wake up a lot of the Sheepeople to stand with us when it our turn in November.

Yeah John #27, the "distinctions" from what I've figured out so far, is that the election laws are different in Mexico, and they are not directly in positions of power, except the PRI is, so therefore, they have to alter their tactics for each country, i.e; dumping ballots is easy, flopping electronically is the same, easier to manipulate ballots there, the town cops were filling in ballots at a police station in one of the cities in a Obrador stronghold (Oaxaca), thats why they were short ballots at the polling stations
This from an artical at NARCO
"And then there was a call saying that the state police barracks at Santa Maria Coyotepec held thousands of ballots which the troops were busily marking for distribution to the polls at the close of the day – a believable scenario given that so many polling places had “inadvertently” run out of ballots. The caller said his uncle, a police officer, just couldn’t bring himself to do it and blew the whistle. The uncle said the police had been working for three days to mark the ballots. The caller’s voice wavered with emotion as he described his uncle’s information."

Oh and here, a parallel, I read somewhere that a election volunteer was booted out of a polling place after the polls closed, then walked around the side of the building and saw the election officials carrying boxes of ballots out and throwing them in the dumpster
I think it was in South Florida '02

Close elections...close opinion polls. Maybe it's time for more private opinion polls. I haven't trusted Gallup in a long time. Don't think there are that many people who like being poor and turning back to the middle ages...watching the planet burn up because of greed. Maybe big oil knew they had to steal the 2000 election because Al Gore would make them be responsible..pay taxes etc. Then when they say how easy it was, just kept on doing it.

I owe the IFES find to this meeting, (I stumbled across it) the guy representing IFES was a questioner after the first woman spoke, she at first said that the Mexican elections were not important, so she wasn't going to talk about them much, then thats all she talked about and that sucked me in, that and the introducer kept telling everyone present that the meeting was "ON THE RECORD"

I was wondering whether the voter turnout had any influence on the manner in which the Mexican people are dealing with their election. Such as if a huge turnout produced a large proportion of the total populace which was angry enough to protest as they are.
Here's my findings based on the "official" results:
Per Wikipedia.org The turnouts were: USA - 42.45% Mexico - 58.90%
Andrés Manuel López Obrador received 35.31% of the Mexican vote.
58.9% x .351 = 20.67% of the population.
John Kerry received 48.3% of the American vote.
42.45% x .483 = 20.5% of the population.
WAKE UP AMERICA!

You've got black SUV's, I've got bombs!
3:00 this morning we were awoken to the loudest explosion I had ever heard - shook the whole house. This morning I found the remains of a large firecracker in the street and figured that was it, although it seemed small for so much noise.
Later my wife found the remains of a plastic soda bottle on our front porch. It had been blown to pieces by something inside of it. Pieces were stuck in the mortar of the bricks and the front door.
We're hoping it was just some teenage prank with stuff left over from the fourth, but a video camera and recorder are now focused on our porch.

He told me, when he finally recovered, that I'd told him, very poorly, that I didn't speak Spanish because my head didn't have a job. I meant my brain didn't work, didn't do other languages, and he, bless him, got it.
We think we're so frickin smart... when just about any Joe, anywhere in the rest of the world, not only knows English, but knows it well enough to tell how badly you're mangling their language, and what you actually meant to say. But, no. We're the top dogs. Sheesh.
Almost asked the kids standing next to me to read me the paper, but then I realized they were indians from the local rancheria....
Maybe they're busily recounting the votes... including the dumpster ballots. Maybe we should tune to BBC to find out!

For Bluebear 2: The New York Times is following the Mexican situation, albeit on an inside page. The latest development is two photos that evidently show overt fraud by Calderon's supporters. One observer (with an American name) in Mexico City was quoted in today's article as saying Lopez-Obrador has made a strong case for recounting the votes. In any event, the result has not been certified, and won't be until late August.
Lopez-Obrador has called for (peaceful) demonstrations against a stolen election. He must be a conspiracy theorist.
