Without a doubt, the best Jon Stewart clip I have ever seen. I missed this show and was going to catch the re-run tonight. Thanks.

Thanks for that video, Citizen! I saw that and it was even more hysterical the second time!
Although I must confess to feeling vaguely Russian calling you 'Citizen'. )

:plain: Finally, the people who have to pay the price of war have a voice. They no longer have to remain silent.
The elitist with no skin in the game dismiss those that have paid the ultimate price with the phrase...noble cause or honorable death. No ...there has to be a clear threat to our country and family for this to make any sense at all. Noble is only in defense of the US citizens not some elitist use of the military for some manufactured pretense to serve their purposes....

We're told not to question Bush's motives for invading Iraq. The truth is, he's questioned his own motives, repeatedly.
There are stated motives and subliminal ones. Let's start with the stated motives:
1) To rid Iraq of WMD. FALSE
2) Saddam Hussein linked to Osama-9/11. FALSE
3) Iraq buying uranium from Niger. FALSE
4) Create a Western-style democracy. NO CAN DO
5) Reduce terrorism RIDICULOUS
6) Liberate Iraqi citizens THEY DON'T THINK SO
Now the unstated motives:
1) Redeem assassination attempt on Poppy. MAYBE
2) Protect Israel. DOUBTFUL
3) Glom Iraq's oil. MAYBE
4) Stimulate economy (war spending) FUTILE
5) Demonstrate American power NOT WORKING
Since Bush has never given a clear statement as to his reasons for invading Iraq, his motives are certainly subject to question. You can't lie and deceive constantly and then say, "Don't question my motives." Unless you're G.W. Bush, who does whatever the hell he wants, the public be damned.

It amazes me that there is so much evidence of deceit (among other things) in this presidency, yet people are still behind him. What the hell is wrong with them? This guy needs to be impeached immediately, but he'll get out of it. He always does. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that someday he'll have to meet his Maker. Wouldn't you like to be a fly on the wall for THAT?!
Peace.

Why do people still believe in him? Because if they admit he was wrong the whole psycological basis for this "trust" points to them as being idiots too!
When Americans stop watching what they watch, adoring who they adore-Rich white trash Paris Hilton comes to mind--having "experts" tell them what to buy, having political ANALysts tell them who to vote for, allowing presidunces to tell them who is on the Hatellist, then we can call ourselves citizens.
Want to fight terrorism and make Pretzelman turn green?
Don't drive over 50 mph--it is easy and it saves money.
