So much hypocrisy and corruption...
So little time.
Since I'm still in catch-up mode, you'll perhaps be pleased that I don't have enough time for all these items that have popped up over the past few days.
Each of them --- were this the Clinton Era --- would have prompted days, weeks and months of damning debate and criticism of the Democratic President in the Mainstream "Liberal" and Rightwing Extremist Media...and likely extended Ken Starr's investigation until they found something "impeachable".
But that was then and this is now. What a difference a political party and a stolen election makes.
So the following items are hardly noticed in the passing torrent of endless news cycles, who's fascinatin' rhythms are determined by Fox and Drudge, and dutifully followed by the rest of the mainstream "Liberal" media.
Sure, they occassionally stop to focus on important news stories, like the GOP revelation that John Edwards is a "Disingenuous, Unaccomplished Liberal Trial Lawyer", but other than that, the M.O. is keep moving as fast as possible, so nobody will notice what a disaster this Administration has wrought.
Here's just a few examples of what would have been BLOCKBUSTERS in the Day of Clinton. Sadly, I've got little more time than to simply list them quickly with a few pointers where you can get more info if you're interested. If you're a Bush supporter, however, you probably aren't.
Pentagon: Bush Military Records Destroyed - The records that
could have proved George W. actually wasn't AWOL in Alabama have been destroyed in a freak microfilm malfunction at the Pentagon. Whodda thunkit?
'Outfoxed': New indie documentary claims Fox News Channel biased towards the Right! What?! I had no idea! Daily directives uncovered in the film from Top Fox "News" Execs include: On the 9/11 commission hearings:
"This is not 'what did he know and when did he know it' stuff. Do not turn this into Watergate."...On Iraq coverage:
"Do not fall into the easy trap of mourning the loss of US lives and asking out loud why are we there?"...On operations in Fallujah:
"It won't be long before some people start to decry the use of 'excessive force.' We won't be among that group."...And on Bush's judicial nominees:
"[They are] being held up [by the Democrats] because of their POSSIBLE, not demonstrated, views on one issue --- abortion. This should be a trademark issue for FNC today and in the days to come."
Classified 'Annexes' to Taguba Report suggest Rumsfeld knew what was going on at Abu Ghraib -
US News & World Report got ahold of what we weren't supposed to see.
"The abuses took place, the files show, in a chaotic and dangerous environment made even more so by the constant pressure from Washington to squeeze intelligence from detainees...'I was told a couple times . . . that some of the reporting was getting read by [Defense Secretary Donald] Rumsfeld, folks out of Langley [the Central Intelligence Agency], some very senior folks.'"
A Vote for John Kerry is a vote for Osama bin Laden -
"He couldn't say where. He couldn't say when. He couldn't say who. He couldn't say how. So why did Tom Ridge even bother coming out before the microphones and cameras yesterday, stirring up public anxiety about a pre-election terror attack?...Al-Qaida wants to "influence the American election," we are told. The terrorists hope to "pull another Spain," where the ruling party was voted out after the Madrid subway was bombed. The implication isn't accidental, and it gets real ugly real fast: A vote for John Kerry, we are supposed to conclude, is a vote for Osama bin Laden."
Years worth of Indepent Council-worthy investigation. If this was 1996. Such as it's 2004, however, you probably barely noticed most of these stories, all from just the last three days or so. Mission accomplished.
